    Always learn from you! For me, it is so important to have fun with food, enjoy variety, have satisfaction, and to hone my cooking skills. I’ve been enjoying the “Mindy” versions of the recipes and following along with the videos. MacroFriendlyFoods recipes have been delicious so far, in spite of being low calorie, which is paradigm-shifting for me. I’m seeing now that there is a different way to go about this, that is building new habits which are enjoyable and life-enhancing, yet will allow me to find my way into living with less calories overall.     It's been a pretty life-altering mind shift for me, too. The fact that these recipes really do (for the most part) taste like their much higher calorie counter parts is crazy to me. I'm so grateful for all the creators out there making this journey so much more enjoyable for me. 💜

    Welcome to the channel! I would definitely take a look at my side effects video to start with, and other than that, I've been documenting my journey for the last 2 years, so I talk about pretty much everything here. Since you are diabetic, I'm sure your doctor has recommendations for your diet but I would do what you can not to do anything too extreme. Make sure whatever you do is sustainable. If you can't keep it up, the weight is bound to come back. 💜

    Do you weigh your food before you cook or afterwards? You may have said that in the video but I’m still watching. I’ll forget to ask by the time I get to the end lol

    Hey Janice, If I'm cooking, I weigh the ingredients as I go. The MFF recipes have a serving weight, so I just go by those but if I'm making up a recipe or using a recipe that doesn't have a serving weight I will weigh the whole finished dish and divide by the number of servings to get my serving size. The nice thing about Macros First is that it will let me add a finished weight for a recipe, and it calculates the serving size for me. Also, if I'm not hungry enough for a full serving, I can just input what I was able to eat, and it recalculates the calories and macros automatically. ❤️

    Awesome to know. I started using macros first too. Thanks for answering that for me. I always struggle when doing a casserole type dish.
