Nice content. Thanks for presenting. I just have 1 question - I have noticed some of the hills in Western Ghats, particularly in the Chikmagalur area, have sedimentary rock formations even close to the peak. This must be around 1500 to 1800m above sea level. Any explanation for this? Thanks in advance..
@zetaupsc
5 сағат бұрын
Thanks for the appreceation. Regarding western ghats in chikmanglur i am not specifically aware of that regions geoglogy, but most mountains are formed due to folding generally by collision of plates. due to this the sedimentary rocks in sea bed or lower regions gets uplifted and metamorphosed. Hence it is very common to find sedimentary rocks on mountain tops. Even mt everest on its peaks have sedimentary rocks and many fossils are found in these rocks.

Srilanka has great biodiversity and it is a continuation of western ghats hot spot. i will try in future to make a video on that. The channel is mainly based on syllabus of an exam held in india, so the focus mainly remains on indian geography. Great you liked it. The rivers in penisnular region flow in east because the slope of peninsular plateau is in west, the western ghats are younger and taller while eastern ghats are older and erroded. in north the aravalli forms a water divide, dividing into ganga river system which flows in east, and indus system which flows in west.

Thanks for appreciation. Regarding pronunciation of names I had already apologized in advance in one of my post. And I would humbly disagree with your remark that it takes little effort for correct pronunciation. There hundreds of names of not thousands in this whole map series and most of these names I have only read and never heard in people's conversation. Moreover, unlike English words there are no reliable source for pronunciation of these names and remember them and accurately pronounce while creating audio track is while another level of challenge. Moreover many places are pronounced differently in English and local language like Pune or Anand or roorkee. That is why I focused on keeping the spellings accurate as it will help the viewer correlate and understand the place.

Let me try to put an counter argument 1. 2 million PPL died due to partition, that would not have happed 2. 4 wars were fought between India n pak, that would not have happened. 3. So much fund is spent on security because of dual boundary threat, we could have used that money for PPL 4. There would have been little opposition to India's claim for permanent seat in unsc 5. India could have easy access to middle Asia and west Asia, there could have been much better trade integration and India could be leader of south n Central Asia. 6. Most problems in Pakistan is due to there thinking of Indian threat, so Pakistan would not be dominated by army. 7. If United India would have never interfered in Afghanistan, hence no Taliban would have formed. Terrorism would not have germinated in central Asia. 8. Pipelines from Iran and Russia would have been reality making fuel cheaper n providing boost to economy. 9. There wouldn't have been a Kashmir issue or Kashmir insurgency. No displacement of kashmiri pandits And many more

@zetaupsc

It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your opinion on Sri Lanka's relation to the biodiversity of Western Ghats.
@zetaupsc

Srilanka has great biodiversity and it is a continuation of western ghats hot spot. i will try in future to make a video on that. The channel is mainly based on syllabus of an exam held in india, so the focus mainly remains on indian geography. They do include world geography but that is less detailed than indian geography, hence the focsu is on indian geography. Thanks for watching the video.

The subcontinent is so unique

@@adv.ajaiabraham4089 exactly n same is true for many north indian places which are pronounced wrong by non locals like Pune, Anand, Roorkee, Almora, vadodara and many more. Point being when non natives are going to name a place they are going to b inaccurate.
