I love this style of video! Also, re wedding makeup: I did my own as well for my wedding and I feel like if you’re a person who regularly wears makeup and are comfortable putting on lashes etc, doing your own makeup will usually turn out better than having someone else do it. On my wedding day, I also felt like it was really relaxing to do my makeup and just having that little quiet time. Can definitely recommend! And your makeup always looks so spectacular anyhow.

@@chandlerainsley I didn’t find it stressful at all, I actually loved having a little bit of normalcy on an otherwise very out of the ordinary day. And it honestly felt a little ceremonious as well. :)

Tessa Dare is the perfect gateway historical romance author, and the Duchess Deal is the one I would normally recommend! Historical Romance is my favorite genre and ngl I am thrilled that Bridgerton is bringing so many new readers to the genre. :)

Literally you could do nothing but lay in bed all day and I’d still watch the video a million times, you’re like a comfort channel for me, I need to constantly having something playing in the background and if I don’t know what to put on I put on your videos

LOVE this style of video and especially the GRWM cause your makeup always looks AMAZING. Really like how you edited that portion too!

I just dipped my toes into historical romance for the first time with When A Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare and I am so sold! It was so fun and the added context of the historical setting just made it more fun.

I did my own makeup for my own wedding, and I’m so happy I did! I invested in some key makeup products and spent a lot of time practicing exactly what I was doing.

Loved this! I like book talk mixed with life talk in vlogs

I loved 9 Rules to Break.... I found it so amusing and really like them as a couple. But I also haven't read a ton of historicals, is something I've really only started reading more of this past year.

II really liked how you included the products you used, *chefs kiss* for editing. I think the Victorian rebel series by Kerrigan Byrne or Lisa Kleypas's Wallflower series would be interesting to you especially books 4 & 1 & 2. Plus one of my most re-read books the secret and saving grace by Julie Garwood.

@@gnomie3908 My local library has all her books, so the library may definitely be a good bet. I most read eBooks so I was able to get her books that way as well.

Cricuts are so fun! I bought one while I was planning my wedding as well and used it soo much.

I went to my bf's friend wedding this week and she did her own makeup and I did her hair and she looked absolutely stunning. Just get a really good setting spray and REMEMBER NOT EVERY TRANSLUCENT POWDER IS FLASH FRIENDLY (this had never happened to me but i set my concealer with and elf translucent powder and it shows up white on pictures taken with flash)

Great idea to work on wedding stuff early! I was attaching things to the seating board the night before my wedding in the hotel lmao

Would love if you did a 90s/2000s historical romance vlog! My favorites are all late 90s/early 00s, and i think they’re in general better than current ones.

I love your vlogs ! your voice is very nice to listen to, the color palette/ aesthetic that your choose is also very calming. I think that in those reading/life vlogs you dont have to pack a lot of books or your opinion on books in them for the listener or viewer to enjoy your content 😌You might think It’s so random to talk about type of falsies or vitamins but you know, it might be a reminder too for people who forgot to get their vitamins or meds 🙄

When you were talking about you and Hayden sharing clothes I thought the whole haul was gonna be unisex and then you got to the cropped rugby top and that tiny ribbed shirt 😂

Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught is one of my favorites by her! I hope you can make a video about you reading her backlist but forewarned I hated Once and Always but except for that I enjoyed most of her books! But if not, almost heaven is sooo good

You should read Until You by Judith McNaught! Literally my favorite romance novel of all time. I re-read it in full every year and still look forward to it. Set in the same world as Kingdom of Dreams

i just use crest whitestrips. i have pretty sensitive teeth so doing them at a dentist terrifies me lol. i think they work pretty well

I really love your vlogs, chan! I've never read a historical romance before and I'm always nervous that they're going to be like....depressing given that women had like no rights. Are they always depressing or do they usually ignore that aspect of historical context? Like sometimes I don't enjoy historical fiction because it focuses so much on women's suffering and that's not really my vibe.

yeah i'm with you, i stay away from historical fiction because tooooo depressing for my liking. historical romances, especially those written in the last 5 years don't focus on women's suffering. some of the books might include women fighting to have careers or something but it always feels triumphant rather than sad imo. they kind of just feel like romances + pretty dresses and propriety lol

yeaaaah that was my big issue tbh. my face and neck were just not the same color. which is tricky, especially if ur doing makeup on someone crazy pale like myself. at least if i mess something up i only have myself to blame hahah

The iconic lite are my second favorite lashes ever! The HoL lash glue is good but I really recommend the velour one. It’s super stick but it’s easy to remove and doesn’t leave residue in your lashes
