For an extra $99 a year I think its hard to beat WGT and even more if the person is limited to iOS and no gaming PC. You showed a very good example of how understanding the slope, lie condition, wind and green speed will impact the shots around these sensitive greens :) WGT is super critical when it comes to the short game. I think if you were to have studied the 2nd green in the same detail you did the 1st green you would have seen that huge slope behind the pin and then adjusted your chip (21 feet) to where it would have only flown just onto the green then it would have rolled out more closer to the hole. The putt coming back showed 12 inches uphill. Any chip that hits a 12 inch downhill slope is going to keep running in WGT and the putt coming back is always going to be slower than expected. We play tons of head to head matches on WGT and would love to get you into some of the monthly tournaments! Thanks for another awesome video and a honest review of WGT!

Great video! Hope to see more on WGT which is fun to play, especially against other players with Skytrak online. However, as you experienced, getting the ball to stop when chipping on is almost impossible most of the time. Makes it very frustrating.

I've only ever played WGT on their mobile app and the runouts on chipping is exactly the same. You almost always have to play short on your approach shots and allow for runout. But I do love the extra that you have to calculate for elevation/wind/rough/sand.

Great video! Some questions please. 1) The skytrak has to be aligned (at least in practice mode) - in the WGT game mode - you touch your ipad to change your aim - this automatically adjusts the aim by shifting the image on the screen? 2) That bunker shot on the first hole - it looked more like a chip shot (I really don't think that shot would have cleared any bunker - unless you hit it clean) - doesn't the 30/40% lie reduction mean you have to hit it a bit harder than normal? 3) For the courses - does the pin placement change daily as well? Thanks! I really enjoy your videos!

Great video quick question would you recommend the skytrak OR the Ernest sports ES tour plus. It will be 100% indoors. My main concern is the accuracy of the shot shape, which would you recommend between the two, Thank you!

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking of purchasing the Skytrac along with the play and improve package. I was curious if the WGT software only runs on Apple IOS products or will it work with Android or Windows as well. Thanks for the great video!

Planning on purchasing a skytrak within the next 2 weeks, will the WGT simulation work on a Samsung (android) tablet? If not, I will probably go with the Mevo+. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I’ve played WGT on my phone. My average score on all available courses is 67. You have to pay attention to the wind and aim accordingly. When aiming at a pin, keep the distance pin high and pay attention to uphill/downhill. A good example, if the pin is 10 ft away and it’s 3 inches downhill, that’s a 7 ft putt. The reason you missed the chip so badly on hole 2, you didn’t take into consideration that it was 10 inches downhill. You only needed to chip about 2 yards. You’ll get there with trial and error. By the way, my real hdcp is an 8. I think you mentioned on one of your videos that you are an 8 also. Hope all this helps.

That chip run out was on standard greens, good thing it wasn't on tournament greens. It would have been in the rough.

E6 is more robust for sure. I have many videos on that as well.

You can't set them both up at once because they interfere with each other.

i just got my skytrak, do you have a video on how to connect wgt and skytrak?

I don’t know what club you chipped with but it was almost a foot downhill. That’s why it ran out.

I have a Skytrak with the game Improvement software. I play TGC 2019 software. If I get the Play & Improve package, will I be able to play the WGT courses without hooking up another device? ie iPad?

I have WGT running on an old iPad along with the SkyTrak. I’m unable to hit anything longer than a 5 iron in my set up so thought I could get some fun out of playing a selection of par 3 holes. The experience is limited, chipping a lottery and almost always take the auto putts as attempting to putt will add at least 4 to my score. I’m a 5 handicap so have a reasonable short game, I don’t want to adapt my stock shots and feel for WGT and then have to recalibrate back out on the course. I haven’t played with this as much I hoped as I thought it was a way to help improve my golf, have something that simulates being on a course and ultimately be fun. WGT for me falls on all 3 counts.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos I think we have to keep in perspective WGT was designed as a phone/ tablet app and its conversion into an entry level simulator product is an affordable entry into the world of golf simulation. I’m still undecided about upgrading to E6 and the additional cost involved. If I can get a realistic experience of being able to play a course once or twice a week during the winter months then it would be worth it.

Yes just hdmi dongle. Using a iPad Pro 13" and 1920x1200 projector. It's all about resolution.

Honestly the graphics seem so so good to me but long irons seem to be very short for me for some reason. 6-4 iron very hard to hit 180-220 yards. Doesn’t feel right to me so wish the software could transfer the data from sky trak better.

I just bought the skytrack and am screen mirroring to my tv using my iPhone 12 Pro. Do you think there’s any “graphics advantage” using an iPad with a lighting adapter?

The advantage would probably mainly be iPad could have higher resolution and is a more 4:3 format if you want it but iPhone is more 16:9 so for tv would be better. I think as long as you have a strong connection the mirror is as good of quality as adapter.

can you have more than 1 player when using this software

I could be wrong but I don't think the pin placements ever change.

can more then one person can play at a time? As i understand you cannot play wgt on your pc?

Does WGT work with an ipad pro 12.9 inch? I want to play golf courses on my skytrak that should ship out soon, but do not have a gaming PC. Thx in advance!!!

@@j1238066 you don't connect the SkyTrak to a projector you connect whatever device is connected to the SkyTrak running software whether it be an iPad or computer etc.

I played WGT on my Skytrak a few years ago and found chipping to be exceptionally frustrating and unrealistic. I’m looking to build a home sim in my new place and struggling to decide if I want to break the Skytrak out of storage or get something new.

I found chipping very difficult as well. The new Play plan with include e6 15 courses etc for Skytrak+ which is a nice bonus. There are a ton of options though. Feel free to email me to discuss.

"Looking for Devices" ... ugh, if I had a dollar every time I saw that on my iOs/Skytrak setup. Do you know if WGT has migrated to local multiplayer availability for 2023? To me that's the biggest lacking feature with WGT 2022. I'm switching to GSPro with local multiplayer, even if I have to buy a PC gaming laptop.

If this had any free courses like the mevo plus has I would already own it. Now I have to see if I can find space for the mevo plus. I am still stuck between the 2. What good is a simulator if you cant play with others at a course. $1000 just for courses is a little extreme in my opinion.

There are actually many options for SkyTrak. You can do a $300 year subscription to E6, Creative Golf 3D etc. Check them all out. Thanks for watching

Looking at purchasing one of these. Can you play multiplayer on this. As far as my understanding you cannot. Also, what is it compared to going out and playing these courses?

that is correct .. no local multiplayer capabilities with 2022 version. It's really a bummer. Hoping developers come to their senses on this, as not many other platforms designed for iOs.

I contacted WGT to ask if they can add Mevo+ support but they have no plan yet. It’s a pitty as i do like playing with WGT on my iPad.

Most are all PC based? Only the apps are iOS which is just WGT basic range and they also have a PC version of that. They have E6, TGC, and Creative Golf.

I have a question.... So the graphics are this good on only an Ipad? so If i have a newer Ipad then it will look like the "photo realistic".... Last question consider everything and you could only use one software with your ST+ and REALISM was your objective what would you pick GSPRO E6 or WGT ( Also consider I have a "midlevel" gaming laptop
