    It seems to me the fishing industry must be held to blame for all these entanglements and carnage not the "supermarket bag".

    A lot of the whales that get tangled in Australia aren’t from fishermen but the nets they use to keep sharks out which is the problem. If you want to go swimming and take that risk don’t put miles of nets up that kill way more animals than whales. But I also agree with your comment as well

    Great work! I can’t imagine how hard it is to cut them free safely! I know it is not safe to directly get in the water with a huge wale that is afraid, beautiful creatures!🙏🏼🌍🐋❤️🌻

    I find the loogo cross screen very irritating... it is about the whale being saved...

    Can someone explain to me what they are doing? I genuinely want to understand. They seem to be wasting a whole bunch of time trying to attach multiple marker bouys, and then backing up and powering forward at the whale over and over, which I would think would stress the whale out way more. At at least one point they charge at the whale, it goes down and then resurfaces where they're not looking, it comes up and hits the boat, panics, and starts thrashing around. Why don't they come quietly alongside and pull the whale close with the net and start cutting calmly and slowly, like everyone else does?

    Every net should have #'s imprinted on the buoys so that the people who use them are responsible for them & damage they do if they are thrown away into the ocean. Make it international law with fines if these nets are found abandoned. We are destroying the oceans with our greed and stupidity.

    6:47 finally gets a good cut on the body wrap but 6:48 almost knife into the inflatable boat. Out of control. Now if Sea World would set the Orca and dolphins it captured with nets free it would be all good.

    Yeah, not criticising & never done it but the bloke with the cutting implement seemed to miss a number of opportunities. Of course it would be difficult with the swell, that much I have experienced. Wouldn’t a diver in the water be more appropriate. Mind you I have only seen that on other videos. Anyway main thing, did you manage to free the whale of ALL netting/ropes. Hope so. 👍🏻👍🏻😃🇦🇺🇦🇺

    Sea World? The same Sea World that captures Orcas and forces them to preform? They must have been out there looking for babies to put to work!

    Have these people ever done anything like this ever? They don't seem to have enough coordination or are too afraid to cut the rope ! To afraid ! even if the whale gets cut while being rescued with that knife any injury would be small and would heal in days ! They are acting like kids , yes wanting to do a great thing and save this whale but before turning your cameras on let them get over their apprehensive ,jitters first

    What is the deal? They just kept pointing at the whale instead of cutting it loose. I kept thinking, give me that darn pole and I'll cut it loose.

    Sea World needs to get their logo off the screen.!!! And it wasn't clear at the end if all the net was removed from the whale. Disappointing.

    If they would of just got in the water the whale would of known (they are smart) that they were there to help and it would of settled down. Leave it to SeaWorld to F- it up...again.

    Keep in mind people that these rescuers are dealing with a stressed, desperate, multi-ton whale. Yes this was painful to watch how long it took, but remember we are not there. I think it would have helped to get a live camera, at least under the water, with someone at a safe distance helping.

    WTF - You dumped the net back in the water to entangle some other creature? Is this a business model so you can make another 'rescue' video with a huge SeaWorld logo obscuring the view most of the time?

    where is this? Horrible looking coastline! These are supposed to be proffensionals, I've seen amateurs do a better job, they jump into the water. These boats frigtenen the whale.

    That stupid sea world square on the screen blocks most of the video! We already know this is SeaWorld in the video for crying out loud! They might have been better off with somebody jumping in the water with a pocket knife! I don't think sea world knows what they're are doing!?

  • @kaebella2259
    @kaebella22596 жыл бұрын

    Well here it is! They make sure Sea World logo is everywhere so they look good but clearly they're inexperienced. I've seen videos of men jumping in with pocket knives. The nets probably belong to Sea World to begin with. They leave the net in the water? And what ever happened to their promise to shut down? They had commercials saying so! Seems like a real hack job for publicity.
