I feel like Khadgar going missing is hinting towards a return of another character who might save him, Medivh.

Khadgar's head-in-a-bubble finally exploded, taking Dalaran with it. Very sad. :(

Whatever the case may be, I am glad they didn’t spoil the story. I do hope Khadgar still lives.

I believe Xal'atath captured Khadgar, so i don't think he's dead, but other NPC's believe he died when Dalaran was attacked (im not sure it was fully destroyed since all we see is some debris of couple of its towers but maybe it crashed into the sea and that's where Azshara could come into play in the future possibly, but i honestly don't think we will hear anything from her at least until this three part saga is done

In cinematic Aleria coming to Dalara talking about void taunting her from below. Then she enters in the violet citadel, and we know there is a Khadgar with rest of kirin tor mages. I guess she comes to say what she saw and to seek help. I think they moved Dalaran to the place of the new events.

I just thought wouldn't it be crazy if she was overwhelmed with the void and was the one to destroy dalaran. This could lead to a lot of inner turmoil for her if she came to her senses right after the fact.

My guess is that Dalaran gets involved after the quest line in 10.2.7 I also think Dalaran blows up and Kadghar might teleport or send the central tower out with us in it to save us from the explosion

As many others have said, Xal'atath also knows from her experiences with us during Legion that Dalaran is an impressive strategic asset. Taking down Dalaran forces us to fight without a portable, floating hub to hide within. She's making it clear that, unlike the legion, she won't be easily defeated. She's seen the inside of our cities, inside Dalaran, she's even traveled into the Seat of the Pantheon itself, stating she's achieved something not even the void lords could do. She's a villain that has been learning about her prey the entire time and can use it against us.

i blame shadow priests, yea she could get data with it regardless but shadow priests had full access to dalaran carrying the blade she was trapped inside so she knew of its advantage against large armies

I just hope her attacks against us are intelligent. She is suppose to be intelligent and she saw what shadow priests did in legion and saw us take down n'zoth and azshara. There is no way this character should take us lightly. The whole (haha puny mortal) thing doesn't really work for someone that acted as a companion to the hero at some point.

idk man...Blizzard hinted very hard that Khadgar's time is coming to a close when you talk to him in Oribos...back in Shadowlands. It was a very somber conversation.

Dalaran works as a moving military base whenever they go to a place where they don’t have allies. I bet they tried to move it to dorne to start the incursion but xalathat knew this somehow and had a trap ready. Perhaps xalathat has the power to mind read Alleria, who was in dalaran by the time it gets attacked

They want Khadgar? Brilliant idea! As is the Karazhan connection! "The Lord of Ravens will turn the key" and all that ... Still it might have been a trap from the start. A shield around the Island that only the combined might of Dalaran could break and the gathered heroes planning to make it a base there like in Northrend or the Broken Isles.

considering it doesnt look like all of Dalaran, i like the idea that hopefully he teleported it and himself away to safety im excited to see whats all gonna happen with Karazhan! i never knew much about karazhan, or much about Khadgar and Medivh until i just recently read The Last Guardian book and now im really invested haha. i already liked Khadgar a lot cuz of Draenor xpac, and the WoW movie. so i hope he doesnt die

If Khadgar is actually dead, of course they're not going to spoil that in any way before it happens. These interviews are scripted & well regulated to prevent that info from even being referenced.

they took the dark lady from us. metszan takes down all the lame humans, and dal for helping alliance more than the horde, hopefully they take out more alliance chars

It would be stupid if Khadgar is dead. I mean this would have been something for a Raidstory or some End of Expansion thingy. Not right at the start. I think they kidnapped him.

Also Xal'atath and Azshara are probably rivals. I just can't see those two getting along.

Ah Khadgar as much as I wish he isn't Dead like the others this is really a Tale of 2 possibilities. 1 Khadgar is Dead or He was Removed from play until the ether Midnight or Last Titan Max hard to say it can go ether way what became of Khadgar but with his death then yes access to Karazhan would be lost to both the Void and Azeroth as a whole. If He's alive I wouldn't be Half Surprised Khadgar he Ported away to Karazhan to Dig Deeper to what going on.

Maybe we rescue him in the first raid.

Isn't Karazhan build on top of a ley line or that was retconned during legion ? And also isn't Archmage Antonidas or maybe Aegwynn more powerfull than Khadgar ?

Antonidus is dead and we haven't heard of aegwynn for a long time. Shes basically a non character at this point.

@@thehermit8723 true but when she did she had the powers of the guardian. As for death, its up in the air for me. It happened in a comic book to which blizz doesn't even fully want to acknowledge anymore. The whole medan deal was a fiasco. I think its schrodingers Aegwynn and blizz will bring her back if they ever need to.

@@massey81 altho they messed up death in SL, prior to that it was established that guardians of tirisfal and other super powerful mages are weird, they seem to figure out how to use magic to continue to exist as a free soul, Blue dragons do it too. But Khadgar rejected being the guardian, so it would be hard to say if he'd enjoy the same benefits.

I think Khadgar is kidnapped by Nerubians acting on behalf of Xal'atath. For.. reasons. Edit to add; I also think the Nerubians and/or Xal'atath moved Dalaran.

Khadgar played DF for 3 weeks levelled his character and thought “Eff this Disney dragon shit, I’m out!” Went to classic and has recently been playing Helldivers. 👍🏻

I'm still waiting for Malfurion, the FIRST MOST POWERFUL Druid, chosen by Cenarius himself to actually have a leading story in World of Warcaft. I can only guess that he's a powerful MALE character is why he has not had one.
