Series 1, Episode 3: John collects Kayleigh, who is still suffering side-effects from a late night partying. They are annoyed when they run into supermarket fishmonger Ray (Reece Shearsmith), who they both nickname "Stink Ray". To make matters worse, Kayleigh has a lunchtime date with a Japanese man she has connected to on on-line dating site heartsearchers. She has learnt the language especially, but it turns out Jap Si wasn't even Japanese. John's lovelife comes under scrutiny, and we discover he was engaged to Charlotte but broke it off as he cannot commit.
Peter Kay's Car Share - Peter Kay and Sian Gibson star as assistant manager John Redmond and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson in this comedy series. Working together at an out-of-town supermarket, they are given a company car, but it comes with one condition: They have to share rides together. Without a choice in the matter, the pair are forced to get to know each other during their daily commute. Will they get along from one day to the next? The drama unfolds as John and Kayleigh deal with quirks like lateness and forgetfulness.

Not enough Peter Kay on our TV’s over the years. One of the most naturally funny men there has ever been. Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy Road to Know Where along with this. Proper funny.

The dogging and saying lady Diana with the smallest mouth possible - were the funniest episodes that had me crying

Yeah same here. I love the bit at the end of the dogging episode where Ken walks up to the car asking Kayleigh if she wants to go dogging. The way that John laugh's always makes me cry with laughter. Then he says "get in there Ken, woof" Lol.
Their chemistry is so genuine. It is lovely to watch.

Who else noticed the advert on the bus right at the start "Beaver Liquors" :) :)
Loved the episode when the monkey jumped in their car. So funny. Also when Kayleigh was locked in her house, nan & quiche in the fridge & the dogging episode. I'm sure there's more but the natural chemistry between them is superb. Wonderful warm British humour like the Detectorists. I'm proud to be British when I see these & repeats of past hits like Monty python. Not the nine o'clock news, Faulty Towers, Mr Bean & Keeping up appearances, Last of the Summer Wine etc Ooh not forgetting the Two Ronnie's.& Pete & Dud. Sorry got carried away.
