What helps me correct mistakes but not lose my knitting mojo, is to rip it out or back like a tearing off a band-aid. Then leave it for a day or few before starting over. Now that you know the pattern, you will make less mistakes on it and it will be easier to work on knowing you’ll be happier with the end product.

Toys make the best baby gift knits. Just the other day I saw a little girl with a little rabbit (girl rabbit by Julie Williams) I knit for her when she was born 4 years ago! I see plenty of KZreadrs craving more colorful knits. I don't know if it's to overcome the sadness of this world, but it's a trend I'm really happy to see! I love all these beautiful colors popping up! Definitely brings me joy.

Hi Bethany! Maybe for the next stuffed dog you could make contrast tail or/and ears, then you would have enough polar yarn? 😊 you inspired me to make one! I have almost 1yo girl, who started playing with teddy bears and cuddling our dog (maltese) so I must knit one for her so our dog can relax 😁

How are you so good with picking colors that suits you?! 😍 I really struggle with this, I just chose colors I like but a lot of them don’t necessarily “suit” me 😂 maybe because my hair is brassy blonde and not how I want it 😅 everything just feels brassy too 😂 love love love that puppy! Can’t believe it’s knitted! You are such an inspiration for me, love everything you do and really loved you new way of filming! 😍

I just knit the DRK socks in plain stockinette! I simply knit one size smaller than my normal to account for fit. Worked out great!😊

If you have that fluffy yarn left you can knit a pillow, at least a one side of it. I think your son would appreciate it as much as a toy :) (The other side can be sown together with some nice soft fabric)

Hi Bethany, loved this episode! Your knitted dog is so so cute and the cobalt blue Sweater No. 15 is stunning😍 I love your approach of mistakes being a unique element in handknits, this definitely takes some pressure off! I hope you'll find a solution for your Saunseray Sweater that lets you enjoy the knitting process and love the finished garment:)

Veritas changes their wool every season, not a huge amount usually, but definitely enough that it is impossible to match. And you're definitely right about the quality - especially the mohair - it's always such uncomfortable wool (and that from someone who is not at all wool sensitive).

Jane Richmond has a great sock pattern that uses a fleegle heel. It called the climb socks

The dog is adorable! For the legal heel stockinette sock - I use the DRK Everyday Sock pattern and literally just knit it flat. I use all the same numbers and it turns out great every time! And saves buying another pattern

Lovely little dog! I would suggest to knit one ear in a neutral mohair. Or shorten the legs if possible.

If you use a slightly less “furry” yarn as the bottom of the feet of a second dog, it might look like it’s wearing socks. 😊

I LOVE color and never understand people who live in a monotone world knitting only neutrals. Color gives me joy, so I have played a lot with colorwork. When I decide to do something neutral….gray, beige, ivory I am bored out of my mind. Something for everyone, right?

I know this doesn't relate to the topic but I'm really curious if you take care so that your hair look this amazing or you know... you were just born this way? Haha. I guess I just want to know if I could reach similar results if I tried or if it's unobtainable :D

Its better to start over when you make a mistake like that. It will keep bugging you so better to do it quickly and just redo it, now that you understand the pattern. Often I've tried to justify letting it be but it eventually gets to me and I end up ripping it out.

For the socks, forgive me if I'm wrong but, couldn't you just knit the bearpaw socks not in a rib but straight stockinette, instead of purchasing or needing a new pattern? If you enjoyed that pattern so much already:)

Can you turn the Saunseray project into a hat? Depending how wide your piece is, you might be able to knit a bit more and then decrease for a crown.
