What Happens When A Koi Eats A Rope???

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you're a Koi keeper, water garden, or aquarium keeper you might enjoy this short video about what happens when a Koi swallows a piece of nylon twine. I'll have a new update of how Leon The Lobster is doing in his large new aquarium soon.

Common carp (which koi are selectively bred from) are omnivores that eat both invertebrates and plants material. So, it highly like that this koi mistakenly ate the rope thinking it was an aquatic plant.

I know you’ve gained a lot of subscribers after rescuing Leon and that is in fact how I found you. And that’s absolutely awesome! I’m really glad people have discovered you and your channel. But with that being said I just wanted to say please don’t stop making other videos like these with your koi and other hobbies. A channel is special when it’s diverse and filled with many other things. A lot of creators fall into the trap of suddenly becoming famous and start doing things the people want to see rather than what the creator actually wants to do and it becomes more commercialized and they lose what made them so special in the first place. You have something very special here so don’t let this new found fame stray you away from who you are even if your other videos don’t get as many views as the ones about Leon. With that being said tho PLEASE don’t stop doing updates on him! I love that lobster so much lol. Keep up the great work! And most importantly just keep being yourself! :)

Lol I have no idea what end it came out of ! You are a kind man I can tell by your videos. Thank you for sharing I live Koi. I have 3 goldfish that just turned five this month. I won them at a ping pong ball toss with my now deceased roommate in January 2017 at the Fort Worth TX stock show. They were tiny then and were feeder fish. There was four but one only lived a couple years. The three amigos left are much bigger now and they're quite spoiled. They eat 2 times a day and are kept in my bedroom in a 30 gallon tank. They don't like it if I sleep late and will start splashing around to wake me up. I will need a bigger tank soon. One is a fantail I guess he got mixed in with the plane ones. Anyway I plan to keep them as long as they live. They are extra special because I got them with my best friend/roommate that passed in June after we got them in January. He had a stroke recovered and then died in his sleep. Anyway I love my fish. My first job was in a tropical fish store lol.

Had a similar problem when some betta fry decided to eat a thread of silicone that was peeling off the inside of the tank. 4 were all connected, nose to rump as the next one in line decided to eat the thread hanging from the first one's rear end. I very carefully get them loose from each other, one died but the other 3 were able to pass the silicone without any trouble. Fish are rather dumb at times.

I remember as a kid when our cat had swallowed a string of yarn. My mother noticed when I pointed at the cat's tail and said something about poop on a string. It seems that the end in its mouth had engaged a tooth and the cat couldn't pass the rest. Once my mom popped the strand loose, that cat ran to a nearby flower bed and made the most awful noises passing what had built up. BTW, gorgeous fish you got there. Reminds me of that ad on TV about the GOLDfish in the lake.

It may not be as popular as Leon but I really love your koi videos! I keep some myself since I was a kid but I've only gotten deeper into their research lately. I love both short and long videos.

It seems to me that the fish trusts you, could that be so? I mean, you did not even give it a name, but I expect, a wild or frightened fish would have wiggled much more in your hand and panic… right? How old is this Koi? How long has it been with you?
