I'd forgotten about the patch notes. "Apologies, we messed up by giving Greg happiness" and "Baradun made even more good looking (again)", and the idea that you could previously defeat the endgame boss by just having a high enough charisma stat..😂

I expected as soon as he handed over the gold the dude would just immediately log off but not only did he stick around and accept that degenerate hand-holding he, unprompted, offered words of kindness and validation. Like, he takes gentlemen's agreements seriously! He agreed to be the lonely dude's girlfriend and damned if he wasn't going to be the best girlfriend this side of Tariel

This is why you quicksave before every decision, because you never know how hard the developers are working behind the scenes to screw you over.

It just occurred to me that the NPC in the quest who goes from loving and affectionate to just repeating one line makes a very interesting comment. “In spite of all of the horrific things we’ve seen, I would do it all again for you” If this were a real video game and you decided to start the quest over to spend more time with her I feel like it would end in a way that could lead to romance between the NPC and adventurer

Greg the garlic farmer had returned home after the defeat of Kelothac, was gifted a wife that he grew to love as their love trancended into the heavens, as a child was born. Only for them to be brutally ripped from Greg. That is when he decided to steal the quicksave scroll and return to his past, but he misscalculated, and had to go on his journey once more. Thus becoming his own worst nightmare and his own endboss. 🔚❓️ I bid you goodnight. 📝📁🗃🗄🔑

It's amazing how Rowan's tongue flicking can make me laugh out loud and feel extremely uncomfortable at the same time.

Greta is one of the best-written characters in this entire series.

24:07 This one was just wholesome. After Greg's heartbreak over his missing wife, I was waiting for tragedy to strike, but we got a wholesome skit of introducing someone to a game.

That soulmate skit was absolutely brilliantly done. The music especially was so impactful.

Witcher 3 had similar dialog option with Dijkstra It said "push him", and if you pick it Geralt will punch Dijkstra to the ground and break his leg

I put some random background music on for ambiance as DM for my kids playing DND the other day, and this Honeywood village theme came on. We all cracked up!

The production quality and acting in these videos is unreal. This group has gone from great to greatest of all time.

Oh, the discrepancy of multiple choice questions between what you wanna say and what the choice actually entails and the static answers and reaction you get which sometimes don't leave you with a way out, want it or not. I came here out of curiosity in my recommendations and I had a good laugh. Nice work.

I could totally imagine an awesome sketch where after they take gregs wife away from him he becomes overcome with anger and venegeance. We find out that all this time he was only living a simple life as a garlic farmer because he is retired and used to be a highly trained assassin. The sketch would have greg go on a mission to take down the gangster developers who murdered his wife and child. The sketch could play out like those movie recap videos. Title could be "Evil developers kill a farmers wife and child not realising he was a deadly assassin".

I love compilations like this - I found the channel late, subbed later then I probably should have, and it's just fun to have the little themes all caught up. Thanks for also remembering that comedy is more complicated then *just* jokes - sometimes a little tragedy that still somehow ends on a laugh can be just as, if not more, effective. ...Is there a petition to give Greg his wife back? Or at least some kind of win. Maybe a new patch quest to fix his gate so his sheep gets out less often?

man, that soulmate one hurt my heart :(( i think most of us rpg players have come across this kind of character at least once that just completely steals your heart, whether romantically or platonically, because they're just so well written and nuanced and loveable. but then, something like the "i will never forget you" thing comes up and shatters the immersive illusion. still hurts my feelings when, after everything we've been through together, garrus just shoos me away with a "can it wait for a bit? i'm in the middle of some calibrations" when all i want is to talk with him some more 😭😭😭

I know that feeling, platonically. I grew rather fond of Haurchefant in Final Fantasy 14 through all the hours my character and him spent helping each other and fighting at each other’s side. But then they killed him, saving your character from a magical assassin attack. And I don’t think I’ll forget him.

That “I will never forget you” one got me man. I’ve built up close connections with characters and when you finish the quest all they do is repeat the same line. One that comes to mind is that chick in mass effect who’s next to you on the deck. You can flirt with her but you can’t romance her.
