The youngsters done well in the end, Normally i feel down after a loss but I'm happy today. Josh Adams chucking that ball away was shocking, I prefer dee for the lineouts think he only lost one.

Yeah I feel the same thing mate. Weirdly happy about how things worked out even though we lost 😬 Yeah Adams has a tendency for this type of stuff doesn’t he. It’s inexcusable though when he’s one of the most senior players in the team. Yeah I’ve never been a fan of Elaias but Dee offers that consistency in that spot

Our bench was substantially stronger than Scotlands (pleasantly surprised), and a lot of them earned themselves a start next weekend. Dee, Teddy W and Mann really beefed up the pack and offered assurance in the set piece. I'm still worried about the front row and the backline will be having regular tweaks I feel as the tournament goes on. With more players to come back, I do actually fancy us to have a real crack at England!

I'm 63 years, old and being a Welsh rugby fan should come with a health warning, Jesus H Christ, how many games like this do I have to endure, the game I watched by myself in my man cave, good job really as the expletives were direct from the bowels of hell in the first half, I have never seen such poor performance since the Georgia game, luckily I had liquid refreshment to calm me down, it really was dreadful I've never seen a kick chase were nobody was chasing, the players looked lethargic and clueless, when the South African winger scored at the beginning of the second half for the first time in my rugby life I wanted to switch off, then to read the headlines Wales beaten by record score 95- 0. Nobody but nobody saw what was coming next, I was going mental after Wales scored the third try I though crikey they're gonna win this, but the last chance went when we were awarded a Penalty kicked to touch then lost the line out, the game was gone, but it was the best loss ever, I cannot wait till next week. I think North and Rowlands will come back in and could it be Teddy moves to 6 to give us an extra line out option, Tomas will be at 9 not sure if Lloyd starts at 10 but he had a good game, on his post match interview Gats mentioned Addams by name for that dumb ball into crowd incident, I wonder if that will cost him is place and put Grady in, we shall see, they say momentum is the key well Wales did have that, bring on England.

Clive. I really enjoy reading this comment even more than I usually do. My wife grandma was here house sitting and I was finishing it really difficult to keep the swears in during both half’s 😂 Yeah North and Rowlands coming back will be useful. Interesting point you make about Adams getting called out. I think the only thing that might save him is the fact that he’s one of the few players with some caps 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think we can go to England feeling like we can do something certainly. Man, that was wild happy with the 2 BPs. I did not expect that turn around in the second half at all, especially after the DVM try 2 minutes into the half. Very impressed with the response from the guys especially the young guys absolutely threw everything they had at Scotland. Great analysis as usual mate.

Grady for Adams would be a big shout. Adams one of our few senior players but I can see why Grady would get into the team over him. Having North back will be a big boost for that back line. Really hope Winnett gets more chance to show his attack next week

I was at the game and I didn't see Owen Watkin touch the ball once I though he was very quiet, North is a big miss and Costelow's game management was terrible he was kicking with the chasers in front of him, Adams was also invisible he didn't win anything in the air. On a more positive note Dee was class I think he should start the rest of the tournament Elias is better in some aspects but Dee's throwing means he has to start for me, Tomos Williams also looked really good when he came on one of his best performances for Wales in my opinion. I would bring North, Grady, T Williams, Lloyd, Dee and Assiratti into the starting 15 for the next game.

Yeah unfortunately Watkins has never really shown much in any of his Wales games which is a shame. Hopefully George is back But I do agree about Dee. I think just him nailing his line out was how we got a foothold back in the game

Hi Mate, hope you both had a good honeymoon , Well that went with a bump. I know we test the new player at an autumn international but we didn't have one it was some thing a bit bigger so no chance to test these new caps. We do have a new team and playing against a Quality Scotland side and at first we had no chance, but in the back of my mind I was still thinking, never say never. Ok first half it was 100% Scotland and even the the first 10 mins in to the second half. line out's were over thrown Josh Adams give away 3 points, bad move by Josh. And then the game turn strangely in our favour from Wal 0 v Sco 27 it was all Wales like now we are starting to play bit late but it was happening player changes ans we were starting to get on track. To be honest I thought we were going to win. It took Scotland 50 mins to get to 27 and it took us 30 min to get to 26 at one point I was thinking of past games when we turned around in the last 20 or 15 mins to be honest I thought it was going to be like Wales v Scotland 2010 , sad to say I was happy the way it ended and like you said another 5 mins I would honestly say we would have won this one. Feeling confident against England next week , especially the way Italy play against them being honest I though Italy were the better team, England were lucky. I still think Ireland are our threat they are good. I watched the under 20s on Friday in Colwyn Bay that was a good game Wal 37 v Sco 29 catch you on the next game Take care Mate🏉👍

