What I Do All Day Retired Early

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Every wonder what I do at home all day during my free time when I am not recording or editing videos? Here is a glimpse into what I do. It's really hard to pinpoint what I usually do so I'm just going to document what I did in one day instead. It changes all the time but generally, I do things with my health a priority along with saving time.

If I had all that time I'd be having a jolly good time. I got so many things I want to do with my time. I make a list and put it on my fridge and I get a check if I do something on it. it includes: learning a piano song, learning a guitar song, painting a miniature, reading a book to better myself(broken into chapters so easier to get check), reading a book for fun, learning a new subject(broken into small goals for easy checks), eating a fruit or vegetable, watching a movie, exercising. I make them easy so it's not high pressure.

You may want to consider keeping a rotating stock of non-perrishable food in your inventory, in case extreme weather or a natural disaster happens. Natural, minimally processed snack foods like roasted almonds and sunflower seeds are a good option. If you think this is a good idea, make sure these items are something you eat on a regular basis, so that you are constantly eating it, buying fresh stock, and not letting any go to waste.

hey btb, was wondering since i remember your videos of u workin on ur car u seemed more than capable and u also like making improvments to your investments. What about starting some of your own home remodeling projects? like start small with new bathroom tile or do some yard stuff like retaining wall or fountain/patio/brick work?. I feel like the ROI per hour of your time would be similar to your former engineering job and it would be something you get to enjoy. you could timelapse/record parts of the processes and then do a cost effectiveness analysis on your unit time by using zillow statistics for increased home value? maybe do it with a small project then do a bigger project and show how the time efficiency scales with the size of the project? have a good day

You will not live long if you retire and watch tv all day. I am 43. I retired 3.5 years ago. My first year was terrible. Now, each day, I do yoga and either lift weights or go paddle surfing. I pay close attention to my investments. I play with my kids nearly every day. I fish a lot. I stay fairly busy. I am in great condition now. I am happy. If you do not keep your brain and body busy, you are just waiting to die, and you won’t have to wait long.

My random comments...just because. If you could pick a character from your favorite comedy tv show, would you reinact a day in their life? Just wondering...You ever been to a thrift store for price comparison reasons? It seems you spend a lot of time thinking, planning, analyzing. Is that your day to day mindset? Do you miss the routine of going to work? Have you thought about gardening? or Volunteering? or following a financially self made person around for a day in their life? Like I said...random...Hope you are feeling better

Can you do a video on loneliness that could come with FIRE and being single? I am FIRE-ready, but am pleasantly finding my job is less stressful once I met the threshold. I am able to speak more openly and take action aligned to my own values and priorities. SometimesI I wonder whether my FIRE positioning is just a way for me to escape. Obviously it is better to be FIRE-ready than not. With regards to loneliness I see it as potentially being a significant downside especially on FIRE. I’ve been blessed with a happy marriage for many years and I think a long term life on FIRE could be detrimental to me without a partner.
