"Weird Al" Yankovic - Amish Paradise (Live at Red Rocks)
Комедия
This performance of "Amish Paradise" was recorded on Aug. 1, 2019 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO as part of our Strings Attached tour. This footage was taken directly from the IMAG feed. The Red Rocks performance featured the 71-piece Colorado Symphony, conducted by Scott O'Neil, who also arranged about half of the orchestral charts for the tour. These shows also featured my long-time band members (Jim "Kimo" West on guitar, Steve Jay on bass, Ruben Valtierra on keyboards and Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz on drums).as well as the greatest singers in the world, Lisa Popeil, Monique Donnelly and Scottie Haskell.

Weird Al is one of if not the most underrated performer alive today. His original musical compositions and arrangements themselves are sheer works of art, not to mention his hilarious satirizations of hit pop songs, which as you can see here he can still perform from memory (whereas some legacy bands resort to teleprompters for lyrics). Off the stage, he is a humble and down to earth man, representing the very best aspects of his faith. What a stellar life and career. Bless you Al ❤️

Shallex you’ve entirely missed the point. If the outcome sounds the way the artist wants it to that’s what matters and pitch correction can help with that. Auto tune is not an automatic negative and the though that it is and should not be used can has lead to artistic stagnation for some people

I saw Al at a local casino for my birthday one year and what made the concert even more awesome was that Al walked through casino saying hi to everyone before he came on stage through the crowd to get on the stage in the theater. I imagine some of these orchestra players thinking about all the time and money they probably spent at Julliard or some fancy music school and finding themselves playing background for Weird Al at Red Rocks. I hope they think "I made it, can't go any higher than this."

I kinda love how it's a full orchestra! Those strings behind each verse, complete with a conductor directing them. How easy would it have been to just synthesize that on keyboards? Not our Al! Bravo, sir!
Artists say they know they've made it when Weird Al calls. But playing Red Rocks means you've made it into musical history.
You're literally the best human we have.
I was lucky enough to see him last summer in Interlochen, MI...the man puts on an incredible show. He came out into the audience and stopped at my row while singing 'Tacky' if I remember correctly and I was just a few feet from him. I've been a fan since I was a teenager and I'm 56 now.
damn i wish i could see you live! love you so much, man!
This is awesome!
Back in like 2007 my cousin asked me to help him tryout for the Middle School talent show to perform this song dressed in our suits and beards. We def didn't make it but that memory taught me to stop caring about what other people think and just have fun making harmless art even when it's "dorky" Good times man

What a great show. What a great venue. Backed up by the Denver Symphony Orchestra...wow. And now to find out that it was recorded. I hope that the whole show will one day be available for purchase. Thanks Al, for being such a great showman, and for sharing your talent and whimsical joy with the world for 40 years.
