I grew up in there in the East. 225 Wortman ave Linden Houses in the 80s. Rode the 3 train. Went to Gersh. Canarsie. Madhouse aka James Madison. Did my dirt. Risked it all to see shorties in Brownsville. Yelled corners in the elevators. It was fun but savage. Now I have 2 sons 15 and 12. But my boys are growing up in the burbs Hudson Valley. Safe environment. Excellent schools. My oldest is on the rowing team and honor role. Youngest takes advanced math and science classes. Studies Coding. I'm married to their moms 16 years. Home owner. My kid's lives are way different than my wife who's from Harlem and mines were. Looking at this video it's alot of memories but low key sad. So glad I escaped the hood. Wife and I worked hard. And now my boys have a better life and bright future. HBCU bound. Can't imagine my sons growing up there. And it always tripped me out how some cats didn't make a better life for their kids. Instead they doing the same thing. And it's messed up a white boy is profiting off black pain
