16:59 It's the amount of food you eat at the end of the day after being hungry all day. You can reduce that feeling by eating less, or by lowering the amount of carbs.
@SamVimes27
27 күн бұрын
Yes, definitely. You can easily do one meal a day and feel great after eating, you just have to eat normal stuff and not the junkiest junkfood I have ever seen in my life.
@sdfggdfg5fgdfg
27 күн бұрын
yes, with less or no carbs in your OMAD ( a big junk of meat) you won't feel the post meal coma quite as much But there could be a different problem where your digestive system can't stomach a lot of liquid rendered fat and makes you terribly sick. To combat that just keep the temperature below the rendering point of the fat. (dont make it well done, make it rare at like 50°C)

@@ginj8134 I'm not starving myself. Not eating for 24 hours isn't difficult at all for me. I don't even do that for dietary reasons. It's as simple as it can get: I just rarely got hungry until 2 pm and that's two short of a time span for me to squeeze two meals into. For the rare occasions I just so happen to get hungry earlier, I always have good yoghurt, cranola cereal and fruits at home and at work.

@@SamVimes27 I’m not saying that I’m saying that people who eat two to three meals a day just stopping all together and eating once isn’t good. Their body’s aren’t used to it and it can result in vitamin deficiency’s. Me myself am like you I don’t get hungry until late but I’m used to that. People like you and me aren’t starving ourselves by doing that because it’s what our body is used to and we get enough vitamins and nutrients. But other people don’t.

the thing you mentioned about the meals at the end of the video! The way I fixed that issue for myself is by eating small things throughout the day. Instead of one big meal, I would eat like 5 small ones. What happens is that after your blood sugar is so low for so long, eating a meal makes it go up dramatically and then you get a big crash right after. The way to prevent it is to make sure you're not too low on your blood sugar for too long. If you eat small snacks then you also will still get the productivity of how you feel on an empty stomach.

Hi Canoe! Binged all of your videos and now waiting for my next fix. 16:53 What can help is the term hara hachi bu (腹八分目) or "eat until you're 80% full.” When we eat, we use a lot of energy so when we stuff ourselves, our bodies becomes parasympathetic (resting phase). When you eat up to 80ish percent, your body wont work as hard to break down all that you’ve eaten. Hope this helps!

A good way to help with feeling better after a meal is to go a walk. Ye I know, it sounds crazy. All you want to do is just put your feet up and chill. But trust me bro... It makes you feel so much better after. You get that tummy full feeling with that serotonin release. What a mix. :)

I recently found your channel, and you have inspired me to cook more interesting food. Thank you.
For the pizza crust: 1 cup AP Flour (sifted) 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons oil (vegtable is cheapest for me, so I use that) 4 tablespoons of water (trying with more, but that is about all I can manage for some reason) That should roll out into a decent 12 inch sheet roughly a quarter to a half centimeter thick or so. Buying a costco 50lbs bag of flour for 20 dollars lasts for literal months for a single person, regardless if it's for pizza, pie, noodles, etc.
If you have slightly frozen chicken, you can cut them much thinner for your noodles.
2:30 this guy knows his memes
A good tip i learned when rolling dough is to flour your rolling pin and the board as opposed to flouring the dough and board
I might be the only one but the throw back clip of Björn Skifs made my heart smile.
To make the best tzatziki, here is the recipe. For a kilo of yogurt you need one cucumber grated 4-6 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar and olive oil. Grate the cucumber and add salt to it, leave it for 5-10 mins to release the juices that way you don't have to squeeze much, and it makes the tzatziki less watery. Put the cucumber in the yogurt add pepper, the garlic (I prefer it minced but grated is OK too) and almost equal amounts of olive oil and vinegar the tzatziki should be mildly peppery and garlicky (I overdo it sometimes). Stir it intensely with a fork and let it rest for at least 1 hour for the flavours to combine (better to leave it overnight).

if you don't want a tranq dart for a meal I would recommend a light mid day meal to break the fast, I like salad with chicken and fruit and plenty to drink, with a massive meal before bed is what keeps me the most zapped especially with carb heavy meals the insulin spike and subsequent food coma will make you feel sluggish so if you want that feeling of not being food coma id recommend lighter more frequent meals, or keeping the large meal to the end of the day gl canoe

If you make pizza in a pan, you can also heat it up on the stove a bit before putting it in the oven. This way you can guarantee a crispy bottom. Or a buent one if you overdo it..
hi canoe! :) feeling like you never wanna move again after eating is mostly caused by either too much food in volume, too much fatty food or you ate something that your body can not process very well / you are allergic to it. after watching the video i'd say try a bit less oil/fat or even meat in your dishes or eat about two thirds of what you would normally it. Also eating deserts or other high-sugar containing foods after a big meal is not optimal for your digestion. your stomach will stop digesting your main meal to concentrate on the desert because its sugars are more easy to convert to energy than your main meal, especially when it's fatty. hope i could help! love your videos btw :)

Being sleepy after eating may be a sign of your glucose spiking, which is not good on your insulin and hormones, maybe check with your doctor and do the blood test, but not only the glucose one, it may come up normal. Do the insulin levels before and after eating+ after 2 hours have passed, to see how it fluctuates. You can curb glucose spikes by eating in this order: 1. veggies/fiber 2. Proteins 3. Dessert (i.e. starches and sugar). Don't eat your carbs without protein and fiber. Also, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar diluted in a cup of water before meals will help too. Anyone who's interested, look up glucose goddess.

My mom has been buying Factor meals for the past month and they're surpisingly good.
I was today years old when I found out the way I've been eating meals every day has a name... OMAD. Ever since I had the gastric bypass surgery back in 2004, I just eat one huge meal a day, and snack throughout when needed, which really isn't often considering I just don't get hungry anymore. Food itself has lost any and all meaning beyond fuel for my pointless, lumpy meat-sac.
