Today I will be looking into the term "TERF" (Transgender-Exclusionary Radical Feminists) and how it pertains to the erasure of womanhood. I also discuss how those who do not wish to date transgender individuals are being labeled "TERFs". I further discuss Dylan Mulvaney’s invitation to the Forbes Power Women’s Summit and its ramifications.

    the amount of times I've been called a terf for just being a woman is hilarious. if being a terf is just caring about basic women's rights, like gendered bathrooms, having preferences or believing in simple biology, then yes I am a proud terf.

    It's kind of like purposefully driving past the nude beach to show up at the family beach, strip down to your birthday suit, waggle your junk in front of the kids and then calling the offended people bigoted and hateful for not supporting your actions. I don't care about personal preferences and will go out of my way to make people comfortable as long as it's not hurting myself or anyone else, it's just too bad that the bio. Men going into women's locker rooms don't seem to have the same compassion/empathy...

    You're absolutely right about cancel culture going after women - the whole menstruating person, birthing parent. It's quite insulting to women who have fought for women's rights. It's not that long ago that women couldn't vote, couldn't own their own property, & had to resign from teaching & nursing if they got married. Can you imagine how ridiculous this must seem to women in countries where they still have no rights??

  • @bunille

    @bunille

    It's absolutely blashpemous and SO contradictory... but woke people are hypocrites in everything they do and say if you look close enough. Suffragettes worked SO hard to do the opposite of this and prevent this from happening. Sexist stereotypes and roles were not an okay thing, but it turns out we're trying to erase that pretty quickly... now the suffragette who wore pants, went to war and worked hard labour is seen as a trans man in today's word. We're just repromoting the sexist stereotypes all over again. You can't FEEL like a woman. NOBODY feels like a man or a woman and such phrase is used for the sexist phrases, e.g. to "man up", basically to follow the stereotypes of toughening up and not feeling upset. Or to basically wear incredibly high heels, wear dresses, have lots of makeup on, and huge sexual body parts. That's all a woman is in the eyes of a man who takes their sexual interests so far that they want to become sexually interested in themselves... yeah you're not supposed to be chief. Not being a vain narcissist isn't a bad thing.

    Its not just physical appearance, its psychological and emotional. No woman will ever be able to experience what its like to live as a man and the opposite holds true as well. That’s why biological essentialism is a fact because who we are physically can’t be disconnected from our lived experience as the sex we’re born as. How we live, feel and act is particular to us as a man or a woman. People can relate to your ideas, feelings and values but they can never grasp what it means to you to be a man or a woman. Its simply impossible to cross that divide.

They argue that they’re just as much of a woman as I am and I have lost several friends for standing up to myself and the rest of the women for not abiding by this absurd ideology. It’s concerning how people still turn a blind eye to the truth. I am not comfortable sharing my spaces with men and it scares me how predatory these trans women are in nature. I don’t understand why they think it’s important for them to siege each and every space made for WOMEN and then act like they care about women’s rights.

I feel so incredibly betrayed by the women backing the extremes of this issue. I always thought it was the catholicism that had the most profound effect on demolishing the sacred feminine but joke’s on me! Turned out it was the left, the people I used to think were my allies. Now I’m on an island of one, because we’re not supposed to speak on this unless we want to get trashed. My absolutely closest friends in private sure, but publicly I’m supposed to stifle myself. @@discussingwithyouisfutile1703 Actually in my opinion: Jordan Peterson has his strengths. Just because he is not right on every point, doesnt mean, he isnt right on a lot of points of his field. For instance, he said a lot about climate change , or religion , espescially on islam, which in my opinion is wrong ... but those topics are not his field. On psychology , which definetely IS his field, i didnt find anything i would call ''wrong'' ... Sure he have opinions about topics which could be interpreted differently , but that doesnt makes it plain wrong, i would say. In his field he is quiet competent, i would say - even though he mades a lot of statements which are uncomfortable for a lot of people. But truth is almost every single time : not comforting. And then there are two types of people: one who are strong enough to handle uncomfortable truths and try to seek ways how to deal with it. And people who are not able to deal with truth.

