    @@camrodam Do you understand SUBTLETY? "Cube" is to multiply the same number THREE TIMES. For heaven's sake, go to night school, for both English Language and Mathematics.

    The most impressive thing to me is that Rachel got 1 away from 560. Took me a couple minutes and looking up the factors of 561 to figure it out, and she did it in 30 seconds in her head.

    I;ve seen the Paul Foot / John Richardson clip so many times over the years but I still watch it each time it comes up, specifically just to watch Sean.

    Paul Foot is an extremely underrated comedian. I love his intimidation methods with Jon. “What’s 78,000,000……. Div…..divided by 474,000”? I dunno. Do you? Roughly….😂😂😂😂😂 His performances on Nevermind the Buzzcocks are legendary.

    @@anotheruserism sigh. Do the maths yourself, and hopefully you'll realise you can make 24 in two different ways [4*6=24 and (5+7)*2=24], then it's a quick step to 24*24=576 - which also clearly equals 24² ... but 24² was arrived at without actually squaring anying, because it was just a clue to solving it by a different route. I deliberately didn't spell it out because I felt Countdown fans would have the smarts to figure it out for themselves, and never thought I'd need to explain it in crayon. FYI. The fact that Richard broke the rules by squaring & cubing gave me licence to do the same as a nod to his 'violation' ... aka, it's a joke.

    3:20 Joe is more brilliant then me, he used less number, but 100+9+8-5-2 = 110. 110 x 6 = 660

    I got the 576 by adding 5+4+7, getting 16, multiplied by 6 for 96, multipled by 2 for 192, multiplied by 3 for 576.

    8:28 I did 4x6 is 24, and 24 to the power of 2 is 576. But I never ever see anyone use ^2 to square a number so I'm not sure that is allowed, anyone know that?

    I did 7 + 5 is 12 Multiply that by the 50 That makes 600 Add the 6 and minus the 1 605

    9:08 I knew that 576 was in the 24 times table. So I did 6x4=24 7x3=21 + (5-2) = 24 24 x 24 = 576
