What Does An Agnostic Atheist Call "God"?

Since deconstructing conservative christianity, my beliefs/non-beliefs have definitely change, and they are continuing to evolve into ways I didn't expect. This vlog covers a big of my current way of thinking and there is more to come!

Hey bro, good stuff!! Man it’s hard to restructure for sure after getting out . I feel like I spend a lot of time putting words to things in restructuring. The greatest thing I realized was no one understands, no one gets it which is greatest humility ever and it’s dumb to argue because noone will agree…it makes grace make sense. It’s the only tangible I can find, the universe made sense to me too, I always use word great spirit in me, helped me to start trusting myself. I see great spirit in me as intuition related specific to me and to specific circumstances it’s always nice voice, and it teaches me what’s happening in me, or a specific circumstance, like hey lie if someone asks if their shirt is pretty because honesty is good, but it is a subjective value that can seek to fill itself at the expense of someone’s pain and that isn’t love. This may help you too, things are circumstantial, what may be the truth in one circumstance, most certainly isn’t the truth for all other circumstances.

I will also say we have been so brain washed, I notice fear emotion when changing a name, which absolutely now 1000% lets me know leaving religion was correct. I will never worship or follow anything or anyone who uses fear, that’s tyranny and oppression. Not love

Great video, Interesting to hear your thoughts on this topic. The word God really does come with a lot of assumptions about one's beliefs a lot of the time. Looking forward to more videos, hope you're doing well.

I often use the word universe myself. I struggle to find a word that encompasses how i feel and to give that entity justice. With everything that we know to be scientifically true today, given the vastness of space and the millions of galaxies out there. If you believe in a God, then you need a God that is at least as big as all of that. God, in our western theological ideas of Him, that word to me just isn’t enough. I love native american culture and will sometimes use their words of “great spirit.” It’s hard to define a non human being with human words.

Well you could also use "creator". Or the ultimate creator. Our minds cannot grasp what is beyond us. But at least we do our best to study what we can. I'm agnostic.

It is already known because it happened. In the Arabs and Europe we had messengers who had the same story and said the same thing. And they are both known. The fact that they took place in different places makes it even more believable

How about allah? But allah is arabic word. Which means more or less: the Only One True Creator of all universes worthy to be followed/worshiped without any partner. There is no one word translation in english or even in many languages, thats why muslims rather refer "Him" as allah (i also mention "Him" because of the language thing. But The Creator has no gender). As you can notice, the universe as we know it has begun. Therefore it needs a cause. It has condition(s) obviously. Tho, allah is also having the other 99 names/traits/attributes in the quran. Two of em re "ar-rahman ar-rahim". Most translation would translate those as "Most Gracious Most Merciful'". But ar-rahman could be meaning unconditional grace/mercy. Like, no matter how evil you re in this world, even not following Him, The Creator still gives you a chance to breathe. Its only because of His unconditional grace. The concept of The Creator in islam is mentioned in the chapter 112, a very short chapter. 1) Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, 2) Allah, the Eternal Refuge. 3) He neither begets nor is born, 4) Nor is there to Him any equivalent." Specially verse number 4, it means nothing is comparable unto Him. Allah is beyond our imagination. Like, something we can imagine is just not the image of The Creator. In the end, i really really suggest you to read the whole quran and look into islam. Peace be upon you :)

Welcome back! I don't know how an agnostic atheist should call god, but I know how a gnostic atheist calls god: a giant load of BS :p That said... I do hold the Universe in high regards... but it's nothing divine to me. It's not sentient, not aware and not intelligent. It's completely indifferent. It destroys as much as it creates. And it's bound to its own laws of physics. I could say alot more about it, but I'm short on time right now.
