I think in this situation we can say that the monster was not tyler aka hide and it was laurel, like we can´t blame him, he was literally a slave for laurel. I still believe he can turn normal if he gets helps and he can control himsef than and maybe he can help wednesday and even join nevermore. I had a hunch that Tyler was the monster, but I still shipped him with Wednesday. Especially after he gave her the perfect first date. I'm hoping that once he is no longer being controlled, he'll try to be better and gain Wednesday's forgiveness. She needs someone who will appreciate her murderous/violent impulses.

Same I had suspicions of him but hoped they weren’t true. The writers can make them super angsty in season 2 but I think they could come back around if he’s not being controlled. I mean they had that whole conversation about she could care less about what he had done.

Tyler is actually quite a tragic character, like dang. Tyler wasn't always a monster, until the Botanist literally groomed him to be Hyde. At worse he was just a bigot to outcast, making pranks at them, but when the botanist showed him her mother was an outcasts, he started changing his perspective. Moving away from his Outcasts Hating friends. Unfortunately the botanist controlled him and a Hyde's nature is to be loyal to the one who broke his shell. In time, Tyler became more intertwined with Hyde and liked it more.

In Episode 2 I already knew he was going to be the monster. Later after they jailed Xavier and when they kissed I was so happy that for once I was wrong. This happiness didn't last long. I hope that in season 2 he learns to control his beast and doesn't has the same fate as his mother. Maybe they can get back together at the end.

I loved their chemistry in this series. I was a fan of the idea that Wednesday had grew affection to a "normie" and at the same time Tyler had accepted her quirks. Xavier on the other hand seems off because he was so obsessed with Wednesday. But regardless I like the ending and love the series in all. Cross fingers for season 2 and love to see the same casts again including hunter(Tyler).

THIS Is exactly what I was thinking! Xavier was way too obsessive and got mad over the littlest things like I get it your deeply in love but your the 2nd choice. Tyler definetetly loves Wednesday. I think in the first episode when Wednesday went into the woods, I think that the hyde part of him obviously got out but what the hyde was thinking or doing was tyler. if that makes sense. The hyde takes control over him. Even in the confession scene, that was the hyde speaking not him. You can see tears in his eyes which I believe were Tyler trying to break out and take control over his own mind. I feel so bad for him because he's almost always being controlled by someone or something. I really hope he gets can take control over his own body and Wednesday and him are endgame. I refuse to believe that Xavier will ever be better than Tyler. I have a feeling that Xavier and Wednesday will probably kiss though which i'm not rooting for but I feel like it'll happen but I hope they won't turn into a couple. Xavier isn't boyfriend material at least to Wednesday. Team Tyler for life. Btw sorry this was so long lol.

@@jamialarsuel yeah and in my opinion Tyler was also a victim. Ms Thornhill used his mother's past to lure him after that he was kidn*pped, tort*red and dru*ged to transform into a hyde. I mean he was just longing for his mother and his father doesn't even want to talk about her. But I also realized why his father refused to tell him about it because it will make him realize that he was also a hyde which could open doors into him transforming into one. Honestly it's a bit confusing cause I don't know what to feel about his character cause on the other side he also killed a lot of innocent people. His character still has a lot of stories especially after the cliffhanger ending. Hope to see that next season (if there will be) 🤞

He's based on one of my favorite stories from the late Victorian period, "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde", a split personality case where the good side locks himself in a labratory to keep Mr. Hyde from killing anyone else, except in this world, the murderous side morphs into an actual monster when released and with the added complexity of a Master awakening the Hyde and binding the Hyde to them. This makes him the most gray-area character in the series so far. His human side is kind, his monster side begins to love what it's ordered to do. Gomez said it best, "I pity any boy who gets caught in her viper's gaze, but he must be a good egg. She wouldn't tolerate anything less." There's a reason Tyler's dad still loved his wife after finding out she was Hyde and why he still cares about his son, even though his idea of protecting his son is to keep info about his mom from him and send him to probably a hight security building in a straight-jacket

