The outer noise it’s never been a problem. Your video and audio equipment it’s just that good. And besides I think it adds more authenticity to the mood when you can hear the noises in the background. It’s just genuine. Tnx Sam.

I tried this at Wendy's and it was really good, especially for a fast food place, but I can only imagine how amazing your homemade version is. Also, that sauce would be bomb to make your own version of the pub fries they offer to go along with this burger.

Yes, I can hear the gardeners. However, it's background noise at most. Can still hear you guys crystal clear. It's not bad at all.

agreed, cant hear them at all. Gives a complexity that actually complements the flavor and provides some homogeneity to the audio.

I hope the gardeners and Astro never stop. You guys yelling at them is A+ content

Season and coat onions in cornstarch. Stays crispy even when they get cold. Much better than dredging in flour.

Also, if I were Sam’s son, I’d totally hide all the paper towels before the first bite. Just once. To see my dad frantically look around but find nothing. Max...you know what you need to do.

I can't even really hear Astro when he barks, and he's this whole mystery dog. IS ASTRO EVEN REAL, are the gardeners real, is any of this really real, and if so, please compose a breathtakingly delectable condiment to slather on top so I can cope with it better ;) Thank you for getting me through this pandemic slog, you guys are amazing.

Your audio sounds great guys... the gardners make a nice little ambient background noise. Nothing bothersome at all. EDIT: Today (Nov 12th) is my 35th birthday and I love nothing more than a traditional philly cheesesteak, but I have a special request when you have time. A fully loaded over the top PHILLY FUCKIN' CHEESESTEAK!

Hey Sam. Idk if you’ll ever read this or not but we’re nearing up on the anniversary of my father passing away and your videos have been helping out a ton. Mostly I think it’s because he was like a tall Irish American clone of you man honestly. Loved food, loved food TV, loved talking shit about all the TV shows and loved making food his way. Not to mention talking shit to his kid while cooking being a favorite pastime as well. So thanks for making a hard time a little easier by showing there’s more likeminded people out there.

As for frying the bacon, I saw cooks do this at a hospital cafeteria when I was a kid. Being a kid that liked cooking, it blew my mind how crispy and flavorful it was in a bacon cheese burger. As someone who saves every drop of bacon grease I can, I highly suggest adding 1/4-1/2 cup (or more depending on how much oil you’re frying with) to your oil anytime you deep fry something. It will make frozen French fries taste amazing.

I can hear them, it truly does not bug me. I love the chemistry guys!

They don't bother me, I'm focused on you and didn't even notice until you brought it up. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that has wanted to tell you, "Don't worry about the gardeners and the airplanes." The microphone is close to you, we can hear your voice the most.

The reason that I think your show is as good as it is, if you look at all the other media cooks, its all so..staid and rehearsed, and the host interacts with the camera, but not really the environment, your environment is part of the show, its real.You do not hide the oopsies, you almost celebrate them. Its visceral, and in my mind makes it much more genuine. I love the sounds of the jets, the gardeners and you shouting at the dog. Its like sitting with a good nieghbour chilling in his back yard.

In Germany we call them Buns „Laugenbrötchen“. Love the Show

Made this this weekend. Used Waygu ground chuck. My wife said it was the best burger she has had. Our honey mustard was a little higher proportion of mustard and we held the pickles but OMG was this good.

I barely hear the gardeners, does not bother me. Love the playful banter between Max and Sam! Keep up the amazing work!

Sam, we LOVE your channel!!! The gardeners can be heard faintly but they're not annoying to us. We focus on what you're saying 😃

One tip Sam, when baking bacon in the oven with a rack, placing tin foil below to catch the grease is a LIFE SAVER! Sometimes (personal experience), when the bacon grease burns onto the pan from baking in the oven, it is a huge pain in the ass to clean, not to mention having to find a way to dispose the leftover grease.

You sound like you're getting to pro level in German food 👍 There's actually a weird region in Germany where they call it Breznsemmel, but that's only in Bavaria. Even in Baden-Württemberg where the Brezel was in invented its called Laugenbrötchen. German living in Germany

@@hello.itsme.5635 I asked my German wife about that and sure enough she's familiar with Breznsemmel. She say it's because in their dialect they say "Brezn" instead of "Brezel". But yea, there's a legendary bakery in our town where people from all over drive to for their bread. They've been in business for more than a hundred years. Their Laugenbrötchen is out of this world. If we move back to the US, I have resigned myself to never finding bread like that there. Every Saturday morning, I fork a good penny for some 24 month San Daniele ham, or some Pata Negra, and every Saturday have the best breakfast I've ever had.

My fav is when Astro barks, Sam...and especially with Max and/or Chance... yelling Astro's name in unison.

I usually hear the gardeners and the dogs and the planes and I like it. They stir up the ranting old man in Sam that I look forward to in every episode.
