Western Mass SNOW WALK • 1/8/2024 • Winter Ambience

I was lucky to catch the first real deal blizzard in over two years in New England. A foot of snow fell overnight and blanketed everything. Even more in some places. It’s awesome to see it as it’s happening and the fresh white snow adds a new look to all the homes and landscapes. So, it only made sense to make a video to share with the rest of the world. I was thinking how some people never get cold weather at all, let alone snow. It would’ve been nice to film the snow as it fell, but it was mainly at night and the roads were pretty bad the next day since nothing was cleaned yet. Even so, it looked great in all the areas I checked out being covered in white. Very picturesque.
The main places I walked through were the Forest Park neighborhood on the east side of the park called Entry Dingle Heights, Forest Park Heights and Cozy Corner on the west side of the park, all in Springfield, MA. Then I walked around Longmeadow, MA in the neighborhood south of Forest Park and the Route 5 historic district. Lots of Tudor Homes, Colonials and amazing brick houses that had a cozy, winter New England ambience. The scent of fireplaces added to the whole thing. A classic winter episode. Have a hot mug of tea or cocoa and enjoy!

This is so beautiful! It’s been two years since seeing snow! I like how you could see the depth of the snow on the sidewalks that were cleared. Snowfall adds so much to the homes, landscaping and peacefulness. Thanks for the calming walk❤

What an invigorating walk Paul, thanks. Those old historic homes get me every time, just love them. The snow was so pristine. Looked like white frosting cut with a sharp knife on the sidewalks. Waiting for more.

Ha! I was thinking it reminds me of lemon meringue pie in some places where it’s cleared on the sidewalks! Like at 28:03 haha Love seeing all this snow. It really is beautiful.

Not gentrified though, been the same since the late 1800’s when they were first built.

I’ve always enjoyed walking around places in Europe. Love the architecture. As for interiors over here, check out my walking videos of Forest Park Heights in Mass and Old Westbury in NY. Those show some inside footage. Thx for tuning in!
