Guys, DO NOT EVER CUT OUT CONTENT LIKE THE CHICKEN TIER LIST. Good vibes, coming up with a take and not dying on that hill & in general messing around, is what this show is all about! Awesome idea, Nikhil!
Watching Klay go scoreless and the warriors getting stomped out like draymond did sabonis is hilarious
Mo won’t watch a movie but will watch 2006 highlights of a role player he considers nice
Mos not about to grind, but he probably on grindr

This podcast is so unserious and I love every bit of it😂
Legendary start to the podcast
Mo was the only one who didn't cheat in the non-shooting draft 💀
Here’s my comment/hot take: Steve Nash 1000% deserved both MVPs. In 2002-03. The Suns had ROTY Stoudemire, Starbury, Joe Johnson and Shawn Marion. They won 44 games. Next year, they brought everyone back, and imploded. Traded Starbury midway through, fired their coach for Mike D’Antoni 20 games on, and won 29 games. Their off-season acquisitions were Steve Nash and Quentin Richardson (who shot below 40% from the field for that season). They won 62 games, tied for franchise best at the time and a 33 win turnaround from previous season, only surpassed by the Big 3 Celtics, and the Spurs twice when Tim Duncan and David Robinson joined the team. Nash averaged 15.5ppg, 11.5apg 50-43-89 shooting splits. His biggest rival for MVP was Shaq who joined the Heat after a 42-40 season and elevated them to a 59-23 record, a 17 win turnaround. Shaq averaged 23ppg 10rpg 2.3 bpg on 60% shooting. His costar wade averaged 24ppg 7apg and 5rpg. They also added free agents Christian Laettner, Damon Jones, Shannon Anderson and past-their prime All-Stars Alonzo Mourning and Steve Smith over the course of the season. I don’t think it’s crazy to suggest that Shaq would have been deserving of MVP this season but I do think it’s crazy to just dismiss Nash or frame it as a robbery. Shaq was on the decline at this point and, whether fair or not, superstars usually don’t get MVPs after they’ve started to regress, even when they’re still very good. Furthermore, Shaq was joining a solid team with Dwyane Wade, and flanked by strong reserves and role players. Nash also had good costars and roleplayers- many of whom were unproven at the time. Nash was the only noteworthy addition - the coach and players were all otherwise returning - and he generated a historically great offense and a win improvement almost double of what Shaq did. Again, Shaq was a deserving candidate, but I don’t think it’s crazy to pick Nash over him, unless you’re only looking at ppg as the metric for MVP, in which case it should go to Wade or Stoudemire. In 05-06, the Heat added more past-their-prime All Stars in GP and Antoine Walker along with Jason Williams and James Posey. Shaq’s production decreased slightly to 20 ppg 9rpg 1.7 bpg and the team’s record slipped to 52-30. Pat Riley took over partway through the season and the team as a whole dealt with injuries, including to Shaq but was held aloft by Wade averaging 27.2ppg 7apg and 6rpg. I hope no one seriously thinks that Shaq deserved MVP this year, the year that he himself says he told Wade that he needed to be the best player for the team to succeed, culminating in Wade winning FMVP. Honestly, I’d be way more swayed if people argued that Wade deserved MVP over Nash but they don’t. Instead they argue for Kobe, whose numbers were RIDICULOUS. 35.4ppg 5.3rpg 4.5apg. The thing is, the Lakers sucked. It’s not Kobe’s fault, but they were 26-26 at AllStar and finished 45-37 after a 5-game win streak to close the season - their longest of the year. Good for the 7th seed. Never in NBA history has a player ever won MVP on anything lower than the 6th seed, which had only been done once since 1979 at the time of this season from Kobe (has since been done twice more by Westbrook and Jokic). You might dislike this criteria or how much winning is valued but it’s been fairly consistent. Bill Russell never had better numbers than Wilt but he won 5 MVPs to his 4 (and this was back when players voted for the MVP). All this to say, if you believe Kobe should have won, I don’t think you’re wrong but you should take it up with the entire history of the award rather than Nash. And what did Nash do? He averaged 18.8 ppg 10.5 apg 4.2rpg on 51-44-92 shooting splits and led the Suns to 54 wins - after trading Joe Johnson to the Hawks for Boris Diaw (whose career high to this point