Can't believe Marin signed you up before they signed me!

Picked up an Alpine E1 and sessioned Galbraith in Bellingham today. All I have to say is I'm 100% sold. It’s without a doubt a gamechanger for me. I lapped Unemployment to Atomic Dog several times along with running jump lines out at Ceder Dust. All that, on one charge. The only regret I had was not having another battery to swap out. Unbelievable how much riding I was able to get in within two hours. More than I ever could on my analog bike. That said, on the E1 I was bombing down tech and hitting jumps like I was on a couch. Unbelievable how well tuned this bike is. It also felt much lighter than I expected. I got the E1 to see if I was even interested in eMTB’s. Now I’m screwed. I’m definitely picking up the E2 and handing the E1 off to my son. MARIN nailed it again.

So awesome you guys picked up Duncan! I'm eyeballing an Alpine E2 so hard right now.

I had a rift zone xr on order (backordered till late Feb) then started seeing the videos on this bike and the comments from those whove actually owned it. The common theme was once you get an ebike you wont go back. Then loam wolfs review where they road the alpine trail for an hour, then the E2 and showed actual stats of both rides where he rode twice as far in the same amount of time, burning more calories, and comparable heartrates. Then also seeing the urban reviews were impressive too. I was shocked seeing bikes online having them for $5200 and the E1 for $4200. I went to my L.B.S Sat morning. At 9am there were 2 XL's available. I told him to order me one. at 9:05 we went back and none were available. My order was confirmed and someone else got the last one. 2023 models ETA showed September. I'm hoping this bike lives up to everything ive heard for a casual urban/groomed trial rider. But at least i know ill have a bike that can do more if I want it to.

I like the sound of this series alot! Can't wait to see more insiders on more bikes like the rift zone carbon and the others

just a tip to avoid the shady footage, use a warp stabiliser in post production. stoked to see the series!

As of now, the Alpine Trail E1 is due to hit most global markets late in the first quarter of the year, and the E2s in the second quarter. We wish we could have them sooner.

@Marin Bikes will shops see anymore of the 2022 Alpine Trail E2's available for purchase anytime this year? All shops here in socal aren't even allowing a "backorder" or "preorder" placement. Really hoping to make Marin my first e-bike purchase!

We're making them as best we can, but there is huge demand coupled with a limited supply of some of the key components needed to build these models.

Anynews on delivery of the E2 to the rest of the UK yet? I've got my deposit down and hopeing to have something in the Spring....Am I dreaming?

Great question! We will have stock arriving late Spring, but these are all sold out. We will have more stock in the summer. Please bare with us whilst we try to get bikes as quickly as possible in these crazy times.

Cracking bike and it deserves to do well. Hopefully Marin will be able to deliver their bikes on time and on price. Not every manufacturer can, currently. BTW, according to the Marin website the E7000 motor kicks out only 60Nm of torque not 70.

Hey DB - 60Nm is correct, Duncan must have just misspoke. Also, we're doing our very best to deliver bikes in a very challenging environment. Every bike manufacturer is dealing with vendor and shipping delays right now.

I have put deposit on this bike . I love the geometry and the spec,my only concern is the EP8 motor . Does it rattle when coasting .?

We have not experienced rattles from the motors on the bikes that we have received and ridden prior to sending out to media for review.

We welcome you to the dark side ;) Depending on where in the world you are depends on when they will arrive. However we are aware that a lot of dealers have got orders for the stock they have coming, so best to check with them, and get in the queue sooner rather than later.

Hi there. I have the xl size. I'm 6ft 4. Find it too small. Need a 200mm dropper. Also thoughts on bigger stem and bar rises?

Yes, there are a couple of us tall guys on staff here at Marin, and we generally run 200mm dropper posts. Swapping out stems and bars is quite common for riders of all heights, in order to get the position dialed.

Great bike. I am 6.2 with a 34 inseam. Would you recommend a L or XL? Appreciate your feedback.

Love the fact that marin are suddenly not only back in the game but leading it as far as I’m concerned. This is the first ebike to tempt me in to the darkside.... 2021 marin releases excite me as much as the early 90’s bikes as a kid!

Hey Ryan. I am 178cm and ride a large. I could probably ride a medium no problem too but find the large just a little more comfortable.

Will you be making a trials bike designed with Duncan like you did with Matt jones and the Alcatraz?

The E2 is still on track for May delivery to North America, but note that the entire bicycle industry is dealing with unprecedented demand for bikes at the same time that our factory and suppliers are being hit by similarly unprecedented challenges in their supply chain. The time it takes to procure the components to build our bikes has doubled, tripled and, in some cases, reached unheard of lengths. At the same time, shipping costs and transit times required to get a bike to your local shop have increased dramatically. What took one month from our factory to our warehouse is now taking almost three months.

Look to add one to my collection but wondering about size...I am 6'2 tall and already have a marin alpine xr in large, with in been a mullet would I go for the large as well of ????

This is not something we have published as we feel the ride characteristics of the spec and geometry outweigh any weight comparisons

Hi thanks for the great vid. Im 188cm tall and on the cusp of the XL - the reach and wheelbase seem huge. im not a super aggressive ride and I'm wondering if the L wld be better

It is for sale now, but demand is huge and most bikes going into dealers are presold. It may be best to chat to your local dealer to find out what the availability is

@@gamkagan All stock coming into the country for the foreseeable future is pre-sold to dealers. If a dealer doesn't already have them on order then it will be late next year before we have free stock

Has the Shimano Ep8 been reliable?

yup -we have been extensively riding it, and have had no issues. However, should you have any issues the powerhouse that is Shimano will offer you great customer service

just a guess but will there be any signs of a Marin trials bike ? Because most trials riders create trials bikes with a brand that don’t have one

I actually ordered the wrong size so had to run a regular one until it arrived. :-( The Marin takes a a 30.9mm seat post and not a 31.2mm as I thought.