I was so shocked with how the boys came out but to be fair they rallied any some of the young guys stepped up and really showed they can play at this level As for England I’m with you too. I think we have a little bit of momentum even though we lost. They weren’t great against Italy so I’m hoping we can go up there and perform. Thanks as always mate. Elias ,Brown, Botham, G Davies , Costelow , Watkins, were very poor . Lloyd was ok when he came on. Rowlands and North need to get back asap. Teddy Williams and Alex Mann were shining lights in the pack. Cory Dom playing the whole game is a bit of a concern but played will . Number 10 spot is going to be a concern for a while. Tomos Williams played very well some rush and way ward passes but played out of his skin. Cam Winnett played well and was solid at the back. The second half pack with tomos Williams and Nick Tompkins saved us. But there are some positives hopefully we can build on this with the young guys .

Yeah agree with all of what you said Rich. Yeah the lack of front row depth is worrying. Really hope Thomas comes back from next week with North and Rowlands. Yeah worried about 10. Not sure how good about Costelow I feel anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t get the blame for Adams. Gats has called him out, publicly, and I think he seems to do that when he wants to drop someone. This would be the right call in my opinion, but there is no reason to call him out; he was clearly injured. Worse than Adams’ mistake was Gatland’s selection. Elias, Costelow, Brown, Davies, Adams, Watkin and even Beard were bad calls, as was the kicking policy. These mistakes WERE HUGE compared to Adams’ stupid error.

I think he’s just trying to send a message to Adams more than looking for an excuse to drop him. I could be wrong of corse but he’s one of our few senior players. Which makes the throw into the crowd worse really I agree the game plan was wrong and a few players who were selected obvs didn’t repay Gats for selecting them. At least he’s going to be closer to knowing who’s the players in the new squad he can trust 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I get what you're say slightly disagree though, I did think the same but have been swayed to some extent after scrum V analysis, we actually won a lot of the key stats and had we converted to point would have been ahead in the first half. odd I know but I guess true. So Gatland selection might not have been so wrong, more the individual performances on the day. I would agree Costelow shouldn't have been starting 10, love the guy but only one game this season he is clearly off the pace and struggled in this game - thats on Gats. Watkin is not an international centre simple. However we were in the 22, 5 times i think 3 of which attacking 5m lineouts, you'd expect to take points and Elias threw it over the lineout - uncatchable - terrible from an international 2 really, having said that the rest of his game is good. 2 other times in 22 we spilled the ball with virtually no phases - very poor handling. Having said that I thought the way the team played in the 2nd its hard not to favour the replacements to start. Definitely Ioan at 10, North at 13, Grady to replace Adams Dee to replace elias. not sure about the rest of the scrum replacements as they are amazing impact players are they better like that or would it be better reversed? in other words we did the work but never finished anything.

Wow what a comment. I think the point you make about the entries in to the 22 is spot on when you break it down. We were architects of our own downfall. Unfortunately this seams to be Elias M.O with the line outs and basically Dee nailing his was the catalyst for us getting back into the game. Agree with you about Watkins. Has plenty of chance no and he’s never cut the mustard at the top level and I agree with all your replacements but I’d keep Adams just for experience in playing at Twickenham more than anything but I would be tempted to start Asseratti so we don’t fall to far behind before he can come on like what happened Saturday 🤷🏻‍♂️ Great comments lads. Some real concurs of rugby 🏉

As a neutral, I cheered for Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in the first half and then for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Wales in the second half. My impression is that Wales is rebuilding a lot better than England are. England are the best goal kicking side but boring as hell. Go Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I think the problem that we have (and Wales has to some extent too, but less obviously) is a total lack of World class players. Marcus Smith, Ben Earl and Ollie Lawrence are probably our only players close to getting into a Lions 23, but none of them would start. Wales are similar but, luckily for them, they have some real x-factor youngsters: Jenkins, Morgan, Reffell, Lloyd, Grady, Dyer, Tomos Williams, Assiratti, Wainwright. It’s not looking good for us.

Always enjoy getting a neutrals comment on the channel so thanks. I think the style of play for England is just what Borthwick thinks is the best was to win games with what they have. Similar to the “Warren ball” philosophy that Gats had over the years
