The Jet-Ranger is one hell of a sexy helicopter. I always loved Bell's 204/205 but the 206 is simply a sexy beast. I took my first flight in the US with one and it's been amazing.

I am surprised that the poor girl understood what the hell the instructor was doing. I know several women helicopter pilots and they are bloody good.

Temp is allowed topass the red line for 10 seconds the red dot 1 second. not even close to a hotty

+ibtm Depends on the helicopter and its equipment. In this case, they were fine. Try this with a mosquito, and you may have some issues.

I would have to assume she already has some foreknowledge with how fast dude was going.

I dunno if you're serious or not about the key. The helicopter doesn't require a key. The guy with his head in the rotor mast is an engineer.

I'm just curious,is the guy in the command pilot's seat a qualified chopper pilot or is he a LAME with ground running certification ? I heard once that anyone who is doing an engine run on a chopper which involves blades turning has to be a pilot or the aircraft has to be tied down & as the heli isn't tied down I'm wondering if the rule of flight crew performing engine runs is still the case ?

The close up shots of the guages were a second start up just to get a better shot of the guages and cyclic. That second one was a hot start

Not a hot start at all. You're allowed 10 seconds over the first red line before it's a hot start.

will you give full throthel to turbine or just idle you even not tell in detail to start avaionics, apu ,fuel etc

probably best that they not disclose the full startup procedure just in case someone spots one in a clearing somewhere and decides to try and have a go at running it or even worse, flying it and this is not a joke, it actually happened in New South Wales one night in 1989 with a couple of kids attempting to fly one with fatal consequences
