What If I Lost Everything

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In the catastrophic event that i lose everything I have already accumulated, it's interesting to speculate what I would do to try to build myself up again. It certainly wont be easy but it certainly wont take the same amount of time given the experience I have accumulated. Like they say, you can take away the money and material things but you cant strip away the knowledge as it is inherently part of me already.

Petsitting saved me after a severe work injury and losing my house. I found a listing on Craig’s list for a business person that needed a dog sitter and would trade free rent for a few months for caring for his dog. Sometimes families with disabled or elderly parents are looking for someone to be a live in assistant so this can be free housing or even slight pay.

I ended up with both a furry best friend and a human one too. My now roommate gave me the opportunity to keep my own dog while I was pet sitting his dog. The dogs are now like brothers and my dog Strummer’s health has improved greatly with a new environment with less allergies. Sometimes the Universe looks out for you and blesses you in ways that you never imagine. All my years of working in a field caring for animals... and that love for animals saved my life.

Actually there is a book written about this. A guy with a degree did not use his degree. He went to all 50 states to see if he could get a job, earn a living and have a place to stay. He managed in all 50 states to do this. Did he have a lot of extras (cable, new things, etc.)? No. But he was able to get a place to live, eat, used furniture and a job doing menial work in every single state. The thing he took away from this experience was to DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN you cannot afford, finish high school, be a hard worker, do not be a slave to out of control habits (drinking, smoking, eating rich foods). It is a very interesting book. I forgot the name of it.

I like the video having a skill set is important, It can take you a long way and positive 'can do attitude' is golden. In general, education and a entrepreneurial spirit is more valuable then youth/ athleticism and good looks because those will fade in time. Here’s an idea if you lost everything and were homeless. You could find elderly people who still lived in their own home, but needed assistance. Home health care assistance is very expensive, and people would probably give you a place to sleep at night in exchange for your labor assisting the elderly. You might need to move to a lower cost of living location, with better employment opportunities. There are “Now Hiring” signs at almost every business near where I live. The “Now Hiring” signs have been in place continuously for three years. Simulating being homeless won’t work, because you know that you are not really homeless, and you know that the experiment has a time limit, when the homeless experiment is completed. Simulated homelessness is also dangerous. You could be attacked, injured, or killed. You might injure or kill someone that is attacking you, lose in the court system, and end up in prison. How much do you make from your KZread videos now, and how long did it take to build up to that income? Are you practicing living in a cardboard box?

From your frugal tips and the things I learned from Great Depression Grandparents and Parents I could live on one weeks pay, saving the other three weeks pay. Because I’ve done these ultra-frugal things, when I purchased my new service dog, I COULD write that check for $69,000.00 USD. I had that money set aside and it didn’t touch my long term savings buffer. I get shocked looks when they ask about my service dog. Most 99.9% THINK THESE DOGS ARE FREE. figuring the inflation cost, my next goal is to save $100,000.00 USD for this dog, my current dog reaches retirement.

What you’re talking about can only be done if losing everything didn’t have much of a psychological impact on your mental health . It would be extremely devastating for someone to loose everything and then have the motivation to try to improve their situation. It’s also pathetic that most companies can’t even pay their employees a living wage with full time hours. People now a days need 2-3 jobs just to stay afloat while these companies vest all their interests towards their executives and shareholders. 😑😑😑😑😑😑

If you lost everything, it seems possible to get loans from family and friends. They have seen how wise you have been with your money in the past. They would have confidence in your abilities and your good character. If I were not in a barely getting by situation right now, I would contribute money to you so you could get back on your feet. In the past my husband and I have helped people. One time we had a homeless family live in our home for a short while and had the man work at my husband's business.
