How To Ruin An NFL Star: The Tragic Downfall Of Robert Griffin lll

Спорт

Robert Griffin 3's NFL career was without a doubt one of the most interesting in NFL history. For a brief moment, RG3 looked like a future NFL superstar, primed to lead Washington back into relevance, but just as soon as he burst onto the scene, he disappeared. So join me as we look at Robert Griffin 3's NFL career, and go through all the injuries, the losses, and the mistakes that led to the destruction of a special NFL player. Anyway, if you enjoyed this video at all then like and comment if you want, and you can even subscribe if you think I've earned it.
With Mike Shanahan and Dan Snyder contributing to Robert Griffin 3's early exit from the Washington Commanders, we can hopefully see thatsgoodsports and Mikerphone find a way to perform the forbidden ritual of life. There was a push to stop them, but football analysis coming from urinatingtree and j&d productions eventually became too much to bear, and the previously immortal Barry Mccockiner fell.

I dont think washington over-relied on him, rather the pressure from dan snyder basically forced them to grant RGIII’s wish, which was to play despite being clearly injured and unfit to play. Washington still had Kirk Cousins, which was an excellent QB at that time as well. They could have definitely used him instead, but sadly the pressure from dan and the fact that RGIII didn’t know when to stop and how to look after himself led to the downfall he had.

I think personally that by working with Lamar for 3 years, that gave RG3 a new love and respect for the game. Look at his smile on the sideline of the ravens games compared to his time in Cleveland. With Lamar he was able to give his insane knowledge of the game to someone with a very similar skill set as himself, and prevent Lamar from making the same mistakes Robert did. I truly think that is what kept him around until 2020, bc otherwise I could see him retiring at end of 2018 if Flacco was left as the Ravens starter.

Idk how much RG3 played a role but the more time him and Lamar spent on the same team the more Lamar would slide and run out of bounds instead of risking injuries to get a few extra yards. I've got to be honest. This video really opened my eyes. When I first saw Rob's career end, I figured it was just Washington being Washington. Any team owned by Dan Snyder is not a team I trust but after seeing this video we can blame the front office all we want but at the end of the day RGIII is the one who chose to play even when his own medical staff advised against it.

For years ive always thought that the Washington Organization was soley responsible for RG3's career. But after seeing this video, it seems like the one who had the biggest influence on his downfall was Rob himself. Dan Snyder is naturally gonna get a lot of blame from people and its warranted he did a lot of wrong things here too. But ultimately Rob nade the choice to get back on the field when he wasnt ready, and refused to listen to those around him besides Snyder. Its sad but, its what happened.

Couldn't agree more. Snyder and Shanahan deserve alot of blame for what happened to RG3. But RG3 especially had a key role in his downfall as well. I always felt that he should have played to his strengths and just allow the coaches to teach him. He got a little too big headed for his own good, and it ultimately cost him his playing career.

I feel like, yes, RG3 was responsible for what his aptitude and attitude, but no one player is in charge of a team. It's always on the owners, coaches, and TPTB. Well, unless you're TB12, but of course, we know his story. There was too much gunk in the engine from the start. The organization is always responsible for on-field failures because these men are paid good money and have all kinds of technology and analytics to perfect these players or pass on them, especially if they're the faces of the franchise. Instead, egos and pettiness were allowed to take over where training and hard work failed. But what do I know, I'm not a millionaire coach nor a billionaire [ex] owner, lol.

Que the infighting with coaches. Reports of rg3 getting favorable treatment due to dan synder, local sports media being leaked info. It was a dumpster fire. RG3 seems like a good kid. Suh should have won the Heisman. RG3 should be able to play if ge says he can go. He had a weak arm. He was always too small to be a nfl qb who depended on his legs. RG3 ended up just as I expected he would... actually with more success.

Another great video, TubFrog. RG3 is such an interesting player and story to look back on. There’s another world where he doesn’t get drafted to the dysfunctional Redskins, he learns how to avoid hits/slide, lets his body heal… He could’ve competed for multiple Super Bowls and a MVP candidate. Despite him not reaching his full potential, he is brought up whenever we see prospects just like him, cherished by fans all over the sport. He gave something to the game we love and he won’t ever lose that. Please give Tom on the wall a kiss for us.

Right around the 10 minute mark, the fact that RG3 had a concussion and the Redskins organization not only attempted to hide it, but in the process were also caught by the league and fined basically sums up in a nutshell what that atrocious organization did to a phenomenal athlete, and very good QB.

The worst part for me is thinking about to great opportunity that Jeff Fisher and Les Snead had to change the Rams future and they squandered it. I about threw up when they took Tavon Austin instead of DeAndre Hopkins, Greg Robinson over all the receivers in 2014, Brian Quick, ect. The defensive players picked were great, but there were so many better options on offense i couldn't believe they blew that.

They did that to most teams.

This was the first season I ever watched football, my dad being a life long skins fan started watching again after decades of losing and got me into it. I remember if they beat the Seahawks they would come to Atlanta where we live to play the falcons and we were going to get tickets. It’s been 11 years now and we’ve still never had this much hope for the team. Hopefully with Snyder gone now the future will be brighter.

He empowered rg3 and his dad to make unrealistic demands instead of letting mike run the show as coach. I am a 52 year old fan going way back to the Joe Gibbs era. Mind you we were seated in the upper deck of FedEx Field and we noticed that. He had no right being in the game at that stage being that injured.

People have to remember Mike never wanted to draft RG3 but Snyder was under so much pressure that ticket sales was low so he needed to butts in the seats remember we took cousins in the same draft who ended up the starter but of course in typical Washington fashion we messed that all the hell up RG3 should’ve never been in that Seattle game Bruce Allen and Snyder pushed for him to be on the field which damaged him more I wish he would’ve sued Snyder and the medical staff for clearing him to play 2012 was special lightning in a bottle but was also devastating

I was a diehard Redskins fan and I witnessed it myself when RGIII ran away from the medical staff behind the bench and then put himself back in the game behind Shannahan’s back on the next play. Only RGIII and the annoying owner Dan Snyder are to blame for what happened to him. It wasn’t Shannahan’s fault, and RGIII and Snyder gave him nothing but grief and headaches the whole time. It’s a shame, because that first season was spectacular and he could have been an all time great if it didn’t go down like it did.