was 4.8 ppg) and 2 picks and trading QRich to the Knicks for Kurt Thomas, with Stoudemire only playing 3 games all season and reserves Barbosa and Kurt Thomas missing about 30 games each. So 2 starting players were traded for reserve players, Nash’s costar played 3 games all season after fracturing his knee and two of their valuable bench players also dealt with injuries and Nash STILL led them to 54 wins and the 3rd seed, only an 8 game drop off. I don’t care if you come away from this still thinking that Nash didnt deserve this MVP, please just acknowledge how impressive that feat. It’s good for your health. Lebron was actually the closest to Nash in MVP votes and his case is pretty unreal. The Cavs were a 4 seed and he averaged 31ppg 6.6apg 7rpg. I’m honestly surprised how much people talk about Kobe winning MVP this season when LeBron was doing this (Kobe was 4th, also behind Dirk). I don’t have a great argument against Lebron winning over Nash, but what Nash did was impressive and it doesn’t seem like anybody cares beyond discrediting what Nash did so I’m safe. People who say “it doesn’t make sense that Nash has 2 while Kobe and Shaq have 1 each” are making a nonsensical argument because that’s not how MVP works. It’s not about voting for which player we’re projecting to be better all-time. And the best player in the world doesn’t always win MVP, or else Lebron would have a dozen of them. It’s who contributes more to their team for a season. You might measure that differently, but the idea that it’s impossible for a player to contribute more in a 2-3 year stretch than a declining superstar and a historically unlikely candidate just because those two are overall better is just lazy. How often in the GOAT debate do we just say, well Kareem has 6 MVPs so he clears Lebron? No one believes that more MVPs automatically equals a better player and no one is arguing that Nash is a better player than Shaq or Kobe. Those latter two can be much better AND Nash can still deserve his two MVPs. Why do all these people who are so worried about Shaq’s legacy never bring up the 1998-1999 season? A geriatric Nasty Man took home his second MVP averaging 23ppg 9rpg 4apg and leading the Jazz to the 3-seed. Meanwhile all Shaq did was average 26ppg 11rpg 3apg 1.7 bpg on 57% shooting and leading the Lakers to a 4-seed. Why don’t people caping for Shaq talk about this season’s MVP? Do they think Nasty Man is better overall? Do they think he deserves 2 MVPs over Shaq and Kobe’s 1 apiece? It’s just easier for people to push agendas with Nash since he’s not an all time player and he was never a traditional scoring number 1 option. But so what? Again, nobody is saying Nash is the best player of the crop. But there were two years when you could argue that Nash contributed more to winning than any of them. Were there favorable circumstances? Sure, but there always are. Were the criteria used exactly and unequivocally the most accurate and precise measurements of “value”? No, but they never are. Nash played a fun and incredibly influential brand of basketball - and he won a lot of games while doing it! If you haven’t already, watch some of those Suns highlights from that era. Even if you don’t agree with me, it’s a lot of fun to watch and you shouldn’t deprive yourself of that. Anyways, if you made it this far through this stupidly long rant, thanks for reading. Peace✌️

evan mobley is actually crazy underrated on offense now, im a sixers fan and during the cavs sixers game he hit like 2 threes. He doesnt need to be a stretch 4 like a guy like keegan murray, he just needs to be able to hit maybe 1 or 2 wide open threes in a game. He's also a solid finisher. the passing isnt there but I think he should get more love for developing his game. cavs a first round exit tho

Hoping for comment of the day. I genuinely believe a healthy Knicks team would win the champion this year and I don’t think it would be particularly close. I’m a bucks fan, I don’t care about the Knicks as a franchise, but I am a fan of defense and hard nosed basketball. Thibs is an underrated coach and would out coach bum ass Mazzula all day, and I would much rather have Jalen Brunson in a 7 game series over Tatum because Tatum’s late game decision making is atrocious. Thibs will scheme Brown damn near out of the rotation and Mitch-Rob + Hartenstein will have Kristaps rebounding like goddamn Pepe Sanchez