People calling Tyler a monster (like not that he’s a literal monster as in the Hyde, but rather like a psychopathic monster) forget that he was literally forced to turn into the Hyde and tried to resist for days while Laurel Gates had him locked up in a cave. He was injected with the Hyde inducing drug so much in that cave, that he actually succumbed to it, but I don’t think that’s who he is. Idk if I want him to be with Wednesday, but I at least want them to be friends. I hope he can become better somehow. I think him and Wednesday have a lot in common

I think people forget what the Adams family archetype is in general. They are meant to be an anti-nuclear family of sorts. In Adams family media, especially cartoons, Wendsday literally tortures her brother and the two of them think it is quality family time. A canonical Wednesday would not be affected in any way by a little of emotion and physical scarring (or by a lot of it to be honest), in fact all the things Tyler has done would be viewed as endearing. The Adams family has an unhealthy obsession with everything related to death and decay, as well as all things dangerous, that is how they have been established as characters in the franchise.

I hope in Season 2 they become a true love couple where Tyler redeems himself. They both are made for each other, excellent chemistry.

People keep saying that he is a monster. But should wednesday actually care? I think they are perfect together. Writers can make this really angsty in season 2. Now that they are on two separate sides.

I still ship them, I hope Tyler will have a redemption arc in season 2 and get rid of Laurel's control on him, I also hope Wednesday can forgive him for all of those bad things he has done, it wasn't his fault cause the Hyde took control of his mind and hydes must obey their masters without hesitation, I'm so excited to see how Tyler is gonna deal with his split personality. To the director: please give us season 2 with these two ending up as an official couple. They're the perfect match for each other and even though Tyler is the villain, I felt his chemistry with Wednesday was authentic and unique.

I say that in season 2 and more seasons 1: Wednesday Becomes His Master and prevents him from doing evil/bad ever again as a Hyde and they end up together. 2: Wednesday Sets him free as a Hyde and Tyler Controls himself Not to kill for evil or bad ever again. So he can be with Wednesday. #Tydnesday #Wyler

Oh, I'm ready for the strongest angst in season 2. And now it's even more obvious why, on a subconscious level, she was attracted to him - because of the combination of his dark and light sides. He really is half a monster, but I think his human side is full of good things and I hope he meets the right master to help him control his dark side. I feel that his feelings for Wednesday are real, and I'm so sorry that he was held hostage by that crazy woman. I really think that they belong together, they are perfect for each other for many reasons. And I think we will see how he will fight with his dark side becouse of her, and she will fight first with herself and her feelings for him, and then she will fight for him.

Not hating but I think I'm starting to see _why_ Tyler was the Hyde:So that way toxic Wenclair shippers can have an easy-out when they tell us Wyler shippers why shipping her with Tyler is bad. I mean, in all of the Wenclair fanfics that I've read, Tyler is always painted as the villain who wants to kill Wednesday. In case you forgot, he was _forced_ to become the Hyde. But seriously tho, Tyler and Wednesday had some of the _cutest_ chemistry I've ever seen. And I _refuse_ to believe that Tyler is gonna be the main villain of s2. He's just too much of a pure cinnamon roll to be evil. Praying Wyler can be endgame or else we riot!!!

Wednesday loves her solitude and her heart is hidden behind a mountain of defenses. It's not something she shows often and making her show it is no small feat. I don't believe his feelings were an act as Wednesday is incredibly difficult to get to know. You don't keep coming back to her unless you genuinely see something in her and enjoy her. And I feel like Tyler picked out "Legally Blonde" specifically because Wednesday would appreciate that. To her, it is torture. And this girl loves torture. It was a "See, I get you" kind of gesture. It was Tyler showing that he really understood her when hardly anyone else has ever tried. The Tyler we see in the finale doesn't feel like Tyler. It feels like someone else. If you're asking me, Hyde took him over completely when he said "What does it feel like to lose?" From then on, Hyde is the dominant personality and Tyler is not. I strongly doubt that Wednesday will trust him completely again or that she'll let her defenses down as much as she did. And what Wednesday did to Tyler is horrible, but she warned him when she said "I'll ignore you, stomp on your heart, and always put my needs and interests first." He accepted her anyway and still wanted to be with her. It may take a lot of time, but I think Tyler will forgive her if he can ever get control of the Hyde. The real question is if Wednesday can see Tyler for who he is and not see him as the monster.

