Also, POSSIBLY dodged his death. Bucky was not the architect of Howard's demise, he was just the weapon Hydra chose to aim at him. If Howard messed around with the serum in the future, or got too close to figuring out the whole Hydra thing, he'd still be a target, and Hydra has other assassins they can send. But, with Bucky on the loose, Hydra would probably be exposed way before they are ready to try to take over the world again. They've got 25 years head start this time, so Howard MIGHT be OK.

Since Bucky is breaking away from Winter Soldier programming, then I guess Howard isn’t killed later. Wonder how that would affect Tony having a dad his whole life.

She may not have done much more than fly the jet and examine Quill's ship. But it was still nice to see a bit more of Mar-Vell than just the flashbacks we got of her in Captain Marvel. 🤣

I like this but i don’t like the marvel humor and jokes and all that. I know it’s a cartoon but it’s like they don’t know what’s at stake and are joking around having a good time. I thought season 1 didn’t do that at all except for maybe the party episode. Kinda disappointed about that but everything else is okay

She's actually proof that marvel knows how to write good female characters, when they aren't focussed on 'the message' They could've made her arrogant like Captain marvel, putting down all the male characters, and is instantly perfect, but they didn't. She accepts help from male characters, she makes mistakes, and the closest thing you have to her putting down people is typical banter of a team.

For me, the best and most chilling moment in this episode was the winter soldier introduction. The music when Peggy sees the Winter Soldier was so chilling!!!

Bill had such a cool Goliath costume, but I wonder if anyone will be wearing it in live-action. What I liked about this episode is that Hank and Howard tapped into their humanity to respectively bond with Peter and talk Bucky down. It’s also cool to have Atandwa Kani return as T’Chaka in his prime.

I loved Goliath's costume! It was a great combination of his comic suit and MCU Ant-Man suit.

Hope is the one who actually saved the day by telling them to deal with Peter like a child instead of an enemy. That convo between him and Hank would never have happened. I liked this better than the first episode

@@slenderphizics What mindset? Actual quality and having standards? This episode did a poor job at selling the emotional impact where the team forms and has no real dynamic. Bucky makes his turn very quickly and the episodes aren’t long enough frankly. The way Ronan went out in the first episode of this season was embarrassing with just the door closing. This isn’t exactly Blue Eye Samurai or Primal where Primal has no dialogue, but is significantly more emotionally impactful with the same runtime.

I hope Marvel eventually starts doing full-length animated movies. These half-hours are as good as some of the DC animated films.

I'd watch a show about this team. These fools really gave us an avengers one shot. Peggy and Howard seeing Bucky.❤

Before he decides to go to Jotunheim, his buddy Fandral says "This isn't like a trip to Midgard, where the mortals worship you". And later when he does get banished and he says he's Thor, son of Odin, Erik Selvig doesn't believe him because Thor is from the Norse myths. He later goes to a library and opens a book, and it shows an illustration of Thor and Odin in Norway, with Odin holding the Tesseract, and the text below talks about how they came to Norway in the olden days and were revered as gods. And on top of that, there's also a deleted scene of the Warriors Three when they come to Earth to find Thor, where they look around and talk about how Earth has changed since the last time they all came. tl;dr Thor and the Asgardians came to Earth before in the olden days. that's how they became revered as Norse gods.

Season 2 is pretty good so far, but I don't get all the salt for Season 1. I really enjoyed season 1 all of the way through.

It is odd. I thought for the most part people were pretty positive about Season 1.

When Howard said: why don't we just throw the seedling into a garbage bin? I was like: like father and son! And the fact that in this timeline he prevented his death 3 years down the line by reaching through to Bucky!

Also, secret wars literally has an entire police force of Thors. 1000s of Chris hemsworths. Not sure if you’ve read the 2015 comic…it can realy *only* work with too many characters. I’m not saying everyone will get dialogue and 10 minutes of screen time but we’ll see em

Loved the episode. This one was serious yet light hearted, intense yet emotional. The 1st one was better but this one was good too. I hoped they wouldn't nerf Thor tho, thor vs Ego could have gone hard but ig this was Starlord's show.

Plus lets not forget Thor isnt a GOD God. He's just a god to humans, but again they are essentially "aliens" with more magical technology than humans and can live longer. Ego in the meanwhile is a Celestial (an actual space god), either being a planet or heck have forms that are taller than 3 Earths

The winter soldier introduction sent chills for me and the chemistry they had was really avengers like so that checks out , I also really liked Thor in this one for some reason, and the ending seeing them as a team, that I'm really excited to be watching more of!!

