Ok kinda unpopular opinion but hear me out: Tyler isn't the one to blame. He was physically, mentally manipulated by Laurel, and litteraly CHAINED AND TORTURED. If season 2 happens (which I REALLY hope does) I want Bianca and Xaiver to slowly start trusting each other again, (lets be honest there was NO chemistry between Wednesday and Xaiver like come on) and for Tyler to betray and kill Laurel then end up w Wednesday cuz come on. I think the show kind of fuck up this couple. Because they are starting dating and when Tyler comes out as Hyde they act like nothing between happen (and I really believe that Tyler liked Wensday). So I think there story should go in difrent direction cause I don't believe that he was lying about how he was feeling about her.

I refuse to believe Tyler never had feelings for Wednesday

Hyde's seems to be tragic creatures. In order to create one, someone needs to basically manipulate them and the Hyde would be their slave. Ever loyal to their Master. In the first Episode, Tyler wanted to leave the town with Wednesday, possibly to escape his Master. A Hyde can be activated if they are subjected to Traumatic event and the Mastermind literally chained him in a cave, and tortured him to turned him to a Hyde. Since the Hyde is based on The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the more Tyler becomes the Hyde the more he eventually liked it. As Tyler explains, overtime Tyler remembered his victims. So he genuinely wanted to escape Jericho with Wednesday, however he is literally devoted to his Master at that time, and couldn't

Atleast Wednesday gets her first kiss to a murderer thats a dream come true for her tbh i want them tyler to be the final villain in the end and somehow Wednesday will save him from the beast now that the Hyde has been cut by its master

Honestly I am heartbroken.. when I found out that Tyler was the Hyde because it was so cute how Wednesday was trying to hide her feelings for him, and I’m pretty sure that the Hyde aka Tyler has feelings for her,and he was being Manipulated by his master he didn’t want to do it,he was being told to. And the fact that when he confessed to Wednesday he had a tear in his eye because he knew he didn’twant to do it. And the fact that Wednesday was about to cry made my heart sink, because they both loved each other Hyde or not. And it’s just so sad that Wednesday can’t trust him anymore because He played her but the thing is he didn’t want to do it he was being manipulated, and he actually loved her. And you could see in the show how much he was actually falling for her and how she was falling for him. And he is one of my fav characters. And it’s sad that the one person in the show That you would least expect to be the Hyde is the Hyde. Because he was nice and sweet and caring for everyone and Wednesday. So I just hope in the second season with is in two years unfortunately, she will return to the school and she will see Tyler and even though she doesn’t have his trust he will go to rehab and learn to control his powers, and hopefully Wednesday will gain his trust and they will bond through out the second season and get together again because they were so dang cute together and I read so manny comments about this and everyone around the world is heartbroken about Tyler and Wednesday and hopefully the people that make the show will do that. 😢😢

I think people forget that Wednesday is like also a sociopath? Like she tried to kill her brothers bullies...the reason why she was interested in the killer was because she was infatuated on to why someone would do it cuz *she* didn't get it (check out Jenna's interview on this) she didn't save Nevermore (initially) to be heroic but as a pride thing. But when she got closer to Enid and her other friends it's when it changed, Tyler was included in tht close circle. So for her, the first guys she's interested basically hurt her pride and the few few people she gives a fuck about. So it's this immense betrayal of both their romantic relationship and platonic. HOWEVER I don't think Tyler being a killer would sway her regarding her emotions for Tyler. Let's be honest here if anything I think she LIKED that part of him being a killer it's just the Context and WHO he Killed and why that bothered her . Its the fact that in Wensday eyes and also the audience that Tyler BETRAYED her and given the Addams family theme of unity even with difference and also Wednesday being prideful it's a double hit and understandable why she grows indifferent to spiteful of him, Tyler went against her , hurt her pride the few people she cares about AND her families morals. I headcanon that their exes that are still very much romantically and physically attracted to one another but can't because of all the shit that happened in the past.

