A few comments: The biggest difference between Lock & Lynch is that Lock actually made the Seahawks roster (Lynch failed up there to make the team). Lock should probably take stock of his situation and realized there's good money being a lifelong backup. He'll leave the NFL with millions if he examines the careers of Chase Daniel or Matt Flynn. Trevor Siemian is that guy you want as a backup to come off the bench and hold down the fort for 3 weeks. Always respected him. He was a 7th rounder for a reason, of course I imagine Wilson will have a better 2023 season, but it's entirely possible he's far beyond his prime as an athlete. Seattle is going to reap many rewards from that trade. I forgot that Case Keenum played the whole season. That was one of the most forgettable teams in NFL history. And finally, Kendall Hinton is the reason why I never say a backup QB shouldn't be on a NFL field. Hinton, bless his heart, proved you have to be incredibly good at QB even to be a third stringer. It just so happens the NFL is so difficult that maybe 15 guys on the planet are actually great at playing the position.

6:33 it should be noted that Gary Kubiak DID NOT want Paxton Lynch. He pounded the table and pleaded with Elway to draft Dak Prescott and knew he would be available. Jerry Jones was ENAMORED with Lynch and was reportedly furious when the Broncos moved up to get him ahead of Dallas.

Agreed. I think Lock could have faired far, far better if the Broncos has stayed with Scangarello and an offense that suited him. Bridgewater was a joke with zero arm strength and no ability to spread the field.

As a non-Broncos fan living in Denver during this entire period, I can say that it has been a fantastic comedy shiw that I look forward to every year.

If John Elway worked as hard on finding a good QB as he did finding a good plastic surgeon, he would've had a future HOFer by now.

Another point about 2017: Rookie Kyle Sloter played well in pre-season, and he looked like he was going to be the backup heading into the season. However, Elway foolishly cut him for Osweiler (Sloter was popular with fans, and maybe he had a Tebow flashback). Also, the next year, they did look at Josh Allen, and from what I heard, Elway got scared because of what happened with Paxton Lynch. They decided to take Chubb, who they didn't even really look at before the draft.

Thank you for bringing attention to the fact that Kap was indeed offered a chance back into the NFL and refused it.

Tebow has won more or just as many playoff games as Tony Romo, Andy Dalton, James Winston, Dak Prescott, Marcus Mariota, Carson Wentz, Derek Carr, RG3, Tyrod Taylor, Teddy Bridgewater, Geno Smith (as you can see most of these QBs get more opportunities because they're black)

I think Josh Allen might have failed in Denver before they gave him and the offense any real margin for error. Denver's problem, from my take them or leave them perspective, is an unwillingness to commit to one QB and let him develop in a stable, dedicated system. Not changing OCs and QB coaches every year also would probably be a step in the right direction.

Watching this as a bronco’s fan reassured me that I made the correct decision to go out with Peyton. He retired from playing football, I retired from watching football.

No one remembers how brutal that stretch of time was for Denver after they won the Super Bowl with Manning, and no one will remember the current stretch if Wilson miraculously wins another Super Bowl for Denver. But I expect they'll need at least one more QB before we see that.

Good point though with Plummer we at least made the playoffs yes we got blown out by Manning and the Colts two years in a row and the Steelers in the AFC Championship game in Jake’s 3rd year as a starter but we went 13-3 that year with him looked like a contender we handed Tom Brady his first post season loss in the Divisional round. So we did have some success with Plummer no QB has come close to what we got from Jake Plummer in the post Peyton Manning era.

As a Seattle fan, I'm still laughing at the outcome of the Russel Wilson trade. Especially after Week 4 this year.
