Is It More Useful To Believe Or Not Believe In God?

I think before we can even talk about basically everything Ive already talked about on this channel (lol), we have to address THIS!!

Bro whatever you do, keep making these videos. They’re honestly so eye opening and helpful for a lot of us going on a similar journey of searching for truth and making sense of this life. The way you explain your views and ideas is so helpful and brings peace to a lot of us who are conflicted in what to believe. Can’t wait for this channel to blow!!!

Believe in a "God"? Nah but i do believe in a Creator! I do not believe in things that need worship and praise.

I actually talked about the rationality of belief with a friend when we were studying for a sociology exam. We came to a pretty interesting conclusion. Normally, you'd say that if you are rationally thinking about religion and atheism, you'd tend to claim that the atheist thought and belief in science and logic would be the more rational choice and belief when it comes to general life and lifestyle as you'd think that it is irrational to believe in something that is not proven to exist. However on a positivist basis (where you'd say that something like God exists as long as it's proven to not exist), you'd realize that it's more rational to believe than not to believe. Especially when you think about life after death. If you are an atheist, you'd say that there is nothing waiting for you after you die. If you are religious, there is something to expect when you die. Comparing both sides, you'd realize that it's actually (on a basis of rational choice [e.g. Webers rational type of action motivation ]) more irrational to not be theist than to be theist. Pretty amazing to me.

Listen man, and I won’t burden you with a plethora of comments after this: You’ve got the gift of communication and the ability to express yourself well. You are hitting on this topic differently and uniquely - more than most for sure. You’re giving others the ability and permission to grapple with their own cognitive dissonance that is a torment to most everyone who’s honest with themselves. So keep going!! It’s not in vain. 😌💪🏽👍🏼 🏆

Whatever benefits you may get from a faith and attachment to a religion - is more than negated by the experience of living a life of delusion. A false life. Many who come to Christianity pull themselves up because they find a new supportive community and pretend they have a friend in Jesus and regularly recite and accept creeds which have no basis in reality. But hey - if you need to live a life of delusions to survive it - that's fine with me.
