What Happened To Every Miami Dolphins Quarterback After Dan Marino Retired?

Спорт

Once upon a time, Dan Marino led the Miami Dolphins into battle and became an NFL legend. However, when he retired in 2000, Miami was forced to find a new quarterback which is easier said than done. This resulted in a downward spiral for almost 20 years resulting in the Dolphis burning through quarterback after quarterback all resulting in near-zero success. So sit back and watch as we go over every failed Miami Dolphins quarterback that came after Dan Marino, and why none of them could get the job done. Anyway, if you enjoyed this video at all then like and comment if you want, and you can even subscribe if you think I've earned it.
The setting was perfect. Mikerphone approached Barry thatsgoodsports from behind while flower petals fell from his luxurious mane. The tension was growing, and urinatingtree needed Tom Grossi to find the cursed item to set in motion what happened to the type of content from flowing free. This led to the NFL documentary that you see today, yes Tua Tagovailoa found the NFL news and how Football Analysis did this still baffles me.

    @@carloscaruncho461i rewatched some videos of old Dolphins games with Marino and it’s so obvious those guys aren’t even close to elite receivers. They wouldn’t even make the team these days imo. Not athletic as todays guys, less YAC and way more dropped balls. Marino had an insanely fast release, accuracy and speed on his throws, transforming the position. It’s much more like they had Marino throwing to them then he had them. But I digress

    @@MeauxGreenMusicyou’re joking, right? I’m not gonna say they were some super elite guys as far as all time talent goes. But for their days they were starters on any team. They benefitted more from Marino than Marino did from them but that’s more a testament to how good Marino was, most any guys back then would benefit more from Marino than vise versa. And look at what happened to the team after they left. The 90s were muddled in mostly mediocrity for the Phins. The problem was never that the dolphins didn’t get Marino an elite running back. Why people always say this I’ll never know. The offense was more than SB quality. It was Shula pushing the passing to the forefront that virtually changed the way teams played altogether. It was their defenses. They couldn’t pay everyone. And those defenses took a hit due to the talent on the offense between Marino, the OL, and the marks brothers.

    A big reason why none of the starting QB’s for the past 20 have been average or bad was cause they never focused on the Oline for years. Tannehill was one of the most sacked QB in the 2010’s Now with them putting some effort into building a line the QB has been way better. Shocker! Edit One of the worst decisions the dolphins made in the last decade was when they traded up to 3 with the raider and took DE Dion Jordan who was horrible the guy picked next you might ask? OT Lane Johnson…

    What an odd choice by Miami to pick Ronnie Brown at #2 in 2005 when they really needed a QB. You’d imagine they’d pick Alex or Aaron considering you can grab a solid back in later rounds fairly often but grabbing a franchise QB is so hard to do. Then they backed it up by passing on Brees when supposedly it was so close to being a done deal. Sometimes the team can be their own worst enemy.

It made such a difference that Belichick awarded him the game ball. At any rate, I’ve been binge watching your channel, and really enjoying everything I’ve seen. Bravo.

    The joke by the time Chad Pennington joined went like this: Forget trying to find the successor to Marino. The Dolphins were still trying to find an adequate replacement for Fiedler. Oh, by the way, it's Damon "Hew-urd", rhyming with Dew. And "smothered" has an "uh" sound. I'm nitpicky tonight! And I'm glad you had the disclaimer about Matt Moore. He wasn't never mean to be an NFL starter, but he was one of the most reliable backups for awhile. Kansas City would attest to this.

    It’s crazy to think how much the NFL has changed,, you got the Miami Dolphins giving away first round picks for RB Ricky Williams.. Nowadays, teams don’t even want to pay a running back a proper salary…

  • @hgbugalou
    @hgbugalou8 ай бұрын

    No discretion needed, I lived it. Part of the problem with the QB is we also could not find a head coach post Shula and by the time we got a QB that looked promising, the HC would change and a rebuild started yet again. I really think Tua and McDaniel will have this team setup for success for a while though now (FINALLY). Also screw Jimmy Johnson for what he did to Marino, then quitting. The defense was was primed to go superbowl in the next couple years and Dan still had another year or two in him to make the run. Johnson wanted Marino gone though, so he didn't support him at all and set him up to fail. Screw Nick Saban as well while we are at it too. He may have been right in Brees, but he still stood at the podium and told the fans he was not leaving Miami, then left a week later. That's scumbag behavior. If you are entertaining an offer, say so, or at least leave some room for maneuver with your words, but don't lie flat out. But then again, maybe it was just fate... Tua coming to the Phins and winning coming from Saban's Alabama is an interesting twist.

    As a lifelong Phins fan. I truly feel like 2023 is our year. Our offense is the most consistent and explosive in the league. Aside from when we play winning record teams.

My only suggestion is to work on pronunciation of last names Huard (Hu-word) Ogunleye ( O- goon-lee-a) and Travis Minor is Minor not Homer .... if these are jokes I apologize I will get them the more I watch.... regardless Great history recap

    This was extremely painful yet needed. I still have trauma from the Fielder and Wanstead days. Jimmy Johnson built that god tier defense and they put a scrub from Dartmouth to throw the ball. Blows my mind. Then add Ricky who of course we all loved and then all they can do is run it 50 times a game. So one dimensional compared to todays offense. Then of course missing out on, Rivers, Brees, Rodgers etc. What a hellscape this ride has been. All you can do now is laugh.
