    Watching with my boy while he recovers from his neuter, he is unimpressed by the kitten sounds, probably for the best that he will never make any, lol! Presently he is chasing his water bowl around cause he keeps hitting it with his cone of shame.

    My cat growing up was a feral my mom found under my dad's car. Mom was MIA. There were three there too. My cat was the runt. She had the biggest mouth of all three cats though. You could hear her before you could see her. Her name became Big Mouth. She lived to be the ripe ol age of 15. That little thing fought everything from birds to other cats. She decimated other cats with ease... also decimated my mother's window screen too. Lol!! Cats that small are fighters and the little guy with three legs is no exception. His source of power comes not from what he lacks but what love he'll bring to the family he chooses.

    Mary I always feel so seen in your vids, 'it was an unknown number, which I usually don't answer!' girl, same! Why answer when Google can tell me who dared call the hermit, adhd millennial whose phone has been on vibrate since 2012 and will only answer text messages (and even that will take 7-10 business days!)

    Can I tell you, I'm dealing with the stress of local rescuers being at capacity. A female cat in my area has had multiple litters of kittens. Some have grown up, some we've trapped and given away, some were hit by cars. We were unable to trap her until we figured out where she was hiding to give birth. I've contacted every cat rescue in my area plus local animal control and everyone told me sorry, no. One vet said she could help me for $500. My neighbor and I trapped the cat ourselves and two baby kittens. they're in a room in my house that is supposed to be an office and no one will help me get her fixed. So I'm a reluctant foster. The mom is very feral and it's stressful, but I can't risk setting her free because then I'll have more kittens to deal with. There is no animal shelter in my town, so right now I'm stuck with a feral cat in my house.

    He's currently with his mom. I'm monitoring his leg and if it looks like it's getting worse or isn't healing, he will be removed to the timeout toaster and reunited with his silbings at weaning.

    Love the video! While momma is with you raising the babies, how do you change out food/water/litter without her escaping?

  • @Fortheloveofkittenrescue

    @Fortheloveofkittenrescue

    Жыл бұрын

    Great question. Thankfully she's pretty determined to completely hide herself from me, so when I open the crate door to change food, water and litter, she just hunkers down and doesn't move. This is pretty typical with ferals once they have been trapped and transferred into a crate.

    Did Momma finally go in by her babies? She was sitting on top of the box or carrier when I first let her out of the trap I assume that she did, just asking. Years ago i had a wonderful Calico, so I am not at all surprised that she had the loudest "screams" at the hooman!

    Because she was gone from the kittens when we went to check initially. Had she been there, we would have trapped her first.
