Hey! I found you through the VLOGGERS group on Facebook. I love what you had to say about "writers block" and trying to get high quality videos up and to film only when you feel inspired. Lots of people post regularly, but their content in mediocre at best (I myself have fallen into this trap at times). One of my New Years Resolutions for 2019 is to produce more HIGH QUALITY videos on my KZread channel.

RobinNicole Thanks for the comments. I have definitely decided to go down that route. It’s so easy to get pulled into the trap of just putting out videos to try and get the numbers. I am only going to make videos when I want to during this year and not feel pressured to produce to a schedule. It will be interesting to see how it affects the channel. How are you enjoying your channel?

@@MikeGoughTV I love it! It has become so much more enjoyable when I focus on Vlogging for fun and to genuinely share my experiences with others, rather than doing it for views/subs.

Couldn’t agree more. I have done a few videos when I have been traveling around and I really enjoyed making those ones. I can’t wait for the summer to arrive. I get so much more inspiration in the nice weather. Good luck with your channel and thanks for checking out mine I will be sure do the same.

Nice one Mike, personally I go for quality over quantity, I decided not to vlog regularly but only when I had something interesting to make, I don't think my life is interesting enough to vlog regularly :-) Also I'll try to remember to keep my camera dry :-)

Good to see you back here, Mike! Glad you're taking some time to take a break, enjoy that Tele, settle down into 2019 and not rush into anything. I totally agree that it's always MUCH better to make quality over quantity. It does no good to make subpar content just to fill a time slot. Great advice about growing a channel and expanding your community - which is pretty much how we connected. This KZread thing can be fun, and stressful, and exciting, and exhausting, and very time-consuming. Forcing yourself to create things that your heart isn't into will just make that experience less fun and less rewarding. This video is really great, by the way: the shots, the locations, the content, the editing, all of it. In regards to the writers' block, you're already great on your channel. What you don't want to do it put out content you're not going to really like yourself. You have a new creative outlet, your guitar, so take some time to focus on that for a bit. That's more rewarding enriching right now so just continue with that and, like you noted, create content on your channel when it feels right. It might be a month, it might be tomorrow. You never know! Have a great day, buddy! :)

One Guitarist Thanks Nick for the fantastic words of encouragement. It makes it all worth while. I think I will probably start trying to pre plan my videos a bit more in the future. I have been really enjoying the guitar though. I have to be honest, I have hardly picked up the acoustic since I got the tele. 😄

@@MikeGoughTV They can definitely be addictive and fun. Pair that with a good single-malt and an entire fun weekend goes by fast. Since I'm planning more videos, let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like me to cover and I'll definitely throw it in. I have some more song break downs planned next, but on my Stratocaster, and I've had a few requests for picking and strumming videos that details nuances and practice recommendations.

I will for sure, and your dead right about the single malt. I have even started drinking bourbon sometimes it seems to go really well with a bit of ice and a guitar.