It's interesting because it was howard who got throught to bucky. Meaning that the winter soldier would not have killed tonys parents in this universe

Many things have changed that would give different outcomes in this universe, Peter quill would not form the guardians of the galaxy Ronan destroys Xandar, guardians 2 doesn’t happen and Rocket would’ve ended up dying by high evolutionary and Drax rest of his life in space prison. Peggy basically assembled the avengers the Avengers 1 and age of ultron Dont happen cause no mind stone no ultron and vison with no Loki and Tesseract, Asgard and the 9 realms are gone so no Thor 1 no Dark world no Ragnorak and Tony has his family which may change him in many ways Star lord would be involved in all ant man films, Yondu lives and civil war probably still happens but very differently Many things will be different in this universe if they do any sequels to this episode

In just this one 28 minute episode I felt the same joy as I did with the first Avengers movie! This is absolutely and Avengers team I would love to follow. I also love that they got Atandwa Kani who played young T’Chaka in the first movie (who was the real life son of the original T’Chaka John Kani) to reprise his role for this. And we got to see Laurence Fishburne’s Goliath in uniform finally!

Most animated series are 22 minutes an episode and the rare ones are 40 minutes or longer.

Notice when howard is trying to get through to bucky when bucky closes off howard the lense on his scope goes completely dark but when howard mentions steve the light re-enters his scope as he is coming back to the light and choosing the right action

Not gonna lie, that Winter Soldier stinger with the music as Bucky walked past gave me chills.

I preferred this episode to the last one because I found it a more intriguing what if episode than the last one

Me too! I think it’s cause I watched Blade Runner for the first time a few years ago and didn’t care for it, so found the Nebula episode meh. This ‘88 Avengers was cool.

I do wish it was longer so the character introductions felt less rushed and some of the emotional moments had a larger impact. But I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t have fun or it didn’t have a few nice moments. I really like how both episodes have wildly different tones.

I love the fact that it’s just a quick glance. It’s in & out in 30 minutes. “Wanna know more, or well, we’re just checking in.” Again, just like in the comics.

This ep went harder on the Bucky feels than I expected I wasn'T READY

Man, this episode is so goddamn cool. Makes me want to see more of this universe. Siblings Hope and god Peter sounds so interesting.

In each episode so far there’s been a reinvention of an Avengers team. I hope that comes to fruition by the end of the season.

Bucky finding his way in 90's NYC is something I need....and does some KGB from Brighton Beach, Brooklyn run into him....so many stories.

I loved the DBZ frame with Peter vs Ego

I would love to have a King Azzuri episode because they keep hinting him, and he is supposedly the wisest king of Wakanda. So to see an episode with him and maybe Isaiah Bradley would be awesome

That's the Thor I've been missing!

What this episode also did was save Howard Stark. Winter Soldier won't un-alive Tony's parents in 3 years.

This is my favorite episode so far

@@GingerGeek7567 Y’know, I never understood the notion that making Thor “funny” or have a sense of humor was the best move. Yea sure, he was more enjoyable but even when he was more “serious” from Thor 1-AOU, he still cracked jokes and was fun to watch on screen. I thought leaning into the Norse mythology side was actually cool and seeing him as an absolute powerhouse instead of a bafoon we see nowadays was always better.

Like the previous episode I'm actually very surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. 8/10. I think these episodes are brilliant proof of Concepts. It kind of makes me wish we had an opportunity to truly explore whole shows with these types of episodes. I would love to watch a whole show on just nebula in a film noir type show or an 80s Avengers show!

While I think it's cute that Hank Pym welcomed Peter Quill into his family, doesn't Peter have family in Missouri? When Meredith died, she had people in the room with her. One was her father, one was her mother and one was her brother. Peter has a grandfather, grandmother and uncle waiting for him. What happened to them?

I feel like it makes sense that Peter wouldn't become evil. No matter how long he stayed with Ego. Though it would be cool

“Hope shouldn’t be there.” Wildly, this is a call back to cartoon and animated series of the past that had child sidekicks on the team for moral lessons. Super Friends, MASK, Defenders of the Earth. Captain Planet took it to another level where the kids were the heroes calling on the henshin icon

Yeah I feel like this episode should've been way longer but I'm glad little Starlord got a happy ending. Even though I expected him to be the big antagonist the whole time. My current expectation is that at least some members of the 80s Avengers return in the finale because their whole team up and interactions seriously feel like the Avengers 1 coolness for me

That whole conversation between ego and Peter is very reminiscing of Omni man and Mark

A Kurt Russel vs Michael Douglas movie set in the 80's but made in 2023 with kid Star Lord pulling a Ray Gun is something I didn't know I needed ! These first 2 episodes are hitting HARD ! This season stars on the rocks ! Couldn't be more excited for it ! First season was overall okay (although everything with Supreme strange and the final 2 episodes with Infinite Ultron were some of the best the MCU has ever done), and I'm super glad this season is putting the bar so much higher !
