"Who are you to get me wet!??" - angry babies the shelters in my area are bursting right now, I hope I can get my own space to foster soon, these videos are great resources!!

I spent six hours today bathing seven ringworm kittens of various ages, doing nail trims, and sanitizing their rooms and I am exhausted! Then I watch you going out there in the heat and living this life every day and realize just how awesome you are. Keep it up, no ick!

Thank you for sharing your work with us. I volunteer every Sunday at my local shelter, but you and all the all the other wonderful rescuers I follow have inspired me into further action. I haven't fostered in a long time because I live half time with my boyfriend (every other week), but I recently took in a young, skinny pregnant cat my coworker found that looked like she was about to pop. She had 7 babies 36 hours after arriving. They are 2 weeks old today and I'm loving it! My mother is retired and lives with me, so she is their full time, incredible, loving caretaker. When I'm with my BF, I still pop in daily to clean all the boxes, restock supplies, weigh babies and say hi to our sweet momma kitty. I hope my mom will want to continue to foster in the future with me. Or maybe I can see if there is a need for someone like me who can foster a week at a time. Hmmm. Is that a thing? Anyways, I already have a vet appt scheduled for health checks and found out about a spay and neuter program for all 8 of my fosters that is very reasonable. Nobody is going home with their new family until we've all been altered. ❤ Thank you again!

Ok. Moment or reality. Everyone has a good heart, but dont offer when you KNOW you cannot foster. Share for the possibility of finding someone who CAN foster. Also, share the heck out of this so more cats can be helped. Donate your time to your local rescue/shelter. And look up resources to be part of the solution. Many thanks!!!

It doesn't always go according to plan. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We've fostered off and on for 10 years, and havent kept any babies. Until this last litter. We lost 2 out of 4 to FIP, and the rescue decided not to treat. Do now my partner and I have 2 kittens we're treating for FIP and will be with us for 6 months. The plan has never been to keep a kitten, let alone 2 very expensive ones. 😅 HUGE shoutout to the FIP Warriors facebook group and admins who have been amazing throughout this process. We wouldn't be able to help these two little dudes without them. Fostering and rescue just throws curveballs. I think its just as important (if not actually more important) to talk about the harder stuff. Just showing cute babies is fun, and is a part of rescue. But its definitely not the only part and people who want to adopt, foster, or be a part of rescue should know what they might be in for. I love your videos, they're exactly what rescue is like. The good, the bad, and everything in the middle.

So great to see young people TNR..The next generation has to take over and continue..I did it years ago to make a difference in my area..TNR is important..no more suffering kittens..

For days when it's hot, I've given my cat a wet washcloth bath. A wet rag purrito can help cool things down... or even a damp towel spot. Add a pocket fan and you've got a mini swamp cooler.

You are so inspiring to me. I have severe ADHD I started treating it when I was an adult about 16 years ago. It was a difficult transition and I felt like I had to re learn how to be a functional person With the majority of those 16 years I am currently 41 years old. Filling more balanced capable I sit here and often wonder what I can do now. I have my degree and have worked as a graphic designer But feel like most of that rule my life has been fulfilled. Seeing your videos inspires me to get out there and get back to it again. When I first started on my meds I was definitely getting more accomplished but unfortunately I was married to an abusive person so many of those 16 years was recovering from that. Please keep doing what you're doing cats are my first love I absolutely adore them. That's what got me started watching your videos and seeing somebody who is a reflection of myself even on medication just thrills me & feels with so much gumption and ambition thank you! °~•.☆.•~°

Note: I wear leaf-blower earmuffs all the time, unless another person is trying to talk to me, & can’t recommend this practice enough. I'm taking care of my second group of foster kittens. I had a brother and sister first, and when they got adopted my husband and I found we missed them so much. I messaged our local shelter to say we'd be interested again and 4 hours later we had a call to take 3 kittens 2 boys and a girl who were 2 weeks old. Now they are 7 weeks and a huge part of our family. Really miss them when they get adopted but knowing we got to shape such wonderful kittens is the best feeling ever. Thank you for all you do! Try to stay cool.... We're in Florida and all I want to do is stay in the ac with the fur-fosters!

I just came across one of your shorts, Moonpie, I thought it was too funny, I also had a Moonpie. I too had to do some capturing, trapping, and getting some fixed and the kittens were tamed and trained and found homes. But anyway I had one kitten who I looked at and said you look like a Moonpie, the lady that chose him loved the name, it was nice she sent me pictures of him in his new home. I am subscribing, keep up the good work.

I live in a small apartment with 2 spoiled cats. When I moved in with 1 I had to pay $200 deposit. Later my X wanted me to take the older one. Again I had to pay a deposit of $400 because other tenants were not paying a deposit for their animals. I love them both! 1 is 10 and the other is 🤪16 now and has renal failure so he’s on Rx Food . No regrets about the $$$ I’ve spent at the Vet, ( very good care)

Our little network of indie rescuers does the kitten shuffle too, a lot. I really have to try not to know about any colonies or cat problems beyond what we have capacity for, but this year has been so hard. It is nearly November and there are still a lot of colonies I know about that no one has even started managing yet. I hate to imagine what next year will be like at those sites when we finally reach them.

Is there some kind of portable oxygen unit you could bring on these rescues on hotter days? Because a little oxygen mask might’ve helped little panting black kitten more than offers of water. My own cat FREAKS OUT in the car, so - before our vet prescribed a mild sedative for car rides - he would arrive at his checkups hyperventilating and overheated, and what helped him then was not water but oxygen.

I foster usually from the shelter i work at...occasionally you get the errant flea...youre plucking these guys directly from nature my question to you is how do you keep your house/car from getting infested by maybe a jump off, eggs dropping etc

This may be slightly offtopic, I know kitten whisker casualty was a mistake, but the vets in my area use "manscaped" to shave cats in difficult/thinner skin areas. It has a smaller blade+waterproof and thought it might be useful for you, but it may also be out of your budget outside of a direct sponsorship. Maybe take a look at it if you have the time, or are in need of another razor Thank you for the education efforts, both the tnr and the knowledge is impeccable to my adhd brain.

The answer to the somehow is most likely just... Animals doing animal things

about the kitty panting because of the heat, would it help them if you put water on them ? since they don't sweat it would cool them down a bit and in case they want to get ride of the water on them they would lick it and hydrate a bit that's what i do when im in the car with my cat and it's a bit hot so she's panting, i open the car's windows for air flow and pet the cat's back with water on my hand, she usually calms down then im from the west north part of france tho so the weather is not hell usually and the humidity is ok

I am jelly. Meanwhile, I can't finish a home work assignment while my professor sings my praises while failing me and letting me help teach her class. I have hand raised 3 cats, one under 1 week. I couldn't afford rent that two weeks for one of them. I can bottle feed babies and deal with ringworm, but I can't afford to do so alone so cats die. I think I am eating crazy pills. I spent 5 days hand taming a singleton who knows people are danger. My super hand fed baby has turned into an beautiful asshole after 2 years.

Yipes in re: rent. Are you fostering through a local organization or solo? Because an organization would (usually) supply you with food and meds, which might relieve some financial pressure. Good for you for rescuing kitties! I’m thinking of fostering, I have the space and the time, but my big 18-lb. cat seems to be a jealous fellow, so I’m trying to ease him into the idea of having roommates.

What state is this by chance?

If possible try to give us the timeline and the full story what happens to different group of cats and kittens and how many. Who goes where? If you give the story of each cat and kittes and please try to not let the film be caothic even the proces can be a mess. Thank you for you work - you should be so proud.
