Great video. I would like to add one thing, which went through my head: I think the aesthetic of the 'X' also plays a role. It's not only cool and futuristic. The form of the 'X' is brutal, barbed, body-invasive, a maximally reduced violent motif. There was a viral video on twitter/X of one of his followers in which the twitter-bird is impaled and shred to pieces by the X. I don't think that's a coincidence. Albeit that certaintly, this didn't play a conscious role in his namegiving of the brands.

Elon really do be grasping as straws to try and regain the notoriety/public love he had back in 2016 as our "Real life Iron Man/Tony Stark" 2.It's Amazing getting to see more of your content. and lastly, but most importantly: 3.While I do love seeing your content, I hope everything is ok with you (aside from covid, sorry you gotta deal with that weapon's grade cringe a couple months after the U.S. government pretty much has been rolling back all of it's federal aids for covid sufferers) because we went from 1 video 6 months ago to 3 videos in less than 3 weeks. Idk what's going on with your mental, but I know I speak for everyone here when I say I hope you're doing ok, and if you're not ok, I hope you're making your way through it. Thanks for the kind words, despite COVID I’m actually doing great! :) I for sure can’t guarantee this kind of prolificness all the time, but for now I’m in a really good spot letting myself enjoy writing and editing. I also got a computer that doesn’t crash when I look at it funny, so making vids is a lot less stressful and more efficient. Only good things 💕

“Corporate murder” is the only way I can describe what’s happening to Twitter at this point. The only reason I’m still on it it’s because of the friends I’ve made in a specific hobby, and I just can’t bring myself to delete the acc. Guess when WeX officially launched and Elon tries to get me to enter my SSN to send “an X” I’ll finally leave lol. Side note, I’m glad to see you’re uploading more again! Your Amazon Echos, your barely functioning video game, all with "road maps" of what a product _will_ be, and not what it _is,_ is what's trying to be normalized. Great video. I would like to add one thing, which went through my head: I think the aesthetic of the 'X' also plays a role. It's not only cool and futuristic. The form of the 'X' is brutal, barbed, body-invasive, a maximally reduced violent motif. There was a viral video on twitter/X of one of his followers in which the twitter-bird is impaled and shred to pieces by the X. I don't think that's a coincidence. Albeit that certaintly, this didn't play a conscious role in his namegiving of the brands.

X - the app for everything has been an intended project of Musk for decades. What's left of twitter is going to be built up into something completely unrecognisable.

After seeing this I have 3 takeaways: 1. Elon really do be grasping as straws to try and regain the notoriety/public love he had back in 2016 as our "Real life Iron Man/Tony Stark" 2.It's Amazing getting to see more of your content. and lastly, but most importantly: 3.While I do love seeing your content, I hope everything is ok with you (aside from covid, sorry you gotta deal with that weapon's grade cringe a couple months after the U.S. government pretty much has been rolling back all of it's federal aids for covid sufferers) because we went from 1 video 6 months ago to 3 videos in less than 3 weeks. Idk what's going on with your mental, but I know I speak for everyone here when I say I hope you're doing ok, and if you're not ok, I hope you're making your way through it. We all really appreciate your insight and intelligence on the topics you choose to cover, and hope that whatever brought it about is either a general desire to add more tidbits of your perspective (which are always appreciated) or part of your process for pulling yourself out of whatever mire aspires to tire and ire your mind. Thanks for the kind words, despite COVID I’m actually doing great! :) I for sure can’t guarantee this kind of prolificness all the time, but for now I’m in a really good spot letting myself enjoy writing and editing. I also got a computer that doesn’t crash when I look at it funny, so making vids is a lot less stressful and more efficient. Only good things 💕

“Corporate murder” is the only way I can describe what’s happening to Twitter at this point. The only reason I’m still on it it’s because of the friends I’ve made in a specific hobby, and I just can’t bring myself to delete the acc. Guess when WeX officially launched and Elon tries to get me to enter my SSN to send “an X” I’ll finally leave lol. Side note, I’m glad to see you’re uploading more again! Your videos and analyses always give me such joy. I hope it’s not actually Covid and you’re doing better now lol.

i've been forced to study elon musk for years with irritating tesla wanna be engineers, IT guys and MD's thinking hanging cables are a good idea... the main takeaway is that musk succeeds where other people have already succeeded, but with lots of overpromising, energy and hype, not intelligence as so many think

Not going to lie, the fact that you have Covid while filming this is so appropriate. The fact that you can belt out a hearty cough to express disdain towards the Muskrat is pure filming gold. It just punctuates your point so well. And really, the disdain is warranted. The Muskrat's a typical Pretoria boy. A massively over-inflated ego, but without the balls to actually work hard to achieve anything. Anyway, hoping that your recovery is going well. I saw a documentary about this called Glass Onion. It was pretty good.
To me 10 years ago facebook felt like a fortress that you would use to keep track of & manage friendships. Now things feel more liquid, and having friends is more similar to pre fb times. Every year i use social media less, not more. Right now I wouldn't be more than mildly bothered if all my sm accounts were wiped out.
I really wonder if he's also trying to will X into being his version of the Jeremy Renner app

We're seeing this idea of "minimum viable product" being bandied about more and more. Your Amazon Echos, your barely functioning video game, all with "road maps" of what a product _will_ be, and not what it _is,_ is what's trying to be normalized. Hell, look what they tried to do with NFTs. That was the purest form of this concept and it came from that kind of thinking. The thinking that you can get away with making less and less of a physical product by promising more and more...someday. Christ, the laughter and guffaws that must be occurring even more than usual in corporate board rooms these days. 🤦♂️

Having had Covid and that f'ing cough I'd like to say thank you for the 4 or 5 hours I'm guessing it took to make this vid . Also , Elonski is what happens when a bad Walmart manager gets born in an emerald mine and has zero problem taking the money and credit for other peoples hard work .

i have heard his voice a ton because a few years ago i did a school assignment on tesla and listened to interviews with him but SOMEHOW i always forget he sounds like that. always. it's like being snapped in the face every time he opens his mouth. it's not like obama who speaks so iconically you can imitate him, he just speaks like an insecure person? or like he's confused.

But for my money, The X from Outer Space, The Man from Planet X, X-15, X: The Man With the X-Ray Eyes, Rocketship X-M, and, yes, even the Star Trek episode, Charlie X, are all way too cool for that infamous dork who just wishes he could be part of anyone's fascist inner circle.
You just helped me realize that Elon is the Quentin Tarantino of fake tech geniuses. Entirely derivative work, radiates cringe rays that can fell a child or a sick goat, doesn't know how to talk to women or people who are black, runaway ego, fans that are willing to forgive a complete lack of inspiration or insight and a general level of creepiness. It is great an dandy but the US like to separate everything to capitalize.

What a well thought deconstruction of why X is terrible. A concise criticism of every part of Elon's vision from the logo to the consumer service. This is the sort of commentary channel we need.
