Your are indeed a day brightener, Clare, thankyou
It's always satisfying watching people having well-deserved fun. This Irish-American Chicagoan says good on ya, Ireland. Good on ya, Clisare. Thanks for a fun video!
I think that style really suits your videos, because you seem to get people feeling like they can talk to you and just about anything.
Thank you so much for sharing the video with us 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 it looks like you had a great time 🥃🇮🇪
Love thee Irish
In Chicago, we'd call the men in the shamrock suits joining the parade "pulling a Richard Kimble" (reference to The Fugitive movie). I love events like St. Paddy's. Everyone's in such a good mood. I'm always amazed at how well-traveled school kids are these days. I was in my high school band back in the day, and we didn't go ANYWHERE. Now it's common for American school bands to be invited to big city parades, Disneyland/Disney World, and even overseas.

I would absolutely love to be there for the Ireland win. I quietly celebrate here in Texas where nobody even knows what I'm talking about. I visited Ireland last May and had a great time...everyone was so nice ❤
I know it's been nearly a week, but happy St Paddy's Day, Clare, Alex and Millie 🍀🍺🥔🇮🇪
21 years ago, I honeymooned in Ireland. Our last full day, we drove across the country back to Dublin...which happened to be St. Patrick's day. We'd already returned our rental car (thank god), and our WONDERFUL taxi driver ended up parking several streets away from our hotel because the parade blocked our way. He helped us cart our luggage through the crowds, and while we waiting to cross the parade route, we saw a college marching band from my husband's home town! And yes, once we were safely delivered to our hotel, we tipped him basically all of our remaining Euros (and a hug) for his help.
Loved the blog as always! Even better that Ireland won the Grand Slam!!!! Can’t wait for the World Cup!!!! Can’t wait for the next van life video! All the best to you!
My favorite sport won by the Irish!!! Well done a small nation whipping everyone, does not get much better😍
Thank you Clisare for sharing these Happy moments, it's BIG reason to be Cheerful at St. Patrick's Day really!! ☘️🇮🇪
This looks so fun
Fantastic - what more can be said. Happy St. Patrick’s day ( although it’s belated, it’s still from the heart )❤
When I went to Ireland in August on holiday, I wore a t-shirt that said 'Labhair liom!' - I only got a few people notice it and speak to me as Gaeilge. Even though I spent much of my time in the Gaelteachtaí! (We stayed in Ardara, Westport, Inís Mór, Kenmare)

My son flew over for the parade! He’s a trombone player in the Pride of Owasso marching band. They took best youth band for the parade. They also watched the rugby matches at the hotels with their motor coach drivers. We have so many videos of the kids celebrating with the drivers (without the alcohol of course 😹)
Great vid, Clare! My missus is mad for parades, myself not so much....but I think I would have enjoyed the Dublin St Paddy's Day parade. Thanks for the shots in the tat shops......I want the "I will NOT calm down...." mug! Congrats to all Ireland on the big rugby win!!
Great video!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!! My mom loved this day!!🇮🇪🍀
That was one hell of a weekend!! Thanks for sharing!
Ah glad you had a grand old time on your St. Patrick's Day weekend.
What a weekend for you. Looks like you had a lot of fun. There is a video by John Harrington interviewing your new buddy. Jim Ryan of Jim of the mill. Time duration 1 hour 17 min. Just letting you know if you want to check it out. Have a good day and thanks for sharing the fun.
Look at Alex with the flowing hair! ❤
alright, well that settles it. i DEFINITELY have to go to Ireland now, because I need a "Keep calm" mug
It's very good to hear and see how f****** awesome your St. Paddy's day weekend was (not jealous at all, NOPE lol). I didn't have that kind of fun, but still got plenty of drinks (of course Guiness is a must over here in the states as well) and made a favorite corned beef and cabbage 🍺🍺🍀🍀. Thank you for this video, Slainte!
Magnificent. Appreciate the Irish people. They sing together, have parades together and dance. So friendly. I mark you as my favorite friendly society. Not to mention that I love your English style. Thank you for giving me a glimpse into your culture. (English is not my first language)

Yep, you had a marvelous weekend, congratz to Ireland. They have a St Paddy's Day parade here in Detroit, but it's not as big as the ones in NYC, Chicago, or of course Dublin. Our biggest parade is on Thanksgiving. I had to work an 11 hour shift on Paddy's Day so to "have fun" since every place was gonna be too packed by the time I got out of work for my final 30 minutes I did the Paqui One Chip Challenge. Wow, that was something, lol! The American busker in Dublin was kewl to see. Have you ever seen Allie Sherlock busking in Dublin? The song about standing shoulder to shoulder...am I correct that is the song for the Republic and the North for when they field a unified team as opposed to having separate national teams? Thanks for another great vid! Sláinte! ~Be Blessed
That looked like a banger of a weekend! I won't go near NYC on St. Paddy's or New Years. Pure madness!

