She's not lying. Some people in my city be hating. We'll be a whole lot better if different neighborhoods in Detroit came together. And also she's right about if you can leave Detroit then stay away because nobody wants to see another one grow successfully. I've grew up in Detroit and I've stayed in other cities in Michigan but like Dorothy from the wizard of oz. There's no place like home especially when you're familiar with the city. I just love how hood even our beautiful ladies be. That's what's up sweetheart. Represent for Detroit and your hood. Also was that Central high. Because it looked like it. I'm familiar with the area.

Detroit women ❤
She reminds me so much of my youngest daughter. (Short & cute) One of the reasons I moved my girls out of the D. Because, I didn't want them to go through some of the things I went through while I grew up in those grimy streets. I love my city that I was born and raised in. I hope and pray that that young lady, and many others like her find their way out. I don't mean move out like I did, just out of that street life.

So, there is no way these neighborhoods can be changed for the better?
I'm originally from dexter but ended up growing up in a small town in ohio. I remember at one point in my life I blocked out my memories of life in detroit and never told people about me being from there. But now that I'm past alotta things and been opening up more I learned to never be ashamed where u come from. Detroit will always be a part of me because thats my mamas home and the humble gutter ass beginnings helped make me

Instead of leaving, when you get a few nickels, REBUILD that side of town the way you say you want to rebuild that spot your father used to hustle in. Imagine if Y.B.I. and others from days gone by would have got with the right people and reinvested their millions into the surrounding neighborhoods??? An entirely new generation would have been enjoying what they created. Just a few blocks away where you were standing, homes everyday are selling from 350k to a couple of million. That surrounding area SHALL NOT remain as it is.....but who do you think will primarily own and control it in the very near future???

This is the way the Linwood neighborhood is composed. North Linwood (Davison and Linwood) Linwood Heights (South of Davison to Cortland) Dexter-Linwood, and South Linwood (Clairmount to the Blvd.)

'my dad used to sell drugs, when he was alive.' glad she clarified. I thought he sold drugs after he died.

Dexter/Linwood is virtually a dead area. A forty year drug war took place on those streets; leaving the people dead, jail, homeless, mental ward, crack out. The survivors move out. The people who stayed are so damage they can barely function outside that environment
Living that street like ages you like hell.. it's better to life than trying that street life...all the 🤬 cursing is to much...Gheez