You perfectly explained how meaningful Tyler’s gestures were, and why he was the better choice as a romantic partner for Wednesday. The progression of their relationship felt natural and genuine. I feel like the show threw Tyler’s character under the bus just for that Hyde plot twist, like he was a totally different person in the end. Hopefully in season 2 everything will be explained and a redemption arc for Tyler is in the works because he and Wednesday can’t end like this 😭

With moments like these, I feel like like Tyler and Wednesday could have really been such a cute couple!! I’m rooting for Tyler. I feel like almost everyone who doesn’t ship these two together is bc they think that he’s the Hyde and he fooled her ( didn’t love her ). But in the ep 1 when he was helping her to escape from Jericho, I think he ac felt bad for her bc she didn’t have anything to do with the past. I think he was also being genuine when he praised her dress, laughed at her dancing and enjoy seeing her watch the “ horror movie “. There was also sth else to keep in mind, non Weyler shippers, he was manipulated. I rlly hope these two make their way back to each other in S2 bc they have such good chemistry and he broke her rules for him so… TEAM TYLER❤

I love that her expertise in dissection is not only her tool for her detective thrill but also now what enables her to patch up Tyler perfectly. His "Thanks, Doc" says it all and is a monumental praise of her and her skill and is also very romantic because who else would patch him with such care?As the Hyde, he gets hurt doing what he's told, his Master can even have him scratch himself, and now he has the Stalker as his Master and his new orders are to kill Wednesday. I can just see him getting knocked unconscious and morphing back into Tyler and Wednesday patching him up. None of her friends will understand her patching up her assasin, but then again, they wouldn't understand her parents making out with pokers in their hands either. [SPOILER WARNING] OK SO. IK THAT TYLER WENT TO PRISON. BUT LIKE WEDNESDAY AND XAVIER ARENT WORKING FOR ME. In my opinion, Morticia and Gomez work soo well together because they are both twisted and see the same things, but in a different perspective. They both want same things, but also have different interest. With Morticia taking a liking to gardening, and Gomez being interested in fighting. They are both supportive of each other and bring out their best selves. Gomez making Morticia more playful and Morticia making Gomez rest/calm down a bit. Xavier is an artist, but I don't think he cant support Wednesday through her revenge, and homicidal tendencies. While Tyler understands her dark aspects because He has those homicidal urges too

He is an ordinary guy, she is an eerily strange girl who loves to do terrible things. But this couple has its own charm, which I hope we will see again on the screen. I really want to believe that Tyler is still somewhere inside, that the monster that was awakened did not absorb him and take over his entire brain. After all, he's also been a victim all this time and deserves his happy ending.

Then I think they can make a very interesting story of Tyler and Wednesday from there, two teenagers with good and dark sides, where they try to find a balance in that, in season 2 they can go deeper into the story of Tyler and his mother, make Wednesday his new master and help him control himself, show that he can be good, and they can make Tyler fight his dark side, just as I believe he was always trying to do, make him strive for Wandinha , I think it's a much more interesting arc, I think Wandinha and Xavier would be more natural and cliché, just a romance between two teenagers at school and that's it, whereas Tyler and Wandinha would be a darker and more mysterious couple trying to find the balance of their two sides together. Netflix has everything to do this, let's see.

He calls her out on her crap and can't be bought. He makes her respect him. And of course her real first love ❤️ is a sadistic killer but so is her family. Xavier is a whiny wimp. He needs someone who will indulge him because Wednesday never will. Tyler meets her head on and now that Tyler is out of Laurel's control and making decisions for himself he and Wednesday will be great once he regains her trust. A monster for a Addams is a perfect match.

Tyler didn’t deserve what Laurel did to him. He was truly in love with Wednesday, you could tell, they had amazing chemistry and were understood each other. Also, Tyler was one of the only people who actually understood Wednesday and liked her for who she was. It broke my heart when I found out he was tortured into killing people, and tortured into becoming a bad person. Laurel made him believe that killing was good and not killing was bad. She told him lies about his mother and manipulated him, which sadly he might not recover from. Say what you want but Tyler isn’t the person that he was in the last few episodes. I really hope that in season 2 Wednesday and him can be together and he can recover, because without a doubt they were in love.
