SIDE plot? It's the main reason I watch British panel shows!! It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen! I swear if I ever meet Bob Mortimer, I'll find a way to be his guest on WILTY for the "this is my..." segment so we can drive David crazy! It is one of my favorite things in life!

I quite liked the radio adaptation. It's easier, with radio adaptations, to get past certain realities caused by the advancement of time.

In all the years of watching Bob on WILTT and all the clips in YT, I have never seen that first one! It was like a hilarious unicorn popped up to cheer up my day/week/year

I can't believe there were three Bob stories I'd never seen. It's better than finding $50 down the back of the sofa. I watch his clips over and over.

The Bob Mortimer Supercut really needs to be edited in chronological order. I want an hour of Mortimerian tales with David Mitchell slowly unraveling as opposed to this one where he's at his most broken and we slowly see him become mentally well.

Well, USA feels pretty relaxed in other countries backyard. That is probably why. If you enter without invitation, you can say you are a local there. Most of us feel like you are some guy sleeping in our flat but is too strong to kick him out. And he is the police at the same time. And worst thing off all is that it's the USA police.

The production staff must have so much fun interviewing Bob to come up with statements for the cards.

One of the things I love about Bob is his generosity. When Lee or David makes a quip he loves it and laughs so naturally. It's a lovely characteristic.

Here, the "Big 3" do,ashwell but comedians, rarely, laugh at other jokes for a variety of reasons. Bob Monkhouse of The "Million Jokes" Book" used to say, very stone-faced and genuinely serious, not Deadpan, "THAT was funny"...

This video is less about Bob and more about David's slipping sanity, lol.

Everytime I watch compilations of Bob's tales on WILTY the more I am convinced he's actually a Discworld character who got displaced to Earth. 😂

The first clip shows a new kind of Mortimer storytelling: throw us off with a lot of unbelievable but superfluous details and then offer up an ending just anti-climactic enough to be perfectly plausible. This should drive David ever more crazy. (Also, BTW, David was the only one who thought to make a pun out of "still" in Still Barry. Not even Lee thought of that.)

Always a good day when a new Bob Mortimer WILTY clip VT pops up.

Best Bob Mortimer collection so far, but how did I never see that first one from the Covid era? Strap in, David!

Even tho I know there is no doubt that I have seen every clip in this compilation many, many times. I am going to enjoy it just as much as if I had never seen it before. Bob is a legend.

I’ve watched Bob Mortimer’s clips so many times and they never get old 😂 I could listen to his stories all day, they always make me smile

The way Bob covers his face with his hands when he’s laughing at his own story.

I've gotta say, I've watched Bob Mortimer's WILTY clips enough times to memorize most of them... I appreciate his ability to tell stories and entertain the people around him more now than before somehow. He's such a gem.

I find myself imagining Bob telling his children bedtime stories when they were young! Stories just off the top of his head, funny, ridiculous stories. Or greatly elaborating while reading childrens stories! 😆😉

I thought I had seen all the WILTY fabulous Bob appearances, but there were a couple of new ones in here, thank you!

I think that the overnight marathon to sleep during a film may have been the story which broke David 😂

In 2021, he released his autobiography called "And Away..." He reads the audiobook as well! And yes, it was a best seller.

Many years ago I was a manager in a tech store in Kent and Jim Moir [Vic Reeves] and Bob came into the shop. Both were in bouyant mood and Bob was kettle buying. He handed over his credit card. My administrator asked him the name on the card [there was a bit of a security issue going round] and he replied in a quiet but serious tone, "Mr Robert Mortimer." Everybody burst out laughing. He didn't find it funny at all [and why should he?], but he looked around and Jim was giggling and people were leaning against counters and shelves or doubled over. Eventually he giggled too. Then he looked back at the administrator, and she had kept her straight face until his wide grin sent her over the top too. NIce memory.

“Sniper’s dream” gets me every time.

Just heard this incredible new story from Bob the first time.....He just lived a different life from anyone else on this planet thus far, and hopefully continue to do so into the future too, and regale us with his story telling. The only person I have come across whose fantasy meets reality ...

I watch these episodeson a regular basis because Bob makes me laugh every time I watch him, his delivery is so very funny.

This illustrates the Holmes Fallacy like nothing else. I don't believe in crystal skulls, but I'm compelled to believe in the healing power of Bob Mortimer.

I get such mandela effect vibes from watching bob, I suspect he might be an interdimensional traveler. Feels like the truths and the lies get switched around with every rewatch i do of these 😂

I remember Standard Fireworks so I believed him but the story just gets better every time I hear it. Also had mates with bizarre names that today would probably be called abusive. How times have and humour have changed.

In earlier series it was occasionally Lee or David for the "This is my..." round, but over time I'm sure it became harder for them to supply stories for every show, and it was much easier for the guests to bring good stories. That being said, I've noticed that recently it has started being David or Lee again.

From the girlfriends' initials spelling "BERMUDA," to the massive set of keys on the keychain, to his map of motorway service stations (the different colors nearly made him lose it!😂), to being able to write his Christmas cards with his hands and feet simultaneously! That's light entertainment! 😂

@@laurareuther3743 I am well aware. I'm just saying, when they do it for the acquaintance, it often becomes so much easier to narrow it down, because one of the other two often mess up their story. I wouldn't want them to stop giving Lee outrageous stories, but just for the acquaintances.

I was at the dentist this week getting a filling and I was laid back wondering whether Bob would do a better job than my dentist… 🤣🤣🤣
