By the powers of the great Butcher, Big Mio, Bishop's Opening is here to stay. Mio thanks for the most magnificent presentation of this game of Wei Yi that is becoming quite a hot commodity. This game is everywhere!

Amazing game, loving bishops opening. Coach, you might wanna check Wei Yi previous game against Nepo, that was also bishops opening 🎉

Hello Miodrag, yesterday Alireza won against Nepo using the Jobava London we discussed in the comments. It is true that he equalized with your suggestion of the early .....c5. But the plans were always clearer for White if you see the match: push the kingside pawns, and bishop via h3 (instead of Bd3).

    What is the idea if black play e4 e5 Bc4 Nf6 d3 c6 line.

You play 4.Nf3 d5 5.Bb3 de 6.Ng5 which is just better for white. Black can improve on his 5th move reply but from my own experience, I've consistently faced this line and win lots of game as white like this
