I took my mum first class to London for her sixtieth birthday, as she'd never been. When I picked her up to go to the train, she had the biggest bag of food with her I'd ever seen! Sausage rolls and everything. I politely informed her that good was readily available in the nations capital city and that I was taking her to Harrods for lunch. I gave the food to the homeless people in King's Cross. My mum said 'that's best beef sandwiches you've just given away'. There is no mum like a northern mam. Sidenote; I asked the taxi driver to take us down pall mall to see the palace, as it was for my mum's 60th. His wife had just given birth to a little boy and as a celebration, he turned his meter off and drove us around for an hour, with no charge! How fabulous was that?!

What a load of shite!

Saw the O2 show a week or so ago. No disrespect but felt, probably as expected it was not vintage Audience participation and overall involvement was limited and what the bit about adverts and chocolates was about was bizarre and too much non funny family stuff! Won’t mention the other disappointing bits. Peter Kay has been a very funny showman but the venue size of the O2 did not suit and on occasions he did look like a Rabbit caught in headlights. Perhaps smaller more intimate venues may suit and sitcom but the ridiculous costs and poor situation of the O2 made it a lack lustre day
