Can we all agree that this a game that needs another sequel With modern graphics? It was a great game and loved the bounty hunting concept and missions.

Ea have renewed the rights this year and last year to the game i dunno why but maybe they might release a new one

For years I thought a Mercenaries sequel on the Frostbite engine would be epic. Plus EA did want their own GTA/Assassin's Creed, at one point.

Mercenaries 2 was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, but certainly a memorable experience. Would definitely like to see a third installment finally. ☺️

@@CPT85 Plus the reason that....I think the days of C&C type games are gone. If I am not mistaken, they have been superseded. Sad because they were not actually bad.

i used to have a demo of the first game. I was amazed how much i could do even in the restricted region of the demo, it was like a complete game for me . Very different than any other game of its category. Little things like just climbing a slippery rocky mountain around a waterfall or hiding on a hill while u ordered massive airforce bombing of the village and watch the chaos escalating was SUPER fun

I miss Mercenaries. I hope someday it gets revived. The concept was amazing

I wish another company got their hands on the franchise. A company who'd actually use it.

After playing the very fun destroy all humans remake, I was also thinking how much I hope they would make a mercenaries remake

I check for updates on mercenaries 3 like at least once a week I'll just be like that game was fun wonder if there any news on it

this are my favorite games just before metal gear and silent hill... and still waiting mercs 3 with frostbite engine.

Such nostalgia i have really fond memories of these games and i also still have them in playable condition but to this day i still hope and dream of a new Mercenaries game

Loved Mercenaries and would love to see more of the series. This was like Farcry 3456 before they came out. Also just Cause is very similar, but I played all the way through mercenaries back in the day on my XBox.

i don't get it. alot of people say that but i don't they're similar at all. if anything, mercenaries is objectively better open world game design. i mean, there are more than 4 vehicles in mercenaries, and does an alcoholic Russian jet pilot flying a poorly maintained jet bomber drop nuclear bunkers busters upon your enemies in just cause? No, i thought not. have you ever interacted with the people who run New faction HQ's after you capture 'em? their some of the liveliest and interesting characters you'll ever meet. i can't even what just cause was about and i finished both games.

I just remembered this game today. Holy shit I would love a new one. And a new good red faction

A fantastic open world sandbox story game with absolutely no BS. I hope they bring this series back, however keep the simple, satisfying gameplay. So many great games have been ruined with tacky gimmicks and microtransactions. I still play mercs 2 on PC, and find it better that most the crap they churn out these days.

Gaming Media calling Mercenaries a "GTA-Clone" was so annoying to see. the amount of freedom, player choice and creativity that this game encouraged is something that games don't do anymore. which is why comparing it to the confined, scripted and linear games from Rockstar Games was allways so offensive to me...

We need mercinaries 3 or a remake

The first one was definitely the best.

Just Cause salvaged me after Mercs, who else here? Mercs 1 was the best. Mercs 2 was cool but it did not live up to the same charm like the first one did, though it had more funny moments. Some gameplay features in the second were improved, and the thing it did do better than the first was the depicting the story with more cinematic pieces, something we see little to none in Mercs 1 (mainly news broadcasts and in-game contract briefings).

The best GTA like I say. In Just Cause, you're pretty much OP from the beginning, infinite parachute/wingsuit/explosives/grapple, it's Saint Row 4 tier. But in Mercenaries it's much more balanced, you can't spam any parachute or grapple to move faster than a car, so you'll still need to use vehicles to move, and the whole system of affiliation with an army or another was great. It's Just Cause, simply better.

We want Mercs 3 with realistic physics and playable Planes. Why published EA not a Remake, Remaster or a nxt Part?

I really wish mercenaries 2 was backwards compatible on series x

I think I had maybe 🤔 under 5000 hours in good old missionaries 2 I loved that game my faction was ether the un or China thos we're my favorites but also can't beat the rebels ether

Just Cause isn't doing too well EA could easily deal with that competition if they made Mercs 3

Would be amazing to get a 3rd game. Just cause 4 itches that itch the mercenaries 2 left. If just cause 4 had airstrikes and even more destruction, would have been mercenaries 3 in spirit.

Dude, I think it and you say it. Any one of those companies that know how to make a Mercenaries game should be the ones either to make a new Mercenaries game or just do a remake of the first two. Fix them up, update them, make better and then give them back to us just like with the Destroy all Humans remake back in 2020. Both games need a remake for the modern gamer and for those who played them back in 2005 and in 2008 and EA really needs to let this happen, because they are not getting much love from me these days and a remake might get me liking them again.

PS2 Had some of the Best Games of All-time. Glad to be a part of that Era of Gaming.

I hope it does come back with new version on the original north korea game just got it again of the xbox store and loving it

One of my favorite games is mercenaries 2.

As much as I'd like someone to make a third one, I just know it won't recapture what we had. Which is the problem. That and the games were timepieces, a 3rd entry now would likely feel entirely different from the formula and writing of the previous games, there'd be no point. I wish Pandemic didn't sell their souls to EA.. too tragic

As much as I love the Mercenaries games I don’t think EA will release Mercenaries 3. I mean how would they add a battlepass and monetize every part? Would they make players pay $2.99 for an air strike.

GUYS PLEASE UNDERSTAND, the Second Game wasn't bad. it was rushed beyond believe because EA purchased Pandemic and wanted to liquidate the company, the game was basically finished so the sent it out. I Just want to play the first game i ever bought again, i could point out nearly every bug i've ever come acrossed in the game still, and it's been years, if they wan't to patch it before a rerelease i will do everthing i could to help, i don't care about money, just the virtual money piles in my looted spanish villa!

Mercs inc looks like it would have been a Battleroyale game a decade before battleroyale games became popular. looks like EA dropped the ball again.

Switching to EA is suicide, Pandemic was one of the first to find out.