Guys, come on. Tyler is a boy who doesn't get the proper attention from his father, he's without his mother, when he asks his father about his mother, his father is neglectful and doesn't want to talk about it. Then the little redhead saw that the way to manipulate Tyler was by using his mother, then it shows the Flashbacks of the little redhead approaching Tyler and showing him that his mother was a Hyde, she may have manipulated him in many ways, have spoken that the outcasts killed his mother, for him to get mad at the outcasts and help her, but he probably didn't want to help at first and so she kidnaps him, takes him to that cave and TORTURES him, we see him IN chains, then the little redhead appears with a syringe in her hand, I have the theory that that syringe must be some kind of drug that she gave to Tyler, or it could be that syringe that made him look bad. What makes me believe that Tyler is good, is that he was tortured, if he was really bad, the redhead wouldn't have to torture him, she probably did it to force him, another thing that makes me think he's good is that in the beginning he tried to flee the city with Wandinha, remember? I think he was trying to escape from the redhead and protect Wandinha, and remember when he tells Wandinha "at least one of us can leave Jericho" meaning that he was trapped there without being able to leave because of the redhead's control over him, but Wandinha could leave, he was already giving her tips and she didn't realize it, I think it was a way of asking for help, and there's also that scene in the police where he cries talking to her, I don't think it was acting, I think it was another way to ask for help

He can have regrets but that doesnt mean he cares about her. It doesnt matter what the actor thinks, it's the writers lol. Tyler first interaction with Wednesday was 100% genuine because he didn’t knew it was her the sacrifice, the others scenes were actually to get her trust, but he also liked her, the actor himself says it, and yes, what the actor says is important because he LIVED the character, he knows his character so if he is saying that Tyler actually liked Wednesday is because it is the truth. I think he will get a redemption arc, he deserves it, and I really hope they give a second chance to Tyler and Wednesday

The fact that Tyler was the one broke my heart. Their Chemistry was perfect, always wanted Tyler and Wednesday to be together, but Tyler just didn’t play with Wednesday, he played with me as well.

2:12 Even tho this is the scene where he admits to Wednesday that he's the Hyde, u can see it in his eyes that he is hurt by this. I don't believe that all that he did for her before was a lie, I believe he actually liked her but wanted to keep him being a Hyde a secret. For all those who feel sorry that Tyler is the monster: everything he did and said on Wednesday he did it unknowingly, under orders from Professor Tornhill. The human-Tyler truly loves Wednesday, but when he is transformed he is no longer himself. In fact, many times the monster-Tyler didn't kill Wednesday even though he was ordered to do so. All this is understood in the finale, when Tyler, after saying to Wednesday "You don't know what awaits you ..." withdraws and seems a little confused and disoriented, this because in that moment it was as if he were "commanded" by the Hyde which is within itself. anyway, great edit!

I think the biggest part was when he confessed about the Xavier thing, it seems like he was also referring to being a Hyde (after watching the whole thing) - I did a bad thing, but I'm not s bad guy. And I think he felt relieved when Wednesday reassured him that she wasn't judging him for his actions. And even at the confession at the police station, he basically hints to her that the "end" was coming. I think Wednesday still trusts him, and Tyler has real feelings for her. I mean other than the whole, main character armor, when he goes to kill her at the end he's slow and hesitant. Everyone else got slashed in their spot, but he trapped her against a tree and took a minute before trying to claw her - cue Enid's save.

I was heartbroken when he came out as the Hyde! Her and Xavier together are just so cringe and cliche.

No matter what the truth is for the sanity of my brain and heart I’m just gonna pretend that Tyler has always loved Wednesday but because he was manipulated, tortured, and abused by Thornhill that is the way he acted because a Hyde’s top priority is to listen to their master (he also just probably didn’t want to get abused more😃) so I’m praying that Tyler will have a redemption with Wednesday is season 2 and Thornhill will be dead and she can become his new “Master” or tame him. Essa edit ficou simplesmente perfeita, as partes altas da música junto com as cenas foi certinho, e mexeu com meu coração de uma forma que eu não consigo explicar, deu vontade até de chorar no final, eu realmente amei, a música combinou muito, e o pior é que eu só assisti o primeiro episódio, e já tomei um monte de spoiler (mas eu sou assim mesmo, já tô acostumada) parabéns, ficou ótimo

I wasnt sure if he was the hyde but i knew he was going to do her wrong! I loved the connection which made me more sad. I was screaming " something is up! something is up!" somewhere near beginning of his "crush" I hate that I was right :(

Maybe it will be a love-hate-then love again relationship? Maybe it’s love at second sight? As in second season…please. Don’t let it end like this for Tyler. Redeem him, prove he loved Wednesday but just went down a dark path of brainwash and torture. Please…I beg.

Was anyone else just waiting for Tyler to somehow defeat laurel and end up with Wednesday? It just didn’t seem real that Tyler could like genuinely be a bad guy