That was fun, thank you! My first trip to Mardi Gras I was surprised that people set up sort of minature bleachers so they could see.
Congrats to your rugby teams! That looked like a great weekend! I was watching for my neighbor in the parade segments. Him, his sister and his father were in Dublin that day. I they're out in the western part of the country now. Anyhow, glad you had fun and I hope the chips were ok reheated!

I was in a pub with my son who’s 6ft 5 when a rugby team came in. He looked like a dwarf compared to all of them. Being in a bagpipe band in the US I watch people go bat shite crazy on St Pats and I’m just looking forward to a beer at the end. In the states we have March Madness during St Pats. It’s a bar owners dream🥃🍷🍺
Was at the game and it was amazing! Sad I missed the parade since we were flying over on St. Patrick Day from the US. But still made time to drink a Guinness since its the law!!
Well , I hope you guys win the world championship Cheers friend
Congratulations
Heyoo what a good time! 🎉
The Dublin parade looks very different from US parades I have been to. Though I admit I have not been to one in several years. I don't recall any artistic ocean-related floats. I do remember my friends on a back of a truck, with their step dance class. It seemed dangerous.

I would LOVE to spend St. Patrick's Day in Dublin and it looked like everyone had a great time. Claire, all the best!
This vid brought back memories of me riding on floats in the Dallas, Texas St. Patrick's day parade 20+ years ago. I did several of them. Oddly enough, I remember the start of all of them. But the end of them is always fuzzy. They were all early in the morning. So we'd all go hard until shortly after noon, sleep off what we had done, then go back out to drink off the hangover from the morning. Oh, those were the days!!!
That looks exhausting.
"and Purdue came...and brought the world's biggest drum. So, riddle me how they got that on a plane..." Wait, wasn't that a Samuel L. Jackson movie..."Snares on a Plane?"

Wow, Clare, I was humming along with y'all there (didn't know the words and don't care) because I was feeling as excited watching this as you, Clare, Alex and others were! And a pint of Guinness is cheap compared to the prices down here! So glad you showed us this, Clare! Now, it would be awesome if the Tryers go to NY for St. Paddy's Day and spend a couple of days in the city! Thanks for this Clare and congrats for Ireland 🇮🇪 winning TWICE!! Slàinte!!
I put celtic woman, postcards from Ireland on pause, well worth it clare, now that's a st Patrick's day parade, damn a pint of Guinness is expensive, take out a 2nd mortgage to get trashed, the instrument that Ritchie was playing woke my cat up and he ran to another room, rome new york
That all looked like such good fun! I miss being young and being able to do things like this. I’ll just live vicariously through your eyes if that’s ok ☘️💖☘️
One would think a Princess would have a straping tall lad in her life that would let her ride upon his shoulders so she could see the parade. Yes pointing at you Alex.. :) Looked like a grand time at the pub, sorry vertical challenges kept you from seeing a lot of the parade, a bit surprised there wasn't a group representing native peoples there. Ireland, the whole island proper, has so many events and festivals annually that look like great craic. It really makes ya want to move there, seriously. Not a simple thing to do for many reasons unfortunately. That American Uilleann pipes player was pretty good too! When I first heard about "paddy wagons", I thought the name was because all of the cops in New York were "Paddies". Not that the contents of the wagons were "Paddies".

Pamela Leanne Freeland We are stark raving mad about country music in ireland, not me personally but generally to the point that british country music performers have to move over here to make a living and 400 000 went to the series of garth brooks concerts thats about 6% of the population of the entire ireland. The roots of country music come from scotland and ireland.
Great! Happy St Patrick's Day! I watched Irish Jesus Paul's live stream of the Dublin Parade and saw the same weird aliens and saw the big drum as well. I also watched the KZread Live Stream of Dublin which was on the corner where The Temple Bar and Shack Restaurant for a while. Looked like a nice area. Is The Temple Bar and Shack Restaurant a good place you would recommend as really Irish or is it more touristy? Also Dublin Ohio which is a part of Columbus Ohio where I live has a big 3 day Dublin Irish Festival during the summer during the first weekend in August every year. It is a music festival as well with many genre's of Irish music bands on different stages in the Dublin Park. Band's like Altan and High Kings came last year.
