It’s the 8’x10.5’ DIY Enclosure from Carl’s: friendlygolfer.com/recommends/carls-place-diy-enclosures/ Somewhere on there they have the exact dimensions of everything but it’s roughly 8’x10.5. I have about 11ft ball to screen.

Hi! Do you know if the putting version of the GS Pro connector has been updated yet? Also, how is the putting on the Skytrak+ in general? Is it accurate? I am STILL trying to work out what launch monitor I should go with. Being in Japan, I am a bit limited with some units because of region lock. The Skytrak+ isn't officially available in Japan yet but I am returning to Australia for a week and am thinking about buying it there and bringing it back to Japan with me. Another option I have started considering is the Golfzon Wave. It is actually relatively cheaper to buy in Japan than it is in the US. It works out to be around US$3300. To buy the Skytrak+ in Australia it costs US$3200 so almost the exact same price. It has solid putting and all ball and club parameters and for a subscription that is a bit cheaper than GS Pro it also has a lot of courses. I have heard that it is great for golf simulation but not so much for practice or game improvement, which seems a bit strange considering it has all data parameters you need. I am used to using GS Pro with my R10 so not sure if the Golfzon experience is as good as GS Pro. Do you know much about this unit?

As far as I know the ST+ still does not work for putting or club data in GSPro. No idea when that will get updated as I think we are just waiting on the creator to get some free time. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the Golfzon wave and it’s still pretty new. I’m not sure I see it taking off in the U.S. due to the price point and not working with GSPro. Unfortunately I also don’t know much about which devices are available for Japan & Australia. I do know the Uneekor Eye Mini and Bushnell Launch Pro are not options for those regions. That leaves me thinking the best device available might be the Foresight GC3 but that’s a big jump in price. Sorry I couldn’t help more!

I did some research and the Golfzon Wave doesn't directly measure spin so for me that doesn't really make it worth upgrading to from the R10 because the only real issue I have with he R10 is shot shape because it can't read sidespin. Distances have never been an issue and short chipping seems to be OK now compared to when it first came out. I have zero chance of convincing my wife it's worth spending over $10k on a golf simulator so the GC3 is a non-starter so I guess I'll be sticking with the R10 for a bit longer. The Skytrak Plus is probably what I will eventually upgrade to but I will wait until it's officially released in Japan. Have you tries the putting extension for GS Pro using a webcam? I use it when playing GS Pro with the R10 and after setting it up with the webcam almost directly (hanging from the ceiling) over the ball and good lighting it is really impressive! I wonder if the putting extension could be used in conjunction with the Skytrak Plus instead of the R10. That would be a perfectly acceptable solution for me.

With $5k and under budget, what launch monitor do you recommend? No rear units, as space will be a concern.

If you have $5K for a launch monitor and are in the U.S. I would go with the Launch Pro for sure. You may consider the Uneekor Eye Mini as well but I personally haven't used it yet. If you need to reserve some budget for other parts of your setup then the best option may be the original Skytrak given your space limitations. Couple questions…what computer do you have in order to run it? Also, is the gs pro free as long as you are paying the $250 subscription for skytrak?

I'm using an ASUS TUF Dash laptop with an RTX 3070 GPU: amzn.to/3YXR9kw Currently GSPro works without any Skytrak subscription but since it's not an official integration there's no guarantees it will work forever or that it won't require a subscription in the future.

Yes to the GSPro subscription. The new connector (after this video was filmed) is supposed to require the skytrak play and improve subscription but there are a lot of people that report not needing it. So worst case yes to both. It's still not supported by skytrak officially so you have to get into the simulator golf tour discord and get what you need there.

Anyone have a fix for how the ST+ driving range needs to be an active window to finish the shot before it will return to another shot in GSPro? Using a TV rather than a projector and having both apps open doesn't work unless theres a 442 download I am missing, none of the invites for that discord are active. Basically it will register one shot then the monitor does not become ready again until you go to the ST app and allow the shot to complete. Tried this in 2 virtual desktops as well.

I’m not aware of this problem. The shot happens simultaneously in both programs for me. Once started I usually just minimize the skytrak window and don’t go back to it.

The newest version of the connector called OpenSkyPlus does require the Play and Improve subscription.

Do you need the game improvement or play and improve package to use gspro?

Both work with GSPro using OpenAPI but the the OG and + use different "connection software". You can join the simulator golf tour group on discord for info on getting the OG connected.

I am running SkyTrak+ with 4.4.6 and can't seem to connect GSPro via API. I assume the likely issue is the latest version of ST I am using. Anyone else having issues?

I haven't had the time to update and try it but on the last Skytrak update I think I had to delete the connection files from the sktryak folder and install them again after the update.

I just got the ST+ and I had to download V4.4.2. I cant get the LM to connect to GS Pro. Is this because of the new version? Anyone have a V4.4.1 they could share?

It works with 4.4.2 so that’s not the issue. Make sure to run skytrak as admin.

Locked how? Meaning no Skytrak subscription? This version worked without a Skytrak subscription but the new version that allows for putting requires a play and improve subscription. Original Skytrak uses a different connector and does not require a subscription.

The creators of the new connector said that it would be a requirement but people are reporting different things. Some are saying it did not work without the play and improve subscription and others are using it without one. Personally I have been able to use it without a skytrak subscription.

Doesn’t look like it. My 30 day trial ran out and I don’t have any skytrak subscription right now.

why people want to putt in a sim will forever be a mystery to me. their golf sandals must be on too tight or something, cutting off circulation to the brain.
