Lol I own the first two books.

Yeah, I’ve read just about every type of romance, but I don’t care how many people tell me they love it… I don’t think I can convince myself to read anything with word “Milking”in it. There’s nothing sexy about that word or the idea of that action.

The first "the Risk" is not the best BUT I binged the Mindf*ck series so fast they are SO fast paced and so short and so it was easy to inhale them and I was entertained....so yeah Mindf*ck series fast pace and good

Morning Glory Milking Farm is one of my favorite books solely because it is so weird lmao The town is so charming and I really love the relationship between the H/h. The moth man from Sweet Berries on other hand…that tongue 👀

Hope you continue with the mindf*ck series I was like no way you not gonna like it it’s amazing, and honestly each book in the series is pretty short you can read the entire thing in one sitting. The Risk in my opinion was good opener better than many first books in other series I’ve read and it just keeps getting better and better!

I DNFed The Takeover and I honestly thought I was going crazy because it was so well-rated. This book put me INTO a book slump. Thank you for also hating it.

I also cannot with monster romance (except like vampires and traditional shifters and fae), I‘m really surprised so many of those were recommended. I love a good KU romance, I‘m currently on a Giana Darling kick after my big Sophie Lark phase last year. Most of my other KU recommendations I get from your KU vlogs, so I rarely have any to rec that you haven‘t read yet. The only KU book that I seldom see on booktube is Daughter of No Worlds which is a romantic fantasy a la ACOTAR. It‘s one of my favorite books/trilogies of all time!

So I found you in my recommended and I’ve been binging your videos ever since. I am SO HAPPY you talked about the misuse of “manic” in Stay With Me. Since I was diagnosed with bipolar II last year and have come to understand mania, hypomania, and mixed episodes, the many ways people misuse terms like “manic” or “bipolar” make my eye twitch so badly, ESPECIALLY when related to true crime or only talking about them in a negative context. (Holy run-on sentence, Batman. Sorry!) That book has definitely lost my interest now because of it. I hate being blindsided by that sort of thing. Much love and keep doing what you do!! ❤❤❤

I'm surprised she read it because I thought it'd mean she read the first book and that was...something 😂 the cover gives you a vibe that the book doesn't deliver, the writing is mediocre, immature characters despite their age, plot dragging through bad sex scenes...etc

The only monster romance books I like are vampires, werewolves, and pretty much any type of monsters that can be found in the Immortals After Dark series. I can’t do mothmwn, lizardmen, snakemen or giant spiders.

honestly if you're looking for an omegaverse intro kathryn moon's lola and the millionaires is rlly sweet/emotional and reads like a contemp romance (but obviously with.. omegaverse relationship dynamics which is more poly than RH) idk i haven't read many omgvrs books but i was surprised by how emotional it was and how much i loved it! (def check tw's)

I’d love to see a "want to buy" walkthru, that'd be fun! Might take a bit off your plate for the next eventual haul. Your thoughts on Praise rly rang true for how I read romance as an asexual, just replacing a kink or certain element with sex in general. Romance is my fave genre bc I love character work & lighthearted reads, but I rarely give them 5 stars. Unless a sex scene is based mostly in character or relationship development, it reads as corny or cringey for me, and it pulls me out of the book. Thought it was super interesting to hear such similar thoughts here.

I gave each of the books in Mindf*ck series like 3.5-4 stars but the overall the series 5 stars because the collective story is top tier 😂

Disagree about The Takeover as I really enjoyed the banter and comedy but I can see where it wouldn't be for everyone. If you enjoyed the first book of the Mindf*ck series, definitely keep going. It is completely unbelievable but such a compelling crazy ride that I couldn't put it down!!

Anne Fraiser has the some of the best books on kindle unlimited! You should check out the body reader series it might not be your preferred genre but I hated thrillers prior to this series and now I love them!

TL Swan is usually a hit or miss for me. I DNF'ed all her Mile High books, but love Dr Stanton

I’m begging you to read The Night Off by Meghan O’Brien. It’s Sapphic, has a lot of amazing smut, but sooo much angst which really makes sense with one of the heroine’s raising her teenage sister. And it even some groveling at the end which is amazing. From watching your channel I think you would love every aspect of this book. Anyone looking for a hot lesbian romance has to pick it up, it’s so amazing and yet I never hear anyone talk about it.

Whenever an author is writing in a language that is not their first language, the editor definitely needs to pay close attention to word choice. I’ve read so many books where certain word choices will just take me out of the scene and make me very aware that I’m reading a book.

Monster romances just don't work for me. It is so far out of reality that I just can't be invested. Morning Glory Milking Farm was strange because in real life cows/bulls are not milked by humans so it was just weirdly sexual. I suppose you've just got to take it for what it is.

I recommend Eden Finley's books! Either the 'fake boyfriend' series (which the first book was my least favourite but the others are really good!) or the 'CU Hockey' series with Saxon James as a cowriter.

I dnf’d The Takeover after 5% into the book because I can’t handle how the fmc talks about other women 😭 I just knew it was going to be a cringe fest for me

I read the takeover and I honestly don’t remember any of those cringy ass parts of the book lmao. Maybe just hearing it out loud makes it way worse. It’s not the best book ever but I did generally like it.

I read Submitting to the Alpha by Emilia Rose, I can safely NOT recommend this.

I absolutely hated the takeover too. I cannot fathom why it is so recommended by everyone! It’s awful!
