What are Isotopes?
This chemistry video tutorial answers the question - what are isotopes? Isotopes are substances that are composed of the same element but consist of different mass numbers and number of neutrons. They share the same atomic number and therefore the same number of protons. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems associated with isotopes and writing the atomic symbol for it.

Bless you!! I have been stuck on my chem homework for hours and came upon this video in desperation! I had no idea about anything you discussed before you explained it and I ended up getting all but one right on your quiz at the end. Thank you soooo much! I have a chance at passing my test! :) :)
Thanks! My textbook had me stumped, and frustrated, watched this video once and got it down! 👌👌👏👏👏

Dude he is doing it wrong. The atomic number is at the top instead of the bottom and the atomic mass number at the bottom instead of the the top. That is why I follow in class @The Organic Chemistry Tutor

Quim Bigorra it’s not wrong because it can be above or below, different periodic tables change the placement of it.

😪 You should have been there for me 20 years ago! Your clarity would have put my former teacher to shame and he had a doctorate in chemistry. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! I study in Cambodia and now I fully understand my teacher teaching me this whole month.
i see Angels through YOU .Thanks for your help.
man you are saving me in my online class... I learn best in in-person classes, but I have to work full-time and can't do in-person classes. Online classes are kicking my ass bc it's like I can't absorb anything. your videos are saving my grade AND me. thank you for making it to where I understand it, you're a lifesaver

I literally love you, you makes chemistry so easy for me to understand. Sometimes the professor over complicates things but god bless you. Keep uploading until I'm finished being a premed pls :(
Helpful video. The way you explain is SOOOOO good!
Discovered you last year browsing youtube for maths help. You are my go-to for maths/science. Thank you so much.
I love chemistry and this video has helped me alot...Very simple explaination which is easily understood..Thank you
Literally month before 8th grade- completely missed last semester- this should be the #1 emergency video. It works.
Like if you are watching this to study for a basic chemistry exam.
This channel is amazing. The best so far. Even looked at other videos thinking it could be too good to be true. But nope, you have everything I need. Amazing. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the explanation, really helped

Thank you so much. I understood so much in your video session than in my chemistry teacher's class. Your class is simple and explains complicated things in an easy manner which students can understand easily. Thank you so much.
You just earned yourself a new subscriber for breaking down Isotopes for me😊, thanks so much 😊
Thank you so much! From this 12 minute video i learnt everything I failed to learn in a whole year from my science teacher
Clear explanations like this explains why this channel is at 2 million
I‘m from Germany and I’m not sooo good in englisch BUT I unterstand your Videos more than the german Videos!! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH
Thanks for your videos! They really help me, unlike my textbook and teacher.
This really helped me a lot!! Not even my chemistry teacher would be able to give such a simple yet detailed explanation!! Thanks 😊

the man real thanks to your explanation super open minded real thanks ❤❤❤
Great explanation!! Thank you
Loved this. Thank you!
I love this person 😭😭❤you are great help
Very Helpful Thanks for Sharing!
Thanks dude! this saved my life i always sucked at Chem. I'm redoing it to replace a bad rotten grade that's just ruining my GPA. I am terrible at Chem, i had a terrible experience the last time i took the class & I haven't taken the class in 8 years. I've taken physics & engineering classes so i understand the physics portion & how energy works, just fine but the disconnect is always in all these terms & tricks they have to apply the table information to get an answer.
Thank you! I was so clueless but you really helped me! Thank you!
THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING SO SO MUCH I UNDERSTAND!
I finally understand what's isotope and proton neutron Thankiu soo muchhhhhh😩❤️
Thank you so much got a test next week
Definitely earned a new subscriber! Im in 10th grade and dont know if ill see this in school, I was interested in this subject and was researching it in my free time and I loved your way of explaining it! Ill be glad to watch more od your content and videos. Thank you! ^^

This helped a lot👏 I just started chemistry and I wasn’t getting none of it but this dude knows how to explain things in a simple way. I also like how he tested you with the true or false questions, it made me feel proud of myself lol👍
It was a very interesting video .keep it up!
I have a test tomorrow thank you!!!!
Thank you so much! Helped me a lot 😍
the best explanation
Thank you for the great video! It was very helpful ! 👏⭐️👌
Truly a life saver 💗
I have a bad memory for chemistry thats why I failed it in hightschool I can allways remember the names of single elements but not latin type ones, and when they asked me if they were gas, compounds or liquids I failed I would love to go back and fix it, I took to computing and technology more than anyone else, even I loved reading like biology, sciences and doing experiments I listened to the na sayers and now I wish I did not, even if I had a time mechine I would go back to me in time and say stop listening to na saysers, no be so negative on yourself keep pestering them and prove to them and be yourself and pay attention to maths and Physics, chemistry and biology, well the last 3 will help I do not know if biology would help but It would help one understand life better and I guess biology would make people more aware of life and there bodies.
