personally, I liked the "we went" part of this comment! I smiled!

The way Leon carries himself when first introduced to the new tank is so different from when you first got him. Before he was curled up, kept his claws low because he knew they didn't work, he was weak and timid. Now he is stretched out, claws up like a boxer, he has confidence now. You surely gave this $30 grocery store lobster a new lease on life!

As far as i know, lobsters dont actually age at all, and only die because they grow too large and become unable to climb out of ther newly-molted shell on their own. With human assistance, leon might just live forever.

Absolutely. "Everything with a nerve system can feel pain" is my motto. We have a big problem with invasive slugs in my country, most folks pour salt on them (!) Which means slowly melting them alive. And they feel pain. I hate them, they are disgusting and does a lot of damage. I kill them by cutting their heads off very fast. They do not feel any pain. Hate an animal or not, being cruel is never an option. Period.

I grew uo with a tropical fish tank instead of cats and dogs. At night, my family would gather in the living room where the tank was and just sit and watch it. It was nice. Kind of meditative. My family life wasn't always the happiest but I have fond memories of us all watching the fish tank. This takes me back to those times. Thank you for that.

The lobsters at grocery stores are always so listless, barely even moving their antenna; much less walking & cleaning. Leon is so active, curious, & proud of his clean space. They say lobsters are brainless things that don't need enrichment, but my dude here got him a private trainer to strengthen his claws so he could do more things. He explores. He's always doing something. He doesn't have a human brain, but he looks so vibrant & alive, man... You're living my childhood Lobster Rescue dreams, lol!

I was happy to see Leon had a good grip! After his claws were rubber banded closed for so long, I thought even Brady was concerned they would work again!

Leon is living large in his new pad and with his high quality diet he has come a long way from being trapped,shipped and kept at the local grocery.He's like the turkey that gets pardoned every year.

This guy went from a barren tank, starving and claws banded shut, to a beautiful new home, lots of food, friends and no worries at all. Truly makes me happy :)

This is the greatest series I didn't know I needed until I randomly stumbled upon the first video. Absolutely heartwarming.

I must admit, that was one of the first times that I didn't fast forward through the ad section. A lot of people try to make their ads entertaining, but viewers usually just want to get to the content of the video. You did a perfect job of making the ad entertaining AND tying it in to the content of the video. It didn't even feel like an ad. On top of that, those knives were looking really nice- I might actually buy a set. Bravo sir!

When I was in college, a friend of mine had a saltwater aquarium in his dorm room for his pet lobster. His came from the seafood counter in Walmart. I was with him when he bought his lobster, and still remember him explaining... “No, I don’t want it steamed, I want it alive.” Scared the crap out of the checkout girl when she opened the box and that lobster reared up with his claws raised 🤣😂🤣 He kept that Lobster for years. Lost touch with him, but ever new video about Leon that comes up makes me think about Mike and his Lobster... good times

I was actually happy to see Leon fight back when you were trying to scoop him with fish net. When you first brought him from the grocery store in a paper box, his eyes were pretty much dead. He didn’t flinch, move, or try to defend himself even when you cut the robber band. It was obvious he had no hope, just quietly waiting for his demise. Now his eyes show so much emotions and vigor. You made him want to live life again. Now he wants to fight and defend himself when he thought you were trying to trap him (you could literally see the anger and betrayal in his eyes he looked so upset 😭 ) he is so so much more than just a menu on a dinner plate. I’m glad you found him.

He seems so intelligent! He really went for that green pea, like a kitty with a new toy. What a cool animal!

Lobsters are such cool animals!!! We found a sweet water lobster (I think you would call it a creyfish (?) in America) on the bikepath a few month a go. She looks like a smaller version of Leo. In the Netherland they are considered an invasive specie, as they are not native and they are a threath to our local wild life and they destroy are dikes😬. My son asked if we could keep it. We bought a tank and she is now part of our family. She is young and still growing, she has shed her skin about once a month. It is by far the most interesting pet we've had!

I read the title and got so worried that this was going to be the end of Leon's story with us, but it actually was a happy and exciting turn of events!! I love Leon and your story!!

I'm glad Leon's theme is back in this video, couldn't have Leon without his classic background music

Was looking up a video for a specific type of bug for my 4-year old daughter (boxelder) when this popped up as a recommendation and I couldn’t believe how engrossed I was. I like the slow-pace of it and the breaks between speaking. It’s so refreshing and soothing as if you are recreating the feeling of watching an aquarium in real time. I never realized how complicated lobsters anatomy is! Absolutely amazing!

I love how many people are invested in seeing Leon be happy and thrive. I was legitimately worried you had given him away.

Right? I told my dad about Leon and this man on KZread that has saved him and was saving up for a new bigger tank.. I said to my dad yesterday: "I need to see if Leon has a new home.. I hope all is well!" And yes, I too was a little worried about Leon, like I hope he's still alive.. Then saw this update today. Good news to update my dad on lol (I'm 43, my dad is 72, we go grocery shopping every now and then)

@@MissTrixie29 they maybe have them a week, they fight each other constantly, they're literally just is water with nothing they actually need and they don't feed them. It's actually so bad they'll help each other get the bands off and "jump" another lobster to each him if they've been in there long enough

I used to have a 'Blue Lobster' - actually a fresh-water crayfish - who was a VERY curious little guy. One night, I heard weird tapping noises coming from my 55 gallon tank and when I turned the lights on he was just hanging out on the lid of the aquarium. He stared up at me - with apparently what passes for a look of surprise in a crustacean - and immediately hopped back in. I have no idea how long he had been doing this. I imagine Leon might have pulled a similar 'disappearing act' had you not secured the top! 🙂

Hey, can you please tell how to set up a crayfish tank? I am quite interested in crayfishes. I already know how to cycle a tank, add plants, acclimate the fishes. I am just curious for crayfish tank requirements. How big does the tank need to be? Do we have to use a specific type of gravel? Do we need a heater (I live in a tropical country)? And also what food can we give for crayfishes? Thanks!

@Jamming Python it depends on what kind of cray you get. I have a Florida blue and a vanilla, both require Temps of 65-75°F. I keep my tanks filtered and they have gravel substrate (2 separate tanks). My vanilla is a very very young cray and isn't even as big as my pinky finger so he's in a 10 gallon all to himself until he's big enough. My female blue is currently in her own 20gLong until I can get her a 50g. Make sure you have plenty of places for it to hide, not over exposing them to light, and they're best on their own than with anything else. My female has a minnow in her tank but she won't eat him, she's supposed to, she just won't 🤷‍♀️ As far as food goes I give mine chopped up blanched veggies, blood worms, and fluval bug bites, all on different days. I fast them once a week and then ill change the type of food every week. Mondays for worms, Tuesday veggies, etc. Theyre pretty cool lil creatures so if you do decide to get one, please be sure to do your research on the species of crayfish and their requirements. My blue could have a vastly different lifestyle than another type. Good luck!

I was so distraught for a minute, I thought "Leon Goes To A New Home" meant new owner's home and not a new aquarium. So glad that Leon got his new aquarium and there will be more updates in the future!

Was honestly scared that Leon was being given to someone else when I saw the title, but I am happy that he got a bigger tank. I am really enjoying these videos. I started watching just to see if you could keep a lobster at home and have gotten way more interested in this than I thought I would.
