Arch looked much better than last year release was quick arm strength looked so much better, and obviously having the manning composure helps a lot

Arch looked amazing but you probably should have mentioned that Arch (white) lost by one point to the orange team lead by TX 3rd string QB Trey Owens who is fresh out of High School. As good as Arch looked I think the real story is how amazing Trey Owens looks at such a young age and with so little time in the program. Owens went 14/21 for 228 and 3 TDs. TX QB room is scary deep right now.

OK, let's have a reality check in Manning's performance. Texas has an atrociously bad passing defense last year. As bad as many thought TN's was at 64th nationally. Texas was not 80th, not 100th, not 110th but ranked for the season 116th!!. So before we say Arch is anything like his two uncles, we need to see him against a good defense. With either his legs or arm. I think Arch could be elite in time. We need to see him score some points against a good defense. In Nico's first start, he scored 4 TD's against the number 5 passing defense in the country in Iowa, 17th rushing defense in the country. I think it can but it might be two years before he's at that level due to Quinn starting this season.

The most important phrase in this entire paragraph was “last year.” The rosters especially with the transfer portal can change drastically and thus comparing the expected performance of the current roster to the previous year’s team is not a valid measurement.

And with their first-round selection the New Orleans Saints draft Arch Manning from texas...... FYI the last quarterback the Saints drafted in the first round was Archie Manning his grandfather 😮.

Arch will be great plus he's only 18. Quinn is solid everytime he's started and hardly ever makes any mistakes. Texas is no joke

It's not hard to look good when you know you're not going to be hit. He was able to stand in the pocket longer without worrying about getting drilled if he held onto the ball too long. Most SEC starters and backups look great in the Spring game.

What you didn't mention is that the true freshman third- string QB looked almost as good as Manning,.

That offense was cooking. But, like you said what’s that say about their defense. Week 2 against Michigan will propel one team for sure.

Idea: *Summer game vs another school* • Like an NFL pre-season game • Coaches and players can try new things and make final adjustments. • ESPN and Fox get more $$$

In last years spring game, Manning was the third string QB who played with 3rd stringers and walk-ons. He didn't have a chance.

Ewers legit is THE most overrated player in college this year and I’m sure analytics support this without even looking.
