As a West Ham fan I would NOT have Antonio over Kane. That is the perfect example of having your fan goggles on. Antonio has been so poor the last two months. It’s a shame as he started off the season so well. Kane’s not done much better but please don’t compare the two ffs 🤦‍♀️

Yeah, It's not even close. Antonio had a blistering start, but Son has already scored 1 more than him, and we have 2 games in hand on West Ham. We don't know how long Kane's slump will last. We DO know that Antonio will not sustain this form for an entire season. Kane's non-goal scoring attributes are still better. He can press more, he is like having a top CB on defensive headers. Antonio doesn't try some of the passes Kane pulls off. No slight against him btw, hate playing against him, but he's not on Kane's level.

Ah excellent questions make for good debates. Both were open to having good discussions and were not absolutely rigid in their beliefs. I enjoyed that both prefaced their statements on a baseline. Stevo based his arguments around current form and Flav based his arguments around the class of player. Currently, Spurs are the team with better form, but only just. The current striker on better form is Michail Antonio and that isn't even close. Lloris is a better GK than Fabianski as well. And if you're asking who is going to finish higher in the table, it would be significantly easier to debate if Spurs and West Ham played the same amount of matches but they haven't.

For those of you who don't know, Kevin Stephens aka Stevo the Madman is an ex-professional footballer. He played for Leyton Orient but was injury prone throughout his career and spent many spells on loan.

Spurs fan should have walked out as soon as the West Ham puts his glass at STRONGLY AGREE💀 on Harry Kane and Antonio debate.

Think I would take Skipp, Son and Kane into this west ham starting 11. Soucek was great last season but a more confident midfielder would unleash Rice into that next world beating level that we all know he's capable of. Form is temporary and all it needs is a few games for either team to change in form. Then the conversation changes on its head

And Lloris. Also, Once Romero is fit, he starts too. Not having any chat about Masuaku, Ogbonna etc over the Serie A defender of the season and copa America winner. We have a real manager now, things are already looking up. We're 2 points behind with 2 games in hand. Those two being Burnley and Brighton.

Wouldn't take any West ham player to be fair, not up to the standard, rice I guess but apart from him, none of em, by the end of the season we should look pretty tasty under conte, it's hard to not see that happening

Ps I’m not saying West Ham are bad, but this fan is a bit over the top with the way he’s talking about their players. Some of them are good (Antonio, rice) while others are half decent ( their whole defence)

Small team attitude innit. They've not used to seeing the kind of players, and quality of football you get at top clubs, so when they get a taste they get way too high. They've never got to enjoy the likes of Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Son, Lloris, Vertoghen, Alderweireld, Gareth Bale, Modric play for their team. Just a Payet here and there before they fucked off. When they suddenly see their CB's not falling on their arse every 5 mins, or their striker sky an easy chance, they lose all perspective. They're already behind Arsenal, soon to behind United and Spurs too.

Harry Kane has averged 25+/- PL goals in the past 5 seasons, he has won 3 PL golden boots and a WC golden boot. How is this conversation taking place. Its like me saying I'd take Salah over Messi because he's having a better season.

TBF, right now I would take Salah. Not cos of temporary form, but cos Messi is carrying a lot of injuries and he's quite old. A fit and healthy Messi every time though.

I like West Ham much more than Spurs but Declan Rice is never earning 400K a week and any top 6 club would happily buy Kane over Antonio, even if the former wasn't the English captain.

Romero would easily get into West Ham, Lloris too (I'm Polish and love Fabianski btw), Kane is having his first bad season but overall hes the best player out of thos 2 teams. Reguilon for sure in contention alongside Skipp, Lucas and the version of Dier we're seeing under Conte.
