Glad that it went so well for you. Rugby only entered my mindspace because a friend had a nephew get into it and it was the primary topic when I went to visit them. Admittedly, the nephew did well enough to get a scholarship from it, so good for him. Nothing makes you as envious as watching a bunch of 18-20 year olds playing rugby with sheer abandon. So jealous of their outstanding health. So. Many. Healthy. Organs.

I think it's so incredible how much to love tag. Too often I think most of us don't have something like that or don't find something like that or are too busy to have something like that - something outside of the mind-numbing work grind, or the daily mundane, or the dreadful existential paralysis of just being a person alive in the world with the state that its in - that we are able to dedicate ourselves to and fully enjoy the moments that come with it. So it's so wonderful and incredible that you have that, and that you are able to be in those moments and enjoy them. I'm sure Ireland couldn't be prouder of you. I've got Irish in me, but I'm not from Ireland, and I don't participate in any Irish traditions enough to truly call myself Irish, but I do feel the Irish pride that I think the rest of Ireland feels towards you. Congrats on medaling and winning MVP! When I was younger, I played 4 years of competitive rugby (mainly 15s and 7s). When my wife and I traveled to Ireland in 2016, we spent a couple nights in Limerick and mainly Dublin and Dingle (Tradfest). We loved our time there and hope to be back in the next couple years!

Well this tag rugby/football thingy is a very proactive sport.. I actually played football in my early days in college and got injured badly because of a heavy contact… the hit dislocated my hip and broke my pelvis after the fall and that was the last time I played football in my life.. (28 years ago )
