Western Ghats Programme

The world is growing but the Earth is diminishing, thanks to the the constant alienation and abuse that human interference causes to the delicate balance of nature. Envisioning a greener, ecologically healthy tomorrow, Critical Ecosystems Partnership Fund ( CEPF) in association with Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) have backed the efforts of various conservationists and research outfits which has empowered their pilot projects and given them the wings to make a significant difference. With 103 grants amounting to over $6.1 million, the constant support and fundings have helped revive different species of Western Ghats and reaffirm indigenous rights of the tribes who made made the Ghats their home.
The initiative itself is a new wave that instills hope for a better tomorrow.

They destroy forest and make tea and coffe estates, to open resort they clear forest , they convert forest to agricultural land, this should stop.also should encourage to plant forest trees in agricultural land next to forest, the day we loose western ghats, we loose north-east monsoon, india is finished economically, inspite of knowing all these things forest area is reducing year after year, should protect at any cost.

No other country and I mean not a single country possess such diversity as India in every aspect. So plz guys we are the future generation, what good or bad our past generation did or the current generation is doing let it have their way. Let us gather and take a vow to make our motherland better from ours. Its easy if we stay together rather than fighting each other for foolish things in life. If we having such powers say its hard or impossible who else gonna make it possible then.

Now Really Worried abt My State Forest in Hasdeo Arand Area... which is a 170sq KM yes 170000Hectare of Densest Forest in Central India is given Clarence for Mining 5 Metric Tonne of Coal for Adani Power unit... It was declared as A No Go forest for Mining in 2009 by Environment Ministry... But now it doesn't matter becoz Modi is in Power and he gifted this precious land to his friend Adani🙏🙏🙏 Please do research abt Hasdeo Arand... Which is Rich in Biodiversity and Equally desne as Western Ghats