Most trans women are aware of the fact men probably want the option of kids etc and might not like penis. We aren't the same as the mainstream narrative of trans or specific trans youtubers used for clips. I like men. I wouldn't be with most trans men. Personally I'm good with one im attracted to tho. Just left northern California. I was working alongside a couple where one was a lesbian asking to be referenced with "they/them" pronouns and her partner was a transwoman....and anyone misgendering or "assuming" her partner was a dude on hormones were immediately classified as "ignorant bigots". Both were completely babied and granted special treatment by the company. The employers even included a "how to respond and behave around people of the trans community" in the company's official employee handbook. I found it telling when I shared a bit of information about my boyfriend, and Miss They/Them stated my boyfriend is a white male, so he likely gets everything handed to him. When I noted my boyfriend is a quarter Hispanic (his mother is half Mexican and he has half siblings that are three-quarter Mexican), she ceased presenting her exceptionally racist assumptions. This is literally madness being pushed as sane, healthy "misunderstood" lifestyle choices. The concept of "living ones truth" is about as warped as our species can get, yet we're supposed to celebrate it and be silenced when presenting even the most elementary concepts of biological fact.

    Narcissists. Nobody else is untouchable and that you have to bend over backwards and shut down your own truthful beliefs for the sake of the person's power. This is history repeating itself, and of course history will continue to, because the ones that ALWAYS make sure they're in charge are the ones who have a huge hunger for their power obsession and a control complex: they're the people who would defame or kill whoever is in charge out of jealousy. Mind you, it's not the government or royalty's decision of who pumps 100 drag shows on the richest TV channels, keyword "richest" because celebrities are rewarded with lots of money for basically acting like a cult member and just behaving like a robot with the black and white thinking they need to pump out to pretend to be the good person (nvm that you can get over a million for just saying you need trans surgery... and someone with cancer doesn't get anywhere near as much help, jeez as if they were similar to begin with with one being a death sentence and the other being a vanity mutilation, yuck). But their facial expressions and their two-faced scapegoating speaks a thousand words about who's the genuine and truly kind people. Off the tangent: people who want power nowadays, because they can get away with it, are more likely to be people who do not run anything at all. We live in a time where you can basically run the country whilst shouting on social media what everyone should and shouldn't do. No need to become a PM and have all of that responsibility and abuse on your shoulders from the entire country: you can control the entire white first-world just by complaining on TikTok. And true abusers really hate responsibility. And with someone actually in power, such as a CEO, they will get bullied and abused by people - but these people will NEVER get such treatment because you'll be thrown into the fire and treated like the villain before you know it. That'll shut you up. Listen to them them them. Nevermind that nowadays lots of people have been promoted and award for their bad behaviour so much that they know how to manipulate. And what better way to do that than to label yourself as a victim in as many ways as you possibly can. Black, trans, disabled (99% of the time people who say this are not actually disabled... disabled people don't monopolise off of being disabled), queer, female, poor (as to which they're actually upper middle class and have expensive makeup, hair, clothes, room, car/house/location but spend it all), etc. If you have to walk on eggshells to even say anything about a person, they're, at best, narcissistic. Sure someone can be toxic (with proof), but ask yourself why certain people we/they demonise so much are giving us/them the freedom to be such assholes to them? Then ask yourself why these people cannot even be given empathy of "you need to love your natural body, imperfections and all" and you get mob attacked as a result and forcibly removed permanently from that space or talking to them ever again. Nobody apart from narcissists do this... I'm just saying.

Obviously by the 90’s and early 2000’s, American society was (or appeared to be) transitioning out of those notions, that women especially had to justify not being interested in a dude who showed interest in us. We finally made headway into “you’re attracted to whom you are attracted to, and you’re not attracted to whom you are not, and it needs no justification”; and here we are, 20 years later, right back to “you need to justify not being attracted to someone”. However, gender ideology has permeated certain segments of English speaking Malaysians. My friends who are experienced high school debaters are all gender ideologues and believe that they/them pronouns are justified. Besides, my tuition teacher told us, "today I learned a new word, non binary". He said it so casually, which shows that gender ideology can easily brainwash certain Malaysians who don't really question stuff and just accept things as they hear it. It's a matter of time before gender ideology permeates English and Chinese speaking circles in Malaysia. And I'm afraid that the pushback will come from religious extremists, who don't really sit well with English and Chinese speaking circles, which causes logical opposition to this ideology go unheard. There used to be a shared understanding around the idea that you don’t enter opposite sex spaces until you pass well enough to not raise eyebrows, not only for the comfort of the vast majority of people in these spaces but for your own safety. I’m not sure when we lost this & it can be hurtful to have to acknowledge it might take you a long time to reach that point safety but entering a space that wasn’t always yours need to be factored in. The last day I went anywhere near a women’s restroom was the day a little girl ran for her mother after being frozen staring at me for a few minutes. Confusing kids wasn’t worth doing what was biologically right. I’ve been saying this since I started hearing this kind of talk being pushed years ago. Trans people will get hurt over this. Trans people traveling through states stopping at rest stops where the culture is vastly different from their home community will be hurt. Trans people that don’t inform every member of their medical team of their biological status will be hurt. Biology matters, honesty matters, safety matters. They need to be balanced to come to a reasonable place that most of society can at least try to understand. By far the most reasonable version I’ve heard: sometimes for reasons we don’t understand a small amount of the population has a misalignment with what their brain feels & what their body does. For an even smaller subset of that population decades of work with mental health professionals doesn’t make their life bearable where they can function as productive members of society. For those people only, hormones & surgical intervention might be the only thing that brings those symptoms to a bearable point where they can be productive & have lives like everyone else. This is a ridiculous overcorrection

