Västgötaleden is a bike route in western Sweden, Västergötland, or actually a network of bike routes. They lead you on small countryside roads through farmland and forests, to historical sights and small towns. This is the area where my thriller “Vikingaprinsessan” is set ( • Suntak Old Church - wi... ). There is plenty of space for camping (see the “Right of public access” in the links below) and many lakes to swim in, as well as campites and other accomodation.
The video takes you on part of Västgötaleden on the western side of Lake Vättern to camping in the beautiful area of Hökensås and further to the lakeside town of Hjo and finally to the city of Skövde. The trip was about 100 km and well suited for a weekend excursion.