Ever since I came out I’m doing my best to earn my new gender such as being diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria, taking estrogen and some surgeries. Honestly, at this point besides my chromosomes I can’t be differentiated by a biological woman. As for the dating, I couldn’t care less who anyone wants to date. As long as the person is kind and respectable to me, I’m okay with being rejected. Of course I will feel bad but just like everyone else would when they get rejected. It would be ridiculous to call them transphobic… I just don’t appreciate some comments being insensitive and completely disregarding us. Yes there are some trans people who are weirdos but not all of us are like that. I will always admit I am trans but that still makes me a girl just a different type I guess.

    Hi Princess, you sound like a rational person. And I don't want to offend you, but the word "girl" has a meaning (what you referred to as "biological woman"). I don't have any problem with you wanting to *appear* to be a girl, but please don't be angry when I resist calling you a girl. The problem is, that's just not true. And as you have witnessed, once people start tolerating any untruths, changing the meaning of well known words, there is no limit to what others will push for. I agree, people being insensitive or rude to you isn't proper either - you are free to pursue whatever lifestyle you want. Just don't presume that I will also become part of it. For I insist that I am also allowed my own lifestyle, which is based on fundamental biological truths. I respect your courage for posting, I'm sure you haven't had any easy time. I have no interest in what makes these strange people tick and im happy to let them wallow in their self centred ideology, getting what ever it is that they get from it. For my part I’m a real man who loves real women, if the strange ones wish to mix it with other strange ones that’s up to them but don’t expect me to accept it as normal to me be cause it isn’t! The same presumably as being real man and real woman isn’t normal to them! It’s good we all have choices in the free world. I liked ur point of view and how u debated all this thematic. I guess I would just say things are complex and it always creates a lack of respect before others when we are debating a social matter, because everytime we simplify a subject to go in the direction we want, theres information lost where so many others are included. And as so, I would ask why would someone fight to be and feel included while on another hand is ridiculizing stereotypes, like being a women that this individual affirms to be.

  • @ddolmaro
    @ddolmaro Жыл бұрын

    I'm a trans guy and I 100% agree that the stereotypes are harmful. As a community we've fought so hard to get rid of gender roles and stereotypes yet I see so many 'woke' people reinforcing the stereotypes. "I like this so I must be this", "I wear that so I must be that" and so on. Or they see a guy wear a skirt and assume he's gay or a trans woman- like, why would clothes dictate gender or sexuality?? Isn't that literally what we've been trying to disprove? Gender, sex and expression are three different things. My gender is male, my sex is and will always be female, and my gender expression is masculine. If I were to identify and feel like a woman, then dressing masculine would still not affect my gender in the slightest. The only reason I am a trans man is because I have gender dysphoria and such. I don't think it's a bad thing to acklowledge that I, as a trans man, have experienced a female childhood, and have suffered and still suffer from misogyny since I am not on hormones. It's also not bad to admit a trans woman hasn't lived the same experience or childhood as a cis woman... like, it's just common sense. Does that mean we should misgender and hurt trans people? Nah, respect goes both ways. Acknowledging sex doesn't erase gender, idk why that's such a controversial take. And also I do think preferences exists, you are NOT transphobic for not dating a trans person!!! Geez. Whoever tells you otherwise is stupid. It's your choice to do whatever tf you wanna do and date whoever tf you wanna date. Same goes with everything else. Don't like blondes? Don't date one. Doesn't mean you hate blonde people..? Shitty comparison but meh.

If someone told me, that I was not a man, I would laugh in their face and walk away. In sorry i just don't want to date or sleep with human beings with a penis. Anyway gonna stop rambling now. Keep fighting Misha you're an amazing young lady. Would like to hear more of your political views. Seems like politics are in your future. P.s. i have a daughter named Mischa.
